I've been playing the crap out of GAMMA recently and honestly, visually, this looks like a downgrade.

I appreciate all the details like junk lying around and every corner has something to look at but I really hope it will have the same realistic feel as the old games. I grew up in an area that looked very similar to the one in the game (at least nature and weather wise) and it blew me away, it was so immersive. Just like the pictures from the actual zone. In these trailers everything looks so... spectacular. That might be a good thing but I really hope it will be as authentic as the old games. Trist, realistic nature and soviet ruins. Just look at Screenshots of the old games and you see what I mean. They look less spectacular but more realistic. Also, where are the white glowing eyes? They scared the shit out of me when I was a kid lol.

Stalker has one of the most dedicated yet toxic and elitist fan based I’ve ever seen. I agree 100% that the only way to play stalker is with a Cyrillic spoken language paired with whatever subtitles you desire, but fuck dude let people enjoy the game how they want. We can only judge the game when it comes out, no point in arguing right now
Man don't get me wrong but after playing the gamma( with the textures that make the game look stunning and mods that make gunplay absolute beauty) the gameplay of stalker 2 doesn't look that astonishing. But I believe they will deliver a masterpiece surpassing all the previous games (moded or unmaded) all in due time.
What texture packs do you recommend?

2)Enhanced Shaders and Color Grading
3)Custom GAMMA Mod list Guide

There isn't much difference between the first three, so I really hope we get new mutants and new, unique weaponry. I feel STALKER has potential but we haven't really seen it yet..I think people played it because they were Fallout fans first.
Where is the gameplay? All I see is earlier trailers and prerendered scenes.
What the devs themselves have shown, I was not impressed by, sadly. It needs more work.
And if you don't wanna get frustated do have expectations.
I hope they add more to the lore like clear sky rising up again against monolith

Ayo since all STALKERS are active here anyone knows how to mod the steam version of SoC? I changed in the text file the Gamedata thingy to true and follow each individual mods readme file but whenever I open the game its still vanilla, im not overlapping any mods, just trying to run Xpress

This just doesn't look like Stalker to me. It feels like Farcry in post-apocalyptic russia, with the Hollywood one-liners and run and gun gameplay.
Finally a game that truly looks like next gen

@kunalvohra6628 Yes. Can't remember which game, but the trailer was run on a dev PC that could use the Playstation 5 software. This allowed them to say that the game could run 60+ fps on PS5 when it really could only be run on a high-end PC.

Nearly Every game that comes out now their slapping popular older titles on redundant boring uninspired trash hoping to sell based on the reputation of the previous one…
It’s wild that there’s been maybe a handful of games that are truly enjoyable on the consoles in the past 5 years.
I truly believe that we’re in a time where the hedge funds/investors run everything and all well eventually get is trash designed to meet some sales numbers
Look at whenever some company produces something great their told they over delivered then bought out the next day by some bigger corporation that offloads trash to us with a once popular titles name
I’m hopeful for this game, although the graphics don’t impress me whatsoever considering we were seeing these graphics years and years ago.
Couldn't care less about graphics. It could look like the original S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games for all I care. Gameplay is more important. Being obsessed with graphics is what turned the gaming industry into what it is today. All focus on graphics, everything else sucks.

You can already expect someone's going to make a mod where they speak a mix of Ukrainian and Russian, Like they do in modern Ukraine today, I forgot the name of it it has a name where it's the mix of Ukrainian and Russian, Or simply just Russian, But once the Russian language mod comes out the Ukrainian goverment will instantly ban it

After playing Gamma I can't help but think this Stalker 2 gameplay looks a bit arcade-y when compared to the realistic and hardcore feel of Gamma. I'm really hoping they keep the realistic feel of the old games and not turn to trying to appeal to the mainstream COD shooter audience.
But the older stalker games are kind of arcadey aren't they?
It'll probably have a food and water system, which would be a step up from the old trio that gsc released. But i don't think the old games were all that realistic, only stuff like efp and gamma, even normal anomaly is a bit arcade like

The only bad thing I can say is, this game looks like they took Metro and just added on too it.
STALKER is honestly nothing like metro other than "Russian fallout" vibes. Exodus is the only game that comes close but does not hit the same mark

I've seen like 3 videos online where in some Ukrainian Parliament some politicians start arguing and they go from a mix of Ukrainian and Russian To yelling full Russian cause easier to argue

I hope they have Ukranian voiceovers in final trailers instead of catering to lazy muricans that cant read subtitles ( not all ) Also SEPARATE armor bar and stop following the non imnersive trope of other FPS and cram health/ armor/ shields into one bar. Seperation also helps overview if durability. Heck an awesome paper doll to boot to hit locations. In general have weapon and armor durability, managent, upg & and side/ alternate/ specialized upgrades from CoP and CS

Influenced by real world politics, Actually no, what I'm saying they couldn't put Russian language into the game even if they wanted to, Because they outlawed speaking the second most common language in Ukraine, Most people speak a mix of Russian and Ukrainian, I forgot the name for it it has a name, Fluent Ukrainian is rare, Similar to how Belarussian language is like dead, its like one of the hardest languages to speak and learn
I hope they won't do what Call of Duty does and make Russia the bad guys in the game, I just love it when a game franchise becomes a political enforcer, Distilling ideas and ideologies into the mind of the players, Because in every single Call of Duty game since like the first 4 at least, Russia has been the bad guys

As a very short and minor history lesson, The Ukrainian nationalist party was started in Ukraine by the CIA, or at least funded by it/aided by it, a time before the cold war after ww2 To rally people who hated Russia and the soviet union and put them in the power of the country, To apply a pressure on the Soviet Union and make it collapse faster, Interesting Side note here is a number of nazis who escaped to Ukraine ended up in this party, it was corrupted if it wasn't for an evil purpose from the start
