Tom Hanks is awesome in this film! Great review Will! You've earned my sub.
Thank you so much! He really is great, this is one of his best performances IMO.
Hey Will. This is one of my favorite films ever. Glad you did a review. I'll respectfully disagree about the film feeling "dated." But otherwise great review. The cinematography is downright amazing. I'm not a huge Tom Hanks fan, but he was phenomenal in this film.
The way movies are nowadays I can't help make the MCU types of connection. Tom Hanks character is definitely John Wick's great grandfather and then Michael or his son at some point moved to Russia and eventually Mr.Wick is born.
Road to Perdition is sooo good! I'd also recommend The Untouchables, Gangster Squad, Sleepers, and The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford.
I've actually never seen those other ones!
@@WillFoxification The Untouchables and Gangster Squad are a ton of popcorn edge of your seat fun. Sleepers is a historical drama, with a crime/courtroom drama feel. The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford is similar to There Will Be Blood, in that they're both historical period piece dramas (Oscar bait) but I like TAOJJBTCRF more.
This is one of Tom Hanks best movies but so low key many people missed it. I saw it years ago in theaters but went in knowing nothing other than Tom Hank and Paul Newman were in the film which was enough for me. Surprisingly but not surprisingly good.
Jude Law was super creepy and Daniel Craig is a master of American acsents.
Dude, Jude Law was creepy in this movie! Yeah, this performance slid under the radar, but its one of Tom Hanks best.
Great movie. Great review. Still waiting for Cast Away hehe
Haha thanks, Fae! I'll get it to it for ya. Anything to wash away the taste of TLOU 2 lol.
@@WillFoxification hahah I know right!
What do u mean dated the movie is set inthe 30s... Also the whole soundtrack is by Thomas Newman there are not some songs its like one composition that is a big part of it and he is a long time collaborator of Sam Mendes.. You haven't even tried to understand the film, totally amatuer aproach and review, stick to blockbusters ;)
