As an ex hair stylist, the metal guys with the long hair had the HEALTHIEST and most shiny hair ever! When I quit, I let my own hair go natural, and now I have locks that rival all the early thrash metal dudes. Pure inspiration.😂

I'm very protective over my hair got my Argan Oil, my Sea Salt Spray, I even carry a travel brush in my jacket to make sure it's pristine throughout the day, I get my hair trimmed as recommended by my hair stylist I feel like a lot of guys don't take care of their hair and then they smell like fertilizer and have gross greasy hair and I don't want to be like that, us Men gotta take care of our hair too

I have a story regarding the "metalhead/emo mixup." I was grabbing food at my college's cafeteria a few weeks ago, and I was just sitting in there waiting for my next class. This table of girls next to me were talking about some guy that I think one of them was kind of into, but she seemed kind of skeptical about him. So one of the other girls goes, "Ohh no, is he emo?", looks at me and says, "... like him?" It was such a funny thing, because I literally was sitting at my table listening to Björk with a big smile on my face (probably because I had just talked to a much nicer girl before this happened), and I just had on jeans and a black shirt. Now, obviously, I'm no longer a True Metalhead because I should have been absolutely seething over that comment, but instead I took the poser route of laughing about it and moving on with my day, lmao
