- ET has confirmed Bob Barker has died. The beloved 'Price is Right' host was 99. Barker died at home on Saturday from natural causes. ET looks back at the TV icon's decades-spanning career, including his memorable role in 'Happy Gilmore' and his passionate advocacy for animal rights.

As I age, I have come to realize, that at an ever increasing rate, I am now having to say goodbye to the stars that I grew up with and who shaped my childhood memories. It’s a part of life that seems hard to accept.

Since finding out about Bob's passing, I watched the movie Happy Gilmore in his honor. RIP Bob Barker, your body may be gone, but the memories of you will always be with us and cherished in our hearts. You were a one of a kind. Great guy with a beautiful heart.
Some of my earliest and best memories in life are of watching Bob on TPIR with my mom. I’ll hold those memories in my heart forever. Bob will never be forgotten.

This event represents a end of an era. Bob Barker was and will always be the first charismatic television MC that made television what it is today. He will be sorely missed. RIP.
He made an impression on me as a child with his show closing, "Help control the pet population. Have your pets spayed or neutered". I wish more celebrities would use their fame for good such as helping defenseless animals. I hope everyone will honor him by having their pet/s spayed and or neutered or donating to a shelter today! I was literally looking up Bob Barker last week. My mind fell on him because I hadn't seen any appearances or heard anything about him in quite some time. Death is a natural part of living, but it still hurts when charismatic, loving, iconic personalities like Bob weave themselves into the fabric of your life--whether it's through a popular game show, favorite movie, etc
As a kid of the 80s & 90s teen, I spent so many sick days home or summer vacations watching TV & Bob Barker's Price Is Right was a morning ritual. Of the LEGENDARY TV game show hosts, only Pat Sajak remains. Thanks for your era, Bob. Godspeed! 💐🕊

My husband walked to the store in the rain earlier. He was twirling his umbrella and making the doot doot sounds like the big wheel. He broke down because he realized what he was doing and remembered that one of his idols was gone. Bob cared so much about pets and animals. The world has lost a great entertainer. And also a great human.
My mom watched the price is right since the 70’s, she got me hooked in the 80’s! It was sad to see him retire, but now we have to say goodbye to a true Legend Bob Barker! RIP!
Bob was my hero while growing up in the ghetto. The Price is Right was my source of joy during those tough times. However, life has been better for me since then. Bob's spirit of generosity and being a true role model has left a lasting impact on me. You will be missed, Bob. Rest in peace. 🙏

He is without a doubt the GOAT game show host. His voice and personality made Price Is Right the iconic and huge success it is. Bob was the embodiment of the perfect game show host. An era has ended with his passing.

What I respect the most. Is the respect and giving due credit. To his partnership with his dearly departed wife. Also, his keen sense of humor. Always evident wherever he went. Should never be forgotten. As one of the best hosts. In radio/daytime television history. His voice was one of a kind.

I loved the fact that Bob was a very well known for being an animal activist. In my younger years I occasionally watched The Price is Right and some other game shows. Bob will RIP for sure and I'm sure will be very missed by his fans.
He made numerous memorable appearances on a couple other CBS game shows of the 1970's. Match Game and Tattletales.

Bob Barker always has been and always will be the best there is in the game show industry. Now he is in heaven with his announcer comrades Johnny Olson & Rod Roddy, with many fellow game show host legends Alex Trebek, Ray Combs, Dick Clark, Peter Tomarken, Jim Perry, Chuck Barris, Art Fleming, Gene Rayburn, Richard Dawson,, with his wife Dorothy and many other loved ones, with many passed fans. He reminded me a lot of my grandfather, and now he's up there with him too.

Bob Barker was a huge part of my childhood in the 80's and 90's when staying over at my grandmother's when there was no school. I loved watching the Price is Right and always enjoyed Bob's enthusiasm, and of course I cant ever forget his classic sign off of "Help control the pet population. Please get your pets spayed or neutered".

i am 50 years old and been watching bob since im a baby I could see his character and integrity as well as compassion for people and animals was second to none Ive been his biggest fan for decades , this really hurts
my earliest recollection was at the age of five in 1983. The price is right was on our television set every morning at 11 AM. I grew up watching the price is right I stopped watching it when Bob retired. It was a whole two years before I started watching it again with Drew Carey, and it just wasn’t the same. I’m deeply saddened today. Bob may you rest in eternal peace. Heaven is rejoicing today. Everyone up there is spinning the big wheel. And how ironic is this Bob you always said the closest one to a dollar without going over. And you made it to 99 years old without going over.

The Legend of Bob Baker will never, ever be duplicated. I grew up on the Price is Right for many years. Love every minute of the game show. And to this day, seeing it on my Samsung Plus free TV, they have a channel dedicated to the Price is Right and now I get to show my kids and family my nostalgic craziness of the Price is Right. May you rest in Peace Bob Baker. Thank you for the wonderful memories you gave us for 35 years. I hope and pray that God is having the time of his life with you as his heavenly Price is Right host. I'm 46, and grew up watching him. A great memory of my childhood, Bob was the best! God bless him, I appreciate his work for the humane treatment of animals, and his work on stopping exploitation of all animals! I feel the exact same way, I always have, no animals in circuses, zoos, Sea World, movies, etc. They are exploited, treated badly, abused, for people's entertainment, and these places make tons of money for it, at the animal's expense, those animals have a horrible, sad life! They all need to be in their natural habitat, in the wild, or animal sanctuaries. And I have raised my daughter teaching her the same! RIP Bob, you are loved, and will be missed! 🙏✝️

I was born the year after T or C started and I can remember watching the show, in black and white with my family each time it was on. We used to call it 'The Bob Barker Show' . " It's time for Bob Barker ", we would say . It was just easier to say than 'Truth or Consequences' ,especially for a toddler like me . Those were simpler times and happy times for the five of us in my family . Everybody but myself has since passed ,but I digress. Oh I ,like most of the U.S. population , really liked 'The Price Is Right ' . Especially the original with Bob Barker as host . There is something special to me about The Bob Barker Show , though . And there was something special about that "golden toned voice " that Bob possessed . It was .. comforting for some reason . Maybe because I was with my family , all together in front of our black and white TV . Those were the days as far as I'm concerned . RIP Bob . You will be remembered . Godspeed.
