Something I do which I find extremely helpful is to bring multi-use products such as Aloe Vera gel. I use it as a makeup primer, moisturizer, shave gel, after-shave, acne/small wound treatment, anti-frizz cream, overnight hair/face mask, the list goes on and on. That way I don't need to bring any of those products, and I bring one product instead of four or five.
I'm going to France for six days on wednesday so you're timing couldn't be more perfect ! I'm definitely going to try rolling up my clothes like that !

Awesome tips! I will definitely be using these tips for my next trip. Here are a few of mine: 1. I always wash my hair the day I leave that way I only have to wash it once while I'm away for (5-7 day trips) and I don't have to wash it at all for weekend trips! 2. I stick to a color scheme (black, white, silver, and a pop of color like hot pink, blue, purple or green). It helps me streamline my accessories and makeup. I would love more videos like this!
There are a few videos on packing for 2 months using just a carry-on, and it is what I'm planning to do this summer. Hearing someone say they can't do more than 5 days with a carry-on is so strange to me. I suppose everyone has a different dressing style and also different sense of things they "need".

This was a really helpful video! My only concern is when you fold and roll your clothes they'll get pretty wrinkled, so you would need to take a travel size iron with you. You didn't pack one, so I was wondering how you deal with wrinkled clothes?
Lauren Barre Well you still fold the clothing in half and then roll them, but I believe rolling wrinkles the clothing a lot less than traditional folding. I would still pack a travelsize iron with me, especially if you're staying in hostels which do not tend to have 'luxury' items like an iron.

I always roll up my clothes as well and only wear minimal accessories like maybe pearls or studs that go with everything and a pair of floral flats that go with every outfit in my closet. It's not as hard as people think. Besides, when you're traveling you're enjoying your trip so much that you don't think about clothes. Why does everybody roles their clothes? I tried it once and it looked like somebody chewed it, but everybody sais that it saves space and its just better but its not!
Ahh ok thought that was a funny way to say it....if you only need certain clothes to be wrinkle free pack a straightener...but careful not to burn anything
You dont have to roll it, you can use marie kondo's folding method. I do that and it works wonders without wrinkling my clothes. I would say its far better than rolling. :)
You neglected to mention using the FREE space by not tucking things into your shoes! Like ....oh maybe, jewelry, a bra or undies, just nothing that could possibly spill into the shoes. But otherwise, good tips. Thanks.

I commend you on being able to pack so incredibly light! I am in shock that this is all you are bringing! Last time I went to France I bought five of the largest suitcases permitted on commercial airlines and also two mid size bags. One mid size bag is just for shoes and purses and and the other is just for cosmetics. The full size bags were filled with dresses, suits and such. I'm a pretty light traveller, my "secret" is that I always carefully consider what we'll be doing on the trip and bring appropriate outfits (ie you'll dress differently for museums and churches than a resort holiday or cruise).

This is something I have been learning and improving on because I sometimes love to change my day to day outfits because the weather might change or you got wet somewhere doing something so that extra change of clothes is always good and especially when there is a washing machine at the place your staying at really helps aswell so you can wash and re wear. Makeup wise is great to use a palette that has everything e.g blush bronzed eyeshadow a which really makes a difference. Great work again Hun love watching you xxx

I have packed for 10 days using my carry on. :) I never ever checked a bag. :) I do sort of the same as you do. :) I never did take pictures so that is something that will come in handy next time, what I usually do is use larger zip lock bags and put my outfits inside them for each day and roll out the air :) Take Care Mimi, you look wonderful as usual. Please please please do another video like this! I absolutely love this one because I usually do weekend trips and I always take with me too much clothes and beauty products. This don't allow me to shop new items 😅 The problem is that I'm worry not to have the right outfit for the right occasion! Love your hair! Lately I've only been traveling from Colorado to Chicago & I stay with a close friend for a good month! She & I are retired so we have plenty of time to spend with each other. I know I over pack, but I definitely need check in luggage for 4 to 5 weeks. Rolling clothes for some reason hasn't been that good for me. Instead I keep the clothes as flat as I can in the suitcase. I'm also 6 feet tall, so my jeans have a long inseam. Still appreciate the tips.

DRESSESSSS they save so much space- as long as you have some tights, a coat/jacket and practical shoes your set basically

I do sort of the same as you do. :) I never did take pictures so that is something that will come in handy next time, what I usually do is use larger zip lock bags and put my outfits inside them for each day and roll out the air :) Take Care Mimi, you look wonderful as usual. Please please please do another video like this! I absolutely love this one because I usually do weekend trips and I always take with me too much clothes and beauty products. This don't allow me to shop new items 😅 The problem is that I'm worry not to have the right outfit for the right occasion! By the way I'm gonna move to London for three months starting from October and I do not know how to pack for a long term travel. Can you make a video for those like me that usually move for work from a place to another?

Love your hair! Lately I've only been traveling from Colorado to Chicago & I stay with a close friend for a good month! She & I are retired so we have plenty of time to spend with each other. I know I over pack, but I definitely need check in luggage for 4 to 5 weeks. Rolling clothes for some reason hasn't been that good for me. Instead I keep the clothes as flat as I can in the suitcase. I'm also 6 feet tall, so my jeans have a long inseam. Still appreciate the tips.
