- Shadowkeep is here. That means exotics are here too. Here's how to get Deathbringer, the exotic rocket launcher that has an interesting spin on the rocket launcher genre. There are some minor story mission/gameplay spoilers in this video, please do the campaign first. I really hope nothing is incorrect because I'll be asleep when this video goes live.

Shetah nah, the reason I choose it was because I could never come up with a nickname for myself, so my friend came up with nameless, which translates to Nanashi. I still don’t like it tho and will probably change it again lmao
For anyone doing this recent: the nightmare hunts (specifically “Fear”), is a great way to farm the orange/red bars of all kinds. if your by yourself or with friends just wipe before boss dies to keep looking nightmares. Hope this helps.

For this quest, the 2nd to last quest step(that requires you to kill certain types of enemies), go ahead and rerun the first mission of the DLC.
In that, you will have a lot of yellow bar enemies, getting that to about 80% done.
Did you go onto a different character to rerun the first mission? Or can you launch it somehow?Sorry if it's a dumb question, I haven't totally completed the campaign yet

An easy way to get orange bar kills is to go to archers line. In the South West Part, there is a little puzzle where you have to shoot different symbols to unlock a chest. If you shoot the same one repeatedly and don’t get it right, an orange bar hive knight appears that is really easy to kill. It takes about 10 sec to spawn a knight once the first knight is dead, you just need to wait for the symbol to reset. It HAS to be the same symbol
In the future datto probably talks about how to get a exotic weapon before it even comes out

@@funny.gon-12 I haven't done a single raid... Strikes are no fun cause the other random players they put you with always just sprint all the way to the end, skipping every enemy. It's such a pain in the ass, especially when you have strike bounties to complete

To complete the “Symphony of Death”, go do the Risk/Reward Quest and farm yellow bar enemies and red.

For the orange bars you could re load the first part of leviathan, war on divalian mists, or wait for a glimmer mining public event

Datto was the first ever destiny UA-camr I watched and seeing his channel grow brings a smile to my face
This is probably the closest we’ll get to Gjallarhorn in D2, prove yourself for her legacy
tbh it does not feel like gjallarhorn. there is no explosion just the little tracking orbs which feels so underwhelming

For the orange bars, public events are pretty good, especially with the public event near the hellmouth. I recommend dawnblade with the ability that keeps it up longer with more kills because you can chain off the thralls and then kill the knights that spawn as there are a lot of them
I think this is the first time I've gotten an exotic quest weapon before you put up a video about how to get it.

1. Get a fuck ton of orange bars in the 1st encounter of Pit
2. Guardian kills give you a decent amount of progress towards bosses

For the middle tier mobs in the second to last step, I had really good results hanging out in Anchor of Light and waiting for an "enemy moving against each other" event.
really happy to see this game blow up again
I think the most fun I have had so far in this dlc was fighting out how to complete this quest with no help

Dreaming city when the enemy moves against eachother for the killing spree
There's an enemy moves against each other in Archer's Line on the moon as well, this is where I finished up my majors after Sorrow's Harbor Ultras. Then I went into the Archer's Line lost sector a few times for the red bars.
If you're not interested in grinding boss kills on the moon, Crucible has been a great alternative for me. One 20 kill stat game netted me 50+% progress. Results may vary, but perhaps just grind mobs in strikes, hunts, etc.; then finish boss requirement in Crucible.

The first mission of the campaign is very good for the majors. Went from 40% complete to done in a single run

For people trying to get it now that it has a catalyst. Alters of sorrow can get you all minor and boss kills while a few public events gets you the majors
For some reason the quest didn’t drop for me after I opened the chest 💕
I found that the recording pain step is the fastest in vex invasion zones. got the whole thing done in like 30 min.
The leviathan is a great place for orange bars, just keep reloading the spawn zone, the watchers also give progress
The Gjallahorn's weird puberty phase
I think the fastest place to grind the base kills is in sorrows harbor where you keep confronting the powerful nightmare and stand outside and keep killing the thrall

Quickest way I found for the "Of Darkeat Harmony" step was the "A Mysterious Distubance" mission for the orange and red bars.. pluss a few yellows then the ogres you mentioned.

Nah, it's a re-skinned dragons breath with seekers instead of napalm
The Big Deac then it’s not reskinned is it
The Big Deac therefor gjallahorn not much impact but with heat seeking rounds but they are void
I think of it as a dumbed down truth. Has tracking rockets you don't have to aim, but instead splits, and acts like mini void bombs.
I haven't played in months and haven't purchased Shadowkeep (and most likely won't) but here I am, still watching Datto do his thing🤷♂️
Hey datto I’m a new player to destiny 2 and haven’t played since destiny 1, I was wondering if you could do a video on what to do to catch up to shadow keep
Use the orb you get when you bought foresaken to boost you
They boost u up to lvl50 750 power right now so just have buy the dlc and you’re caught up. Destiny 2 is free outside of forsaken and shadowkeep.

One good run through Vex Offensive will give you all or very close to all the kills you require for the "Of Darkest Harmony" step.

For the second to last step, load up the first story mission that you can access with a bounty from Eris. i got close to 80% for the top two bars, and pvp easily fills the boss bar way faster than running the scarlet keep over and over. Hope this helps!
The way the rocket is used reminds me of dragons breath, i miss that one very good rocket
Got it first day. Definitely a fun launcher to use and can totally be implemented into pvp loadouts.

i love the fact i didn't know i beat shadowkeep and i spent a few hours on this weapon thinking it was part of the campaign just to be surprised i in fact did beat the campaign. and i didn't need to get this gun, i didn't even know this was a gun quest until i got it.

I got it super quick by doing the heroic version of the first mission of the Shadowkeep campaign

IMO best place to farm red mobs is the initial moon mission on the stage where you need to capture 6 altars. If you go to the right side and capture 3-4/6 enemies will infinitely spawn and rush at you
You can just farm the crucible for the "boss" level kills. Much faster.

For the Symphony of Death Step, doing the Vex Offensive on the moon got it done after completing it twice

vex offensive is pretty good for the mass murder part of the quest since it’s technically on the moon and it has a fair combination of minors, majors, and ultras. should only take one or two runs.
Amazing how all this time I still know my way around the moon.

Yeah i think thats on purpose since the exotic perk makes it remotely detonated and if the void orbs have to travel a larger distance to the enemies they do more damage so i suppose they did this so you can control it more
For those who haven't done this yet....the Vex Offensive counts as "on the Moon" I got a majority of the progress done for my kills by doing 1 run of that.

This thing does work on boss tier enemies, especially if they're out in the open so you can put the thing really high above their heads. Getting the detonation directly above them and not behind or in front of them is really tricky, though.

I have been using it for a couple days now, it's really awesome. Does a ton of damage to bosses IF you shoot it a little higher above it and not directly at it. Because the farther the void balls drop the more damage it does... And it's a big multiplier.

For the second bar, Nightmare Hunt: Despair spawns a lot because of the swords.
Next on Datto: killing all bosses with deathbringer, and yes riven did get her eyes popped 4 million times.

FYI if you can access the first mission of shadowkeep (bounty usually) you can get like 90% of reds done there and thats not focusing super hard 70% for yellows and about 10% for bosses but do sorrow's for bosses

The best place to do the first and second bar is the first moon mission " A Mysterious Disturbance " you can get 100% in one run.

Try it in ep. Get near the level 7 boss and shoot straight up let it go for a bit and release to see how much damage it does. Or any strike without a ceiling

The K1 Revelation lost sector is great for the killing spree part, all types of enemies there and there are heaps on enemies to kill, plus a boss enemy at the end, and the lost sector entrance is a short distance away from the Sorrow's Harbor fast travel point.
