In today's video, I'll be tackling the start of what I believe will be the most intense portion of this build, the chassis overhaul. Despite the car driving good in the prior episode, a closer inspection revealed a lot of worn out components. The bushings, ball joints, tie rods, and more all showed significant wear so I elected to remove and replace pretty much everything. Not only that, but I also took extra time to restore the parts and make everything look like new before reassembly. Due to the intensity of what I'm going to have to do on this car, I'm splitting up the chassis rebuild into two separate videos. This video will focus on the front end. The next video will focus on the rear end. Thanks for watching!

Seeing that the rear setup is a front suspension from a Chevrolet Citation, it would've been pretty cool if Pontiac had sold these with optional 4WS back in the day. Either way really neat overall in my opinion. Love the vids! Keep it up 👍👊

They supposedly considered it, to combat the poor turning radius.

Wow this thing's coming along nicely!! I did a full suspension rebuild on my daily driver, and what a difference it makes! My car handled pretty good. Well At least I thought it did. but same thing, Once I started tearing things apart you could see how worn out everything was. Can't wait to see the interior transformation.

Also, today I learned that the Fiero's rear suspension came from the Chevy Citation.

Have you checked if the tachometer is for the four cylinder Fiero? Don't they use a signal from the distributor counting how many times the coil sends the spark?. That's probably why the tachometer is reading an over rev.

Looks good. I see the exhaust has a muffler delete with a glasspack where the Cat used to be. Is there really that drone we could hear in the test drive or is it your Mic?
