I love the fact you demoed a tool I have never seen put in use. Would love to see more tutorials like this to see how other tools are used.
The fact that it's actually called a squircle and you didn't just make it up brings me joy this morning
Perfect tutorial
I haven't seen anywhere a deeper knowledge of illustrator tools as much as on this channel, thanks a lot for sharing that knowledge with us!
You're very welcome! It’s so great to hear that the videos are helpful 😊
Short , helpfull , and not a rounded corner square . You can also make a squircle with effect > dilate on a rounded corner square
Aw I love the widdle squircle.
I’ll call it a Cquare 🎉 thank you for this tip!
Wow, I saw some scripts but didn’t realize how to do it manually.
Thanks!!!
You're welcome!
Thanks, quick video and very useful
You've made creating a squircle in Adobe Illustrator look so easy! How did you discover this technique, and can you share any other creative design tricks or tips you have up your sleeve?
I'm a beginner in Illustrator, but I was able to follow your tutorial easily. Thanks for making it so clear and concise!
Super helpful, and your explanation was clear. Keep up the great work!
Very informative for beginners, Kudos!
Thanks, Dansky, for the quick tutorial on creating a squircle in Adobe Illustrator! It was super helpful and easy to follow. Looking forward to your next tutorial
Thanks for the helpful tutorial since drawing a squircle in Illustrator is much easier with this tool.
Wow, amazing video. Quick, to the point, under two minutes. Perfect, bravo! 👏🏻
Thanks so much Kevin! 😊
Use Astute Graphics Plugin - There is just a simple option to draw Squircle just like we draw a normal circle
Nice tip. I had been using Inflate on a rectangle, but this Arc tool looks better.
Been wondering for years how this works or even how it's called. Great find!
That's great, man! I didn't know about this tool! 👌
Glad I could help!
amazing as always
Thank you! Cheers!
I created it like this: draw rounded rectangle> object> envelope distort > inflate/bulge. Very long process. I will use your method now. Its more simple.
Nice work
your video always helpful for me thank you
Amazing 😊
Love this, sending it to a friend who I just had a convo about today! :D
Thanks for sharing! 😁
thanks for sharing this simple thing clearly
Hey you're welcome! Glad it was helpful 🙂
great
this is the best squarcle video. If you say squarcle many times it sounds funny
I'll try to do this by rounding corners on square and add additional anchor points, but your method is much easier and faster.
Thanks! Great tip, and super simple. I've not used the ARC tool before, so will play around with it.
I've tried to do a squircle using the 'bloat' tool ( Effect > Distort & Transform > Pucker and Bloat) but it gives strange little effects on the corner points that I have to fix manually..
Could also just create a rectangle and round the corners? Or would that not technically be considered a squircle? lol
Technically not no, as it wouldn't have the bulging sides lol
Ahhh!@@ForeverDansky
Which PC are you using?
I can't find the arc tool and it doesn't come up when searching the help menu. Can you help?
oh god I've opened the damn 3d perspective tool by mistake. now I'm screwed
@@seannemetz4856 Press Esc to cancel the Perspective Grid Tool. The Arc Tool is under the Line Segment Tool if you click and hold on it 👍
