I love the sneaky balm! I do have very dry skin so maybe that is why. It does not feel heavy to me at all. It feels very light on my skin. It looks very natural to me. I do love it!
I was about to buy a pallet and after watching this I don’t think I will. I wanted everything I needed in one pallet and I don’t think I like the coverage, I have acne scars and red spots and it doesn’t look like it would hide that, so thanks for the honest review!

I enjoy the sneaky balm, but I do have quite dry skin, so it reacts differently on me. It is very sheer, so for days I want to cover more of my redness I reach for the Vapour luminous foundation stick (light coverage) or the Kjaer Weis cream foundation (medium coverage). I am also enjoying her blushes as well, will have to check out the bronzer. Thanks for your honest review 😊
Omg thank you for sharing your experience, I have the exact same problem with the sneaky balm! I also use tretinoin and sometimes I get very flakey and when I apply the balm, it looks like my entire face is peeling off… also felt heavy and oily. I thought I was the only one because everyone else seems to love it

I just found your channel from searching "Salt NY Review" and am now a subscriber because I really appreciate the way you reviewed the product and showed them on your skin. ♡ I think you just saved me from wasting my money lol -- I had only seen reviews on Salt NY from Hannah Louise Posten and Kackie - and I believe both of them are friends of the creator of Salt NY and I at least know they've received their Salt NY products as PR. I wanted to see what other "normal" people thought of the formulas. And the Sneaky Balm sounds like a nightmare to me. I want to have a light-but-buildable coverage base product that becomes 1 with skin and leaves a nice natural healthy glow. And if it leaves a film and moves around - oh hellll nah! Lol and the highlighter - by the way you described it I can tell I have better already, so there's no need to even try this. I already have a lot of creamy cheek products that I enjoy, so no need to buy these. And I actually have some cream bronzer/contours I like too. So I think I got this out of my system with this video! TYSM! 🌹 I really appreciate a good review video. ♡
So funny. I have a completely different opinion of SNY. I'm obsessed with sneaky balm! I am fair skin, red hair, and freckles. My skin is always red looking. I found Sneaky Balm to cover my redness extremely well. It also gave me a blurring effect over my huge pores. I have combo skin and particularly flake around my nose and this has never sat weird on my face. I don't find it sticky and also find it slightly buildable. Right when I put it on its a little more dewy than I like but once it settles it looks more natural. I will say I can tell a huge difference when I have prepped my skin or if I need to exfoliate. I have heard many talk about how this product really plays differently depending on what you wear underneath.. like moisturizer. Putting it on not long after moisturizing I find it to go on really well without pulling. I like to use the Leia tool for all over and my fingers for places I need more coverage as it goes on thicker. I also always pat over everything with a clean powder puff to smooth everything out. I find it to wear really well throughout the day and wears away without looking blotchy. Its also extremely easy to touchup. I love the other cream tints as well but do not find they are as long lasting when wearing on top of the Sneaky Balm. I'm with you on the highlighter. I'm not much of a highlighter person anyway and this line of makeup is so dewy on its own the highlight is overkill on me. I'm really loving the magnetic pallete. I feel fancy using it and find it really intuitive to "paint" my face. Two other huge wins for me are the simple ingredients and the zero waste packaging!
I’m glad it’s working great for you! I’ve found it to look solid by the corners of my nose (usually a problem area) but accentuate areas that usually look better with other products so it’s just been a mixed bag. I do find that it foes settle by the end of the day, but I’m not sure if it’s just the product wearing away, and the initial balmy/dewy feeling sticks around for a couple hours on my skin
I love reaching for my SNY palette so I’ll probably keep messing around with these as well

Good skincare is the first step for the best result. When I use a specific serum and a moisturizer, my foundation breaks up and looks horrible. If I were to judge the foundation alone for how it wore, I would have thrown it away. But it is the best drugstore foundation I have ever used. I just have to know what plays well with it.
Even though complexion products are called foundation. I believe skincare is truly the foundation because it sets the tone for what is placed on top of it.

great video, I just ordered the large pallet and added cocoa along with rose. I would love to see a double decker zip pallet and a few more blushes. Do you have any updates or tips or tricks? I love how calm and easy your video was to watch, like talking to a good friend.
Ooh hope you enjoy! I dont have any particularly creative tricks with these other than mixing colors together (i just dip in different colors with the same sponge but i know some people will scoop out product to mixing a custom shade)

I have combo skin and I just do a light layer and powder on top and only powder my T zone.
I think this is one of those brands some people might want to like more than they actually do. Some hits and misses for me. The blushes (I've tried 3) really don't settle well on the lips and they're pretty and bendable on the cheeks, but mostly very pure colors. So chose wisely.. The original formula had silicones and in the past year she took the silicones out. Kiki is going to add more neutral shades supposedly. I found the Pearl highlight to have too much noticeable glitter for my taste and I didn't need a whole pan of it before it went bad. The bronzers are okay and I can wear it with less or more coverage. But I hope she comes out with another tone for more pale skin. I was also disappointed the shade range didn't go fair enough for Fitzpatrick 1 tones. I don't understand why its taking her so long to add another shade.
This is a spot on summary that my experience resonates with. I definitely find myself wishing i liked them/they worked better for me than they do
The lightest shade is too dark for me as well, and I think a bit too yellow. I'm trying to mix a better shade for myself but I do feel a bit like I'm wasting product 😅
I know this is an old video but I was wondering how you would compare the glossier concealer as an all over product to the sneaky balm, since you said you thought they'd be similar?
Hi Serena! Thank you so much for the thorough review!! Do you think the vaseline-like film left by Sneaky Balm is similar to the finish of Stretch Concealer (in terms of not setting/weight) or is Sneaky Balm heavier?
Theyre very similar though i feel the sny is a hint balmier feeling but visually the finish is about the same

I really wanted to like sneaky balm, the business model is great but it doesn't look that great on my dry skin. The blush is nice, doesn't last all day but it's cute for a while. Unfortunately they definitely don't double as a lip product for me- they leave my lips feeling drier and uncomfortable. The contour also moves around too much for me
Oof sorry your experience with Salt hasn’t been the best! So far I’ve only gotten the blushes so I can’t speak for the sneaky balm application, but they seem to last decently for me. I saw the same drying effect when I swiped the creme tints on my lips, but try applying them to well-hydrated lips or over a light layer of lip balm and they should be fine! I’ve also dabbed a dot of lip balm or gloss over them once they’ve faded to a slight tint and I think it’s cute. I find them fun to apply and reapply, but I’m mostly at home and don’t mind getting my hands dirty; others certainly might not feel the same.
Vaseline sounds unpleasant @_@ my paranoia will tell me the product is clogging my pores LOL. I reach for my highlighter less too, I've been trying a lot of different cushion foundations and I find their "matte" formulas perfect for glowy skin without the sticky feeling and no need for powder. I want to start tret again, but I didn't see results after 6 months ish? I've been told to keep using it, but I have the worst inflammation and flaking. Thanks for reviewing the SNY products! I was wondering how natural it would feel, but I think I'll pass for now
It took me close to a year of use and increasing my tret strength until I saw results. Which was a continuous struggle of feeling like all the flaking and sensitivity wasn’t getting anywhere. If my acne hadn’t been as painful as it was at the time, I would have given up on tret/deemed it nit worth the effort.
I can see a small subset of people really enjoying the sneaky balm
I kind of hate the palette. I would end up getting product all over the zipper and it would stop looking nice very quickly. I feel like this brand is for people who like to play with textures.
