Love you guys. Best horse channel on the interwebs. I own 1 of your bits, and just ordered 2 more!
I'm in the south east, but I love hearing about the history of horsemanship in the west.
I've said it before, and I'll say it again. You're a centaur 💪🏿🤠🐎
    Cheers y'all ✌

My favorite part of this video is the closeup of the horse picking up the mouthpiece of the snaffle.

I can remember a time, back when I was young and broke, that I made a lot of my bridles, reins, curb straps, cow strings and breast collars from the twine that came off hay bales. They weren't very pretty but they got the job done. And there was always plenty of it laying around. I have never tried to make anything from netwrap but I'm sure there is someone out there who is broke enough to at least have tried it...

Love watching your videos. Would love to see something about leads/lead changes I don’t think I’ve found a video from you about them

You recently mentioned the book "Colt Starting" by Brent Davis. My question is.... Do you think the best you can do is to get a horse to 'Tolerate" human directions as BD writes or.... can you get a horse to accept, agree, attach and actually seek attunement with the human. Do you believe a horse can 'WANT' to please the human versus obedience and/or submission? Have you ever read "The Essence of Good Horsemanship" by Ross Jacobs? I like both books but I guess I want to believe there is more to the relationship than mere tolerance or obedience on the part of the horse.

I believe that there is more to it than just a horse being obedient. Over the years, I have seen horses do things for us that cannot be explained by simple obedience. I hope that gives you some idea of what we believe.

If I may add my 2 cents. I don't think obedience, submission or merely tolerant. I think, and it's been my experience to varying degrees that a horse 🐎 will get to the point where it really wants to work with you in an upbeat, willing fashion. Just my humble opinion.

Hey! Love it! Is Cayuse an Arabian, Aralusian or Quarab? Sure looks like an Arab!

I don’t know anything about horses but I want to buy one. Where do I even start?

Take lessons first. Get a reputable coach to guide you.

You definitely need to spend time with horses and horse people before you commit. It is the biggest commitment you can make besides having children.

The horse hair Mecate as I see it this is just my two cents… has more feel in it for the horse but,not when you’re plowing reining.
Sit on one with your bare legs. Then you can imagine how it might feel on the horse’s neck.
Riding with it in mesquite county naw not a great idea 😮
