Yes I heard this song on a public radio station around 1995. DJ did not mention the artist. I kept in my head for two years until I heard it again. Found out who sang it and immediately went out to buy all his stuff.
@@joellahrman4557 Similar story for me .... 1998 ... Driving the back roads after a conference in ... BIG SKY, Montana ... heard this tune on the radio ... didn't figure out who it was until a few years later when I searched Napster for what I presumed was the title ... BINGO! Hooked ever since!
Chris described Big Sky Country as "a big FAKE Prince song." Source: app.box.com/s/8mt93fb9dpcywbb2rymtudye8abjf41f He also covered Prince's "Erotic City" and "Forever in My Life."
I just wanted to drop a line and thank you for this channel. I discovered Chris in 1991 when Law came out and this song was the first one I heard. He changed everything I felt about music and art from that moment on. I cherish every note he played or sang. Again, thank you so very much for what you are doing to keep his legacy intact.
Wow. Blast from the past. Loved this song when it came out in the 80s.
The first couple of notes I heard of Chris in 1992 I was completely hooked. Thanks for reminding me.
Me too! I had to pull over my car and stop and listen because I was so mesmerized by his voice.
