NegativeFeedback Birthday well Gergo, thanks for all the great content. love your channel
Birthday well Gergo
NegativeFeedback Birthday well Gergo, amazing Video as always !
Birthday well Gergo
happy belated birthday bud ❤️
Birthday well Gergo, may the Mullet never stop growing
That mullet/moustache combo is bound to unlock some hidden superpowers. The camera is nice too. Birthday wishes aplenty.
Was shopping around for a T2 and couldn’t find something near mint for under $900 at the time. I ended up getting this Nikon for way less and I love it. I agree with everything you said but I do like the design of it. I think the top dials look cool despite its impractical use. Glad you got to try it out! Cheers mate.
Also Birthday well Gergo!
Something about the 35ti I didn't know for a while that's a kind of cool feature is when you half press the shutter and the camera decides a shutter speed, you can manually adjust it with the command dial for a few seconds before the exposure is locked.
Sean C didn’t realise that, that’s pretty cool
Birthday well Gergo
Good review, thx George.
What happened to "Squaaaaaare-spaaaaaace" ??
Iggie1970 if it was there every time it wouldn’t be as special
@@NegativeFeedback happy and sad you didnt ! love the memes but also appreciate a serious vid every now and then. i think you've found the perfect balance :) hbd gergo
Birthday well Gergo!!!! May your exposures be perfect and your negatives juicy.
Great balanced review. Much appreciated.
Birthday well Gergo
I swear, I can’t hear Squarespace anymore on anyone’s video, even yours, without your voice in my head going “SQUUUuuaaAAArE SpAAAACeee”.
I love the t35i the lens and the metering alone makes the camera worth it. That’s really the only reason why i kept it
great video george! inspiring my friends and I to make film videos! :)
Kyiv 💙 nice photos and video 🤙🏻
Happy birthday mane!
I’d love to see the Nikon L35AF!
Those images came out banging! Great to see so many in just one video. A super consistent quality.
Also, congratulations with your b-day 👊🏼
Birthday well Gergo!
For a point&shoot you should try the Pentax PC35AF-M, ergonomical design, rangefinder indicator in the viewfinder and a f/2.8 35mm lens!
Birthday well Gergo!
Great video, I enjoyed it - especially hearing your thoughts on using it.
Small note however;
Titanium is one of the best metals that balances toughness and low weight.
(There are lighter, stronger options but the prices per lb escalates exponentially. - even NASA opts for titanium)
It is a premium material, that is super stiff and very corrosion resistance.
Companies use it for super high-quality products that are expected to "last a lifetime."
It is a gigantoid pita to machine tho :(
Birthday well Grego!! Another great review
Birthday well Gergo! :D
Happy to see Kyiv on your photos!!! ♥♥♥
Birthday well Gergo, loved the shots you took in Kiev, would make a really nice Zine!
Happy birthday meme guy! You inspiring me a lot!all the best!
Happy birthday George!
Birthday well Gergo, Thanks George for blessing us today
Birthday well Gergo! Here's wishing you another year of wonderful exposures.
feels so surreal to see you in kyiv for some reason
sasha k ага
I find the distance setting on the dial maybe useful if you want to prefocus to a specific distance and set your aperture to say f8, to shoot as you are walking (kind of mimicking snap mode on the GR camera, but not nearly as fast)
Yeah, but maybe it would have been better to have a manual focus setting where you scroll through the focus distances with the wheel, more like a contax g series
@@NegativeFeedback yeah they definitely could have made the functionality a bit less convoluted, the dial design definitely stands out at least 🥴
Titanium is lighter than most metals. Remember titanium used for watches because of its lightness compared to steel.
Yes it is lighter than steel, but it is heavier than aluminium and magnesium, so those are better options for compact cameras IMO.
A birthday haiku for Georgie boy and everyone’s favourite mullet:
If I were your hair
I would rest on your head, proud
And always look great
Thanks for the video George
Just now found your Channel and your production Quality is amazing . Instant subscribe! :D
Birthday well Gergo!! mullet looking like you are straight outa the 80/90's
The camera takes great pictures but the man behind the camera is the artist, hope you have a great day keep both feet on the ground and keep taking great photographs.
Nice beast-maker in the background.
Many years ago, I wanted a camera like this and decided on this Nikon or a Contax T2. In the end, I bought one of each, used them a bit and did an extensive set of lens tests. I ran into many of the issues mentioned here. The Nikon has many more users selected features than the Contax, but they are accessed though a user controlled menu system that must be the most silly and complex ever created = totally useless unless you want to sit down with the camera and manual and then spend much time playing around. The result is that you initially set a few basic choices and then never use the features menu again. The flash functions are controlled by a set of flush little buttons on the cameras front which are exceptionally difficult to use. (Nikon replaced them in the TI28, presumably after user complaints.) The Nikon lens is absolutely sharper than the Contax at a few settings, but the T2 lens is overall better at most settings, which is important in an auto camera where the user does not normally select f-stops. The Nikon's matrix metering is a generation better than the T2, but the Contax does well enough. Kept the T2; sold the Nikon.
1:43 and 4:00 look just amazing!
“Birthday well Gergo!” I would like to see a review of the Yashica Electro 35. It’s the only film camera I’ve owned and would like to hear your thoughts and see what you can do with the “ poor man’s Leica”.
Birthday well Gergo never stop never stopping
Funny, there has been one of these all in black in my local camera shot which is been thinking of getting 😁
TheBlast the black one is infinite more swag points
Birthday well Gergo, booting up the scanner now in your honour
That mullet George 🔥🔥
I demand u re include the square space advert. that was an absolute game changer man.
You need to try out the Ricoh gr1 or gr1s... sounds like the perfect point n shoot for u. If u like 28mm. Birthday well gergo.
Birthday well Gergo. May all of your scans be warm.
A cheap small range finder with a great lens you should check out is the Konica C35 FD or under the name the Konica Auto S3 (sold out of Japan.)
Good review and thank you for not claiming (quite erroneously as a young California UA-camr did earlier this year) that its flash is always on.
That said, I find the top display quite useful because I can check my settings (aperture and exposure comp before I bring it up to compose and shoot. And since the LCD does not show the # of exposure when the camera is off, the analog display of shots fired is good for a quick reference.
The thing that bugs me most about my 35Ti is the squarish viewfinder frameline. To my eye, it needs to be more rectangular to reflect the proper 35mm aspect ratio. Good review though.
Lovely video, been keen to see your thoughts on this camera for a while! I'd LOVE if you checked out the Konica A4 (Big Mini), it's the first Konica Big Mini point and shoot in the series, it won compact camera of the year in 1989 and has some unique features. A dedicated close up mode button (0.35-0.6m) so you can shoot close but 100% know it won't focus on the background. An amazing camera that I picked up about 10 months ago, would recommend. It's unique and beautiful to use! Thanks George x
Try out the Contax T or TVS. Both good cameras without the high price tag of the T2/T3
Hands down, favorite two film camera's I own Nikon 28ti and 35ti. Never thought the grip was that bad, but maybe I'm bias. It was like the first film camera I bought. I'm guilty of liking the asthetics, durabilty, quality of photos. I just toss this thing in my bag for a hike or backpacking trip and don't have to worry. I will say the AF is sluggish.
Chris Russo I haven’t figured out how to turn off the automatic flash on mine, any advice?
Another camera that's well known for it's Gauge is the Epson R-D1. The first digital Leica M mount camera, with a body based on the Voigtlander Bessa. It had a gauge for showing white balance, battery, file quality and shots left on the card. Probably a little more practical than the 35ti.
happy bday George!
Impressive bit of parkour at 1:49, Gergo.
I have it. I love it. The aesthetic is what made it unique and worth picking up. But yeah, not necessary at all.
I've been thinking about the Agfa Optima 1035 "the other red dot camera". Curious if people like it. Have one to sell?
Check out the yashica t4 zoom! Enjoying it a lot
Birthday well Gergo! It will be really nice to see some reviews on Contax T3, Minolta TC-1 or Ricoh GR1V.
I've been trying to buy the TC-1 for over a year now, finally won one today!
The quality of the images is a big YES for me i would definitely use it even tho it feels like a potatoes with dials
same! The quality is amazing. I actually like the design.
lov ur channel! Which is your favorite 40mm or 35mm vintage lenses?
Birthday well Gergo. May you bless my scans
I've always fawned over this camera because of it's stylistic design but not ever having shot with it or seen one in real life I never considered how useless the dials are while actually shooting... Thanks for the heads up! I'll stick to my MUJ -1 I think.
Birthday well Gergo. Once the mullet is complete, the world will face judgment 🙏
I've got this bad boy. Rocks
I had one, enjoyed it but got rid of it. have you tried shooting with a Rollei 35 before, I think you would enjoy it a lot actually. the 35S in particular is my favourite. would be great to get your point of view, and you can get one for less than half the price of a 35Ti. on that note, Birthday well Gergo and keep up the good work!
I would love to see proper Leica Minilux review. Is it the best compact camera glass ever made?
Birthday well Gergo
If you can find one (because I've looked and they're near impossible to find) try out the Minolta Freedom Tele AF. It's apparently the cousin to the Leica AF-C1, in that the manufacture of the Leica was based on the Minolta. I picked one up from a thrift store for probably $5 US, but I've seen them go online for about $20. I've run a few rolls of film through it, and even though it's finnicky, it's a ton of fun to shoot on. It has a 38-80mm f/2.8-5.6 lens on it that's pretty sharp for something its size, and a nice built in flash that works well when it fires. The AF is pretty spot on as well, and I'd love to hear what you think about it!
I mean yeah, there's loads of cheap point and shoots out there but no where near the qaulity of this camera. You can pick one up on the Japanese market for around $1000 depending on condition. Probably even more since this video got released. The closest camera would probably be a contax T2 or T3
Birthday well Gergo. Have you tested the Minolta tc-1 before?
Birthday well, Gergo. That looks like a cool camerao
Yeah man, happy Birthday, I have held a 35Ti and, honestly outside of it looking cool, I felt that any other higher end point and shoot would suffice. At the price these are going for I could just save a little more and nab a good M body. There is a P&S that I think you should take a look at, it's the Fujica DL-100, I received one from my friend as a thanks for moving a piano a few years ago, Honestly, the photos came out really great. It's a rather affordable option as well. It's not as premium as say the 35Ti but I'd say it's right around the Canon AF35ML range. Cheers mate have a good one.
birthday well gergo !
I'm looking for an all arounder 35mm that can do fast point n shoot stuff as well as slower stuff like portraits or fashion photog type things. I'm leaning towards a Contax G2 but would this Nikon be a better choice? Or are they completely different
PS: Birthday well Gergo !
Hey George, Im a bit late to the conversation, but does the Nikon have an immediately accessible Auto Exposure Lock option? Or is this negated by the amazing matrix metering? Thanks, Simon.
when you come back to Portugal, say something, I'll guide you for best spots around Lisbon, nice exposures.
That hair is growing in nicely!
George really fly I see you with them Salomons
I use the leica mini II, it's pretty good but it might just cost a bit too much because leica. But it's really wonderful, great lens and good exposures.
Easily the coolest film point and shoot ever in my opinion
Can you make a review of your Konica recorder? i heard they are sharp and rare. And oh Birthday well Gergo!
birthdaywellgergo, my scans shall be blessed forevermore
Wow. Didn't knew you were planning trip to Kyiv. Give a call next time! :)
1:44 is sooooo clean
This was in an older video, but I don’t know if you ever gave your full thoughts on the Konica bm-201. Would you consider shooting with one again if it were functional:)? Happy B day Gergo
The black one is hot. I think it's usually the 28mm... Maybe
I had to laugh at your frustration with this camera. Commiserations. Bear in mind that ergonomic design was a new fangled concept in my living memory. And with regard to handling, bear in mind also that at one time it was rare to see a camera in use without a half case and neck strap. That's why you guys have lovely non-scarred cameras to play with today. Try and find the one for this ode to beautiful imperfection, and see if you can grow to love it as much as someone else obviously did.
Cheers.
HB George! And greetings to Cian✌🏻
I'd like to know what you think of the Fujifilm Natura S. Personally I love it! Also Birthday Well Gergo
hbd to the big homie
Birthday well Gergo, “great mullet comes great responsibility”

where do u develop ur photos?
Birthday well, Gergo
appy birthday gergo
Birthday well Gergo 🧐
Hi good review and some personal feelings I don t share (but it s normal as they are personal :) : you say the handling is not good due to the position of the lens … mainly when I shoot with one hand… On my side I like to shoot with my two hands to be stable :), the body is too heavy due to usage of titanium… for your knowledge titanium is one of the lightest metal you can find… is you want less weigh you need to use plastic… and the dials are useless I prefer an lcd screen. For this last rem again it s personal and you probably prefer the large iPad screen of a Tesla…. And on my side I will prefer the charm of the old (and even not so old) Aston Martin :). Never mind, this box makes good photos, is far cheaper than a T2 with far more functionalities and the flash can be set off unlike the one on the Leica CM… So for the ones who loves beautiful things it s a kind of affordable jewel. Thx for this review , and even if for this one you don t agree on everything (but we are free aren t we ?) I will follow your channel :)
Wish these cameras didnt have such a high failure rate. Such a beautiful camera and very fun to use, same with the contax series. 30 plus year old electronics are borderline non repairable.
They are repairable, check out PPP repairs
@@NegativeFeedback nah they aren't repairable. What you need to think about negative feedback is they don't make parts for vintage cameras anymore
@@NegativeFeedback That depends heavily on the issue that the camera has. With the contax, only 3 places in the world are able to repair the electronic issues in the camera and repairing it costs roughly 400-500 dollars. The Nikon, parts are even more scarce and one of the few places in Japan that repaired them stopped repairing last year due to lack of parts.
