I know that you’re the ambassador of moderation, thoughtful spending, self awareness etc but I actually really appreciate this style video. You’re also the queen of swatches so the HLP overhead video is exactly what I’m looking for when I’d like to purchase an item from a brand I’m not 100% informed on. I’ve been interested in Salt New York for a while so I’m especially excited for this. The swatches and info are intriguing but don’t retract from your overall viewpoint in the makeup community.
I get so much use out of lilac because so few cream blushes are cool toned and adding a little of this makes so many perfect for me and I'm going to be really bummed when I pan it. She has the blue adjuster I should mention, but its not the same result, lilac is just easier to add.
oh goddamn, the blackberry!!!! i *love* when makeup is just like fruit- looks all dark and plain on the outside and then BOOM! vibrant color on the inside.
Sneaky balm is the first base I've seen that invisibly makes skin look near-flawless, and I am seriously considering it! Love when you swatch stuff out.

UGH! OMG! This was SO SATISFYING to watch! Just watching you dip your finger in what appeared to be black & not knowing what shade was going to turn up. Or even listening to the individual shades get moved around on the table in fast motion was satisfying! I loved all the deep brown-reds & terracotta-reds. Delicious!
Same! At first I was like why does she have 3 shades of black out? Boy was I wrong. Now that worries me if I have it in my kit what if I put on black & I meant to put on wine? 😭😂

Watching this made me realize something that hadn’t occurred to me before- I could wear those darker highlight shades as blushes! Esp Rust. That looks beautiful. I’m a big fan of the shimmery cream Blushlights from Melt. And I bet these would give me a similar effect!

I have 15 assorted tints & 3 empty, maybe not so empty palettes: adjusters, radiants, sneaky balms, lip/cheeks, sculpt/bronze~~ the whole shebang ~~ wouldn't trade/declutter a single one of them. You inspired me to get into Salt New York and I have been LOVING the sneaky balm, contour, bronze, and highlight. I got the small palette, and I think I’m gonna expand to the large and get my sister four items for the small! So great. The quality is stunning. And it really is as sneaky as they say! I know that my super oily skin means I have to appreciate these cream products from afar, but I immediately had to click this video because I knew it would be so satisfying to watch you swatch all of these shades. Thanks for the bit of calm!
My skin isn't oily but I can't imagine having something settle into lines and no way to carry a lip product by itself for reapplication. There would need to be a single pan compact with mirror and lip brush because creamy lip products have to be reapplied all day. So this is perfect for young skin that is somehow not oily or combo.
@@MilwaukeeWoman Yes! How does one wear these as lipstick all day? I imagine these are for people with normal/dry skin, or those who have the ability to babysit a fussy formula. They're gorgeous products, but I just know there's no amount of powder that would lock them in all day under masks for me.
I’m pretty oily, plus I use lots of serums/moisturizer in the morning and I LOVE these creams. I bring the little 4 pan palette with me along with a tiny beauty blender to just blend any creasing, touch up, etc but it mostly looks great all day. I DO powder over my oiliest parts to set it, though. I really recommend Salt NY!
I came home from a really good, but busy & overstimulating day on Saturday, as I was getting ready for bed I was scrolling youtube trying to find something I could just zone out to that would help me get to sleep, this video was the perfect answer to what I needed. There was something immensely satisfying about watching the product become slicker as you touched it. Your finger moved slowly through it at first, then you could really see how it warmed up. Just what I didn't know I needed. I've been leaning into the watching or window shopping as a means to soothe while resisting the actual purchase.

3 months later and I'm finally ready to buy Salt New York and I dashed so fast this video as I was putting off watching until I was ready! Bonus they have released N13 since, validating my plan to wait haha. Rewatched the blush making video too and realized the combo of cocoa, yellow, blue and white will probably give me everything I'm missing! Seeing the blushes swatched also made me realize how simular the ones I like are to my winky lux, elf active and lisa Eldridge so now I just want to play with what I have and see if the adjusters work with other brands before I buy anything more.

Thank you for this video! I found myself continue to come back to this video when I shop on salt new york’s website. I got my 1st order a couple weeks back and was pleasantly surprised by how easy it is to use and how sneaky the sneak balms are! I just placed another order for some highlighter and to participate in their buy 3 get 3 sale. After this order I think I’m very satisfied with my collection of salt new york and will be loving them by using them over and over!!!

I’m soooo jealous!! Lol. I love my Salt NY products, use them literally every time I do my makeup from “no makeup/makeup days to my “cream base” for more full makeup days. I tell literally everyone about them - I’ll be in Sephora at the checkout and I’m like “omg, you guys need to check out Salt New York!” Lol. It took a but decide on shades and it wasn’t until I saw you using the shade adjusters that I went “omg, now I get those!” I definitely have them on my wish list for my next purchase from there, so thank you!
I don't have any of the face products, but as someone who travels a lot, I freaking LOVE my Salt New York palette! I build a little custom palette of eyeshadows, blush, bronzer, highlight for every trip and it's the best. Such a space saver, and everything feels really secure. 👌🏻💜✨

I always watch your videos in the morning when I'm eating breakfast, it's always a calming way to start my day. That being said, when I was watching this swatch video and you began swatching the highlighters, I literally gasped aloud and had to pause the video and finish my coffee so I could pay closer attention. The foundation I've been using is almost running out, and Sneaky Balm is like half the price of the foundation I was previously considering replacing it with, so this video is a really good resource as far as color match goes! I feel a bit less like I am feeling around in the dark for my shade.

Love this swatching but personally I would enjoy you saying the names as you were so swatching them because it’s hard to see the names as they are flying by so quickly… Would also love an explanation of tone and color… I am on the fence and seeing the swatches is definitely helpful but A huge enhancement would be hearing your voice saying the name, the tone, and any other great HLP info you give… Perhaps you can do an edit when you arrive in your new location?
This is random, but thank you for showing the packaging with expiration date on the product. With balmy/cream/liquid textures the expiration date is actually a big factor when I buy makeup! For example, if it's going to expire in 6 months I won't buy it because I have acne-prone skin and I know I can barely use up a single product in a year, let alone 6 months! (These have a 12-month exp date, for anyone wondering!)
This was super helpful! I been searching my whole makeup-life for a LIGHT coverage tint or foundation. I just want to look fresh but like it’s barley any product there. I’m interested in trying the sneaky balm out, and this helped me find my shade when I’ll go trough with making a purchase
So I loved this, because I have been interested in this brand for a long time. I have questions though; how will you keep and store them? In custom palettes, with extras in a huge magnetic palette? I would love to see you play with the different colors and how you might use the different shades.

Old Gum!! As I was watching this video, especially with sculpt & bronze shades, all I kept thinking was that you could use those to make blush the color of old gum. There were a couple that are already almost there, they just need a bit more pink. Would Contour and Rose work? I would LOVE to watch a video of you playing around and mixing these until you get the color of old gum. Because of you, I am now fascinated by the idea of a cheek color in old gum. Thought for the future - a collab with SALT New York to make this blush color? Oooooooooooooh!! For me, Tata Harper's Lovely and Nudestix Bareback are pretty close, but we have vastly different undertones - I'm so cool toned that I practically have a slight blue cast.
Oh I wish they would open up international shipping again! I love the blushes I have, but they are probably past their best and I really want to try the sneaky balm.

The sneaky balm seemed perfect for me, so even though I'm in a no buy I checked the website to see if the overall cost is worth taking into consideration, and unfortunately they don't ship to Europe. Here's hoping that by October (end of my no buy year) things change, but I'm going to have a 3 month old baby then, so maybe I won't be as invested
I just got mine in the mail today it was so exciting. I wore it all day and it really made it look like I have great skin, and it lasted through a workout. Need practice with the bronzer but I'm excited to keep playing with it! For context I'm a person who buys IT Cc cream once a year for foundation and I think this gave a more natural finish.

Can't remember if you did this or not, but I'd be interested in a round up of lip/cheek formulae. I know you have at least one Ritual de Fille lip and cheek color, and some of the Kira Weiss products are as well...All of the salt lip and cheek balms look gorgeous. I hope Tangerine and Lilac get restocked because those are the most unique I think...I'm really impressed that an indie brand has done such a good job of working for a variety of skin tones. If they can manage this, it's about damn time brands like Hourglass got their act together...

Agreed; terracotta is in my top 3...
I have 2 backups of Terracotta, it & Spice are 2 of my faves, that being said, I have all of the lip & cheeks. I also use rust as a glowey topper.

I find its so difficult to get swatch photos and comparisons of the Salt NY shades so this may possibly be the most helpful Salt NY related video to ever exist 😆 alas I now have found more shades I am attracted to... 💖 have been dying to build a palette with their bundle maker for ages and could never decide!
I know that my super oily skin means I have to appreciate these cream products from afar, but I immediately had to click this video because I knew it would be so satisfying to watch you swatch all of these shades. Thanks for the bit of calm!
My skin isn't oily but I can't imagine having something settle into lines and no way to carry a lip product by itself for reapplication. There would need to be a single pan compact with mirror and lip brush because creamy lip products have to be reapplied all day. So this is perfect for young skin that is somehow not oily or combo.

I imagine these are for people with normal/dry skin, or those who have the ability to babysit a fussy formula. They're gorgeous products, but I just know there's no amount of powder that would lock them in all day under masks for me.
I’m pretty oily, plus I use lots of serums/moisturizer in the morning and I LOVE these creams. I bring the little 4 pan palette with me along with a tiny beauty blender to just blend any creasing, touch up, etc but it mostly looks great all day. I DO powder over my oiliest parts to set it, though. I really recommend Salt NY!

I had to tell you this because it has stuck with me. I subscribed from the "trends I am loving" video. The way that you spoke about Euphoria makeup and the shift in makeup from covering up to being playful really resonated with me. Your review on Sneaky Balm is what lead me to buy from her, and I just got my order in today. I am also a pale olive skin tone and I have to use the white adjuster to but it is the best match I have EVER had in a foundation. Im blown away.
There was something immensely satisfying about watching the product become slicker as you touched it. Your finger moved slowly through it at first, then you could really see how it warmed up. Just what I didn't know I needed. I've been leaning into the watching or window shopping as a means to soothe while resisting the actual purchase.

3 months later and I'm finally ready to buy Salt New York and I dashed so fast this video as I was putting off watching until I was ready! Bonus they have released N13 since, validating my plan to wait haha.
Rewatched the blush making video too and realized the combo of cocoa, yellow, blue and white will probably give me everything I'm missing!
Seeing the blushes swatched also made me realize how simular the ones I like are to my winky lux, elf active and lisa Eldridge so now I just want to play with what I have and see if the adjusters work with other brands before I buy anything more.

Thank you for this video! I found myself continue to come back to this video when I shop on salt new york’s website. I got my 1st order a couple weeks back and was pleasantly surprised by how easy it is to use and how sneaky the sneak balms are! I just placed another order for some highlighter and to participate in their buy 3 get 3 sale. After this order I think I’m very satisfied with my collection of salt new york and will be loving them by using them over and over!!!

I’m soooo jealous!! Lol. I love my Salt NY products, use them literally every time I do my makeup from “no makeup/makeup days to my “cream base” for more full makeup days. I tell literally everyone about them - I’ll be in Sephora at the checkout and I’m like “omg, you guys need to check out Salt New York!” Lol. It took a but decide on shades and it wasn’t until I saw you using the shade adjusters that I went “omg, now I get those!” I definitely have them on my wish list for my next purchase from there, so thank you!
I don't have any of the face products, but as someone who travels a lot, I freaking LOVE my Salt New York palette! I build a little custom palette of eyeshadows, blush, bronzer, highlight for every trip and it's the best. Such a space saver, and everything feels really secure. 👌🏻💜✨

I always watch your videos in the morning when I'm eating breakfast, it's always a calming way to start my day. That being said, when I was watching this swatch video and you began swatching the highlighters, I literally gasped aloud and had to pause the video and finish my coffee so I could pay closer attention. The foundation I've been using is almost running out, and Sneaky Balm is like half the price of the foundation I was previously considering replacing it with, so this video is a really good resource as far as color match goes! I feel a bit less like I am feeling around in the dark for my shade.

Love this swatching but personally I would enjoy you saying the names as you were so swatching them because it’s hard to see the names as they are flying by so quickly… Would also love an explanation of tone and color… I am on the fence and seeing the swatches is definitely helpful but A huge enhancement would be hearing your voice saying the name, the tone, and any other great HLP info you give… Perhaps you can do an edit when you arrive in your new location?
This is random, but thank you for showing the packaging with expiration date on the product. With balmy/cream/liquid textures the expiration date is actually a big factor when I buy makeup!
For example, if it's going to expire in 6 months I won't buy it because I have acne-prone skin and I know I can barely use up a single product in a year, let alone 6 months! (These have a 12-month exp date, for anyone wondering!)

This was super helpful! I been searching my whole makeup-life for a LIGHT coverage tint or foundation. I just want to look fresh but like it’s barley any product there. I’m interested in trying the sneaky balm out, and this helped me find my shade when I’ll go trough with making a purchase

So I loved this, because I have been interested in this brand for a long time. I have questions though; how will you keep and store them? In custom palettes, with extras in a huge magnetic palette? I would love to see you play with the different colors and how you might use the different shades.

Old Gum!! As I was watching this video, especially with sculpt & bronze shades, all I kept thinking was that you could use those to make blush the color of old gum. There were a couple that are already almost there, they just need a bit more pink. Would Contour and Rose work? I would LOVE to watch a video of you playing around and mixing these until you get the color of old gum. Because of you, I am now fascinated by the idea of a cheek color in old gum. Thought for the future - a collab with SALT New York to make this blush color? Oooooooooooooh!!
For me, Tata Harper's Lovely and Nudestix Bareback are pretty close, but we have vastly different undertones - I'm so cool toned that I practically have a slight blue cast.
Oh I wish they would open up international shipping again! I love the blushes I have, but they are probably past their best and I really want to try the sneaky balm.

The sneaky balm seemed perfect for me, so even though I'm in a no buy I checked the website to see if the overall cost is worth taking into consideration, and unfortunately they don't ship to Europe. Here's hoping that by October (end of my no buy year) things change, but I'm going to have a 3 month old baby then, so maybe I won't be as invested
I just got mine in the mail today it was so exciting. I wore it all day and it really made it look like I have great skin, and it lasted through a workout. Need practice with the bronzer but I'm excited to keep playing with it! For context I'm a person who buys IT Cc cream once a year for foundation and I think this gave a more natural finish.

I haven’t stopped thinking about Sneaky Balm since I watched your initial video, and by reading these comments I see that a lot of other people are feeling the same! All of the brown toned blushes are just gorgeous and it would make me so happy for a foundation to actually match my light olive skin! Currently trying to justify buying more than just the foundation shade to get the buy 3 get 2 free deal 🙈

Can't remember if you did this or not, but I'd be interested in a round up of lip/cheek formulae. I know you have at least one Ritual de Fille lip and cheek color, and some of the Kira Weiss products are as well...All of the salt lip and cheek balms look gorgeous. I hope Tangerine and Lilac get restocked because those are the most unique I think...I'm really impressed that an indie brand has done such a good job of working for a variety of skin tones. If they can manage this, it's about damn time brands like Hourglass got their act together...
