Coons to Kavanaugh: Put yourself in our shoes

If Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh was on the Senate Judiciary Committee, Sen. Chris Coons, D-Del., asked, "wouldn't you either take a step back" to assess allegations against a nominee, or "move to another candidate?"
Coons said he worried about what the absence of an FBI investigation would do to the credibility of the court.
Kavanaugh repeated he had asked for a hearing right away.
