I’m off duty today I’m supposed to celebrate my birthday today but everywhere I went was closed so I’m eating McDonald’s and watching my favorite UA-cam channel I wish everyone a happy holiday whatever holiday you celebrate
As I'm watching the show, I have a habit of looking at the audience members. And, as I'm looking behind the plaintiff's left shoulder, I see the same face on that lady. So, I'm assuming that's the plaintiff's younger sister, or her daughter. 🤔
What he says about yelp is completely true. I know numerous small business owners who have been contacted with the same scheme. I no longer pay attention to yelp reviews because they also pay their top reviewers who usually leave negative feedback. The more you know, rainbow star.
13:11 Very true what he said about Yelp. I worked as a bookkeeper for a business and Yelp called and said they will remove all the negative comments for a fee. I refused. The business owner wanted to do so but I convinced her otherwise. Just respond to the complaints, fix the issues and do better. So I still look at Yelp reviews but I look at all reviews. And if someone have all 5 stars and no negative reviews, I figure they’re paying a fee.
I want to sue the plaintiff for wasting my precious time a day before Jesus holy birthday 😫...anywho Happpy holidays to those to celebrate and happy December anyway to those who don't. Bless us all.
O my gosh, what he said about Yelp is TRUE!!! I am a business owner and praise God I have all good reviews, but the sales team of yelp DOES contact a business owner to sell yelp memberships and one PERK is to monitor reviews and not allowed any negative ones to appear .. true story!!!
Wait, what, ummmm, what kind of verdict was this? Defendant wouldn't give up client list nor the studio's financials until she gave a deposit so how could the plaintiff make a final purchasing decision until she had those documents? The documents showed that the business was a dud, how could the plaintiff lose her deposit if she wasn't given all the facts until she coughed up some money? That's like saying I won't let you get my used car inspected by a mechanic until you give me a deposit. When you do the mechanic says the car is a POS so you're not buying it anymore but I'm still keeping your deposit, sucks to be you. If that kind of case was being shown everyone would be saying what a crock it was that I could keep the deposit.
Exactly what I was thinking, but that's where people need to put in writing that the deposit can be refunded or else this dead fault thing happens and judges hands are tied.
@@joelmontoya7298 But they did. Plaintiff had it written in that the deposit was subject to seeing the financials (can't remember exactly how it was worded) so that would imply that the deposit was refundable. Defendant lied/misrepresented how successful the business was and then wouldn't give the financials until a deposit was given and when he did, it showed it lost money the last 5 years. Plaintiff should have gotten her money back.
The defendant is a creep. She should have had full disclosure before it got to the deposit stage. He held the information knowing it was loosing money.
What? He’s trying to sell his business. Think about it. The client list is the most valuable part of his business (she could take his business name and list to a different location). He needs to know she’s serious in purchasing. It’s also like a home, where the deposit protects the seller for taking the property of the market ( in this case sharing sensitive details ).
You can call him a creep, but she was a fool. You need a deposit before I can see the client list and financials? Nice chatting with you, sir, I'm out. People have a right to ask for what they want. We have a right to politely decline.
Good morning and Merry Christmas to all my friends of the People's Court Jury. Today we can dream of a white Christmas but here in sunny Melbourne, Australia the day will be a hot one with many people donning their bikinis or budgie smugglers and heading off for a day at the beach.
Sounds like a great day to hit the beaches, then, Mick! Here in Cali it's threatening to rain for a day, which pleases me greatly. I love rain and clouds. Happy Christmas to you and yours, friend. Bless you. ❤😊
@@bhornannawindeedeigh5007 Love the sun but here it comes with all the dangers of fires. Bush fire is still burning in the Grampians a few towns have been evacuated. Thoughts go out for those families and for the many volunteer firefighters who will be spending Christmas and the New Year fighting fires. Tomorrow we will have a total fire ban for the entire state and a lot of Australia, it means we can't light a fire in the open air, there are really high fines for people who are stupid enough to disobey.
@mickm6309 Aww, Mick. I'm so sorry to hear the Grampians are still burning. That truly saddens me. Indeed, nothing but respect to the firefighters. They are the Heroes of heroes. God bless them. I know that in the past, we had many troops of our firefighters from the US volunteering to help. I hope that y'all are getting extra help with that. We have some incredible helicopter fire fighting services here. I hope you guys have plenty of those troopers as well. I'm praying for you and your fellow Aussies and a quick halt to the bush fires. God help the volunteers at the animal shelters as well. My heart goes out to you and yours, Mick. Stay safe. ♡
@@bhornannawindeedeigh5007 A lot of Aussie Fire Fighters go there as well, they can really help with fighting fires where there are gum trees as that is what they are always fighting here. I will never forget the plane crew from the US who died here a few years ago.
@mickm6309 Yes, your firefighters have always come to our rescue. We all appreciate that immensely. I do remember the fire crew who tragically died there a few years back. It's all so very sad. I hope every flame gets contained there soon, as I'm sure the bush is nothing but kindling and fuel for the fires. Stay safe, Mick. I'm thinking good thoughts for y'all. I hope Red Cross is also putting all hands on deck there. Big hugs, Mick.
She should have at least asked if the business was profitable or not within the last 5 years. He should have given that information for free. Not doing so would be a red flag. Heck he should have given financials for free
The business is worth nothing. It hasn't made any profit in 5 years. Also, it has almost no clients. But yet the owner is selling it for $25 000! Absurd! The plaintiff had to pay money to get accurate information. That is a lot cheaper than buying the business for $25 000 and then realizing you will never make a profit. That would be very costly!! The plaintiff really saved herself a lot of grief by spending $2 000! Look before you leap!!
@@kenthomas4668The business is great for tax deductions. Then after paying rent and hydro there is probably not much money left for salary. Of course the defendant makes it seem like the business is doing great.

Defendant was 100% right when he was speaking about Yelps predatory ways of pushing bad reviews
Scary.
