Thank you for sharing, Saffron. I'm so sorry you went through these experiences. It's frightening that so many women experience sexual assault, and are often gaslit or not believed when they have the courage to tell their story :(
Thank you for speaking up so bravely of your experience saff and being so clear about how such behaviour is not ok!! To all other women watching, don’t feel shameful or ashamed that something like this happens to you, none of it is your fault. Get help even if you decide not to pursue the case.
Is the train over at london not like singapore? Like they don't announce smtg 'chinese garden' or like they don't have any map of the station like singapore? Honestly that's my main concern if I were to travel. Not in Malaysia lah but above malaysia onwards. Anyways have a bless and stay cute Saffron 🙌🏼.
We need more youtubers like saffron who is willing to share and create awareness about sensitive yet traumatic experiences along with the help available in singapore! It’s not easy to share about such issues and this is really brave saffron 👍🏻
omg London is filled with weird people ugh as a girl ,I feel SUPER unsafe walking alone in London and the last time I was there in 2019 June ,I got mugged $3K SGD while I was travelling with 2 other girl friends and YES girls are super vulnerable in London :(
Super brave of you for sharing, and for offering perspectives and advice for many who are silently enduring such instances when it's not right. Hope you become stronger out of these instances and never have to experience them again! I now know how to help and to console close friends who've experienced such sad and frightening instances as well, instead of only only being a listening ear...
i’ve experienced similar things on the public transport. never found the courage or knew that I SHOULD have called out for help. screw these perpetrators. parents and schools REALLY REALLY need to up their game.
im not discriminatory towards "ah peks", but I worked early hours, crowded MRT. if u know..u know so everyone Office wear, smart casual. they also board. stand extremely close, finger into vigina. Told MRT, said "never picked up on CCTV". so. never picked up means "no"? happened 4, 5 6 times. so the choices are - do u work, or quit? finish work after 8pm, not possible wake earlier, or change to take bus. with Covid, there is distancing. but now bans lifted, sexual abuse back. do I rent near office? cannot right? sometimes work location change but timing always early morning. not discriminatory but the Office wear male never grope, just the old men, unkempt, board during crowded time to molest women. I can punch very well, but if I do? I get blamed? best is, the men dont stand so close. So crowded until the citizens get molested and the abuser get away with it, broad daylight. Ask yourself do u think they will do more? no use put posters all over say "report molestation, jailterm up to (amount) of years". they should just not stand so close to female commuters. now the ah peks die down...less. a new group start (I cannot say. will go to jail because bring up migratory/color issue but fact.) so? everyone buy car? sure, I can drive but affordable or not? think. does it mean MRT = molest what kind of world is this MRT = molest, how can it be "first world"???
I think because SG is such an amazing safe place, the ppl here don't understand that the rest of the world out there, is NOTHING like SG, people in the rest of the world are not the same as in SG. Unfortunately SG is unique and probably the safest place in the world for women and children, where I feel safe and don't worry about my girlfriend going out or to work and back without checking up, are you there safe, on your way back? Singaporeans do not realize this because this country is a bubble of safety, which is great.. In ANY other part of the world, any heckling or touching would be sorted out with a fist or slap to the face. Singaporeans are also very timid in comparison to ANY other country in the world, ok second behind maybe Japanese people. You can speak out, you can ask for help, you can shout in a crowd of ppl and say get away from me, I need help, and you can scream and shout at the person doing anything wrong to you. Speak up and shame them there and then.
Thank you so much for sharing. Lesson learnt: be aware, do homework on the area I'm going to next time, prepare to be mugged in London, and also wear specs and have knucklers in case any dofus tries to be funny.
next time act like the londoners or new yorkers, raise ur voice to the london guy with a stern voice "get away from me and stop following me". thats what the caucasians locals do there.
totally understandable about asking the you to sit next to him. even if his intentions were no bad bt from every recount its only proven that its going to end bad
Thank you for sharing your experiences! This is definitely not something easy to talk about. I noticed you are using the words “sexual assault” and “sexual harassment” interchangeably throughout the video. Just wanted to make a point that they are similar but not the same thing.
i donno hw i ended up getting recommendation vids...but i can say sg is really safe. eu or uk is not even close to that. as someone who served b4 i can tell u alot of citizens yayapapaya n disrespecting against spf
None of your stories would i class as sexual assault and you shouldnt use the title as clickbait. The stories you described i would class as creepy pervs and nuisances but someone that commits sexual assualt are classed as rapists. For instance the train story if you had repeated that to a police officer he would not do anything as the bloke was just being a pushy drunk not commiting ant crimes,it seems nowadays evrybody is being over dramatic and if they havent experienced something they make a big deal out of nothing.

I dont think the topic is controversial. I think it is an important issue to discuss and may be challenging to discuss.
Thank you for sharing this and being so vulnerable
