That sanitary stuff is over the top exaggeration. I'm making wine for years, and never have I ever used rubbing alcohol or did any kind of boiling. As some random song about Ass n Titties said: You need soap and water.
And trust me, if I was afraid about 2000 liters of wine going bad, I would definitely do it the way they say
@@simasimson5798 well they bought that siphon thing so you don't have to suck the tube, but they did it anyways :) ... it will problably turn out ok. I have been making mead for the last 5 years, and I live in the center of a large city in a really small apartment. Hey Sima some people sterelize the grapes before adding the yeast with some sulfite+sorbate salt so the wild yeast won't contaminate. Have you ever done that?
@@simasimson5798 wine is different than mead. With mead you can make vinegar if your not careful

And I probably just made normal beer, but not from wheat, only from bread.
@@szariq7338 that is mean, that something went wrong, true kvas has only 1% of alcohol and you must not feel it.

1. Too little water (I had only jar, that fits 1 litre)
2. Too much sugar added (I gave probably 130 grams, but I didn't weigh it)
3. Little too much yeast (I think more yeast means faster fermentation)
4. Held it for too long (3 days instead of 2)

I love making mead, i always make peach mead on account of the peach trees i have (just add peaches to mash after honey and be sure to rack thoroughly) and after i flavor it with fresh peach juice and honey is magnificent and decently high proof
