i like how in this case the barrier actually makes sense and isnt just an invisible wall its like, "ya they have this kind of tech so that makes sense"
honestly the barrier doesn’t bother me that much, giving the zeniths are all protected by personal barriers, this is an explainable choice. They could also just point a huge ass laser at you once you fly over the border, or generate endless specters to through at you, or simply telling you that your focus is overloading there's no way infiltrate this area and cut to black to send you back. To me they are all just versions of "draw bridge you cannot drop yet, come back later", as long as they are logical in the sense of story telling, it's a good job done.
Its supposed to be an open world game, but in reality its a simple linear adventure game with some RPG grind mechanics. The excitement of exploration is killed by the three main game barriers. Also they play many tricks with maps, removing fires, anchor points, so certain things only happen once on a mission and not before or after.
I'm more impressed that you were able to deploy the shield wing without Aloy latching on to the Sunwing. I've never been able to use the shield wing after jumping off the bird.

Once you start floating off the ground, it's that immediate sense of "well now I *know* I'm not supposed to be here"
to be fair it would make sense that a civilization that travels though the stars would be able to make massive barriers like that. also seeing as its their main form of defense it also fits in that regard.

canonically it got badly damaged during alloy's travels searching for gia, and lost all her gear in the process, made me almost cry seeing what was left of the weaver armor that became the nora anointed starting armor, and the loss of my carja shadowcaster, shadowhunter bow, and several other very strong tools i got early on from just hunting machines.

If the devs were extra smart they could have done a Cyberpunk thing and made a deliberate hole in the shield, underwater cave or something, or at least some secrete dialogue with an NPC at a very specific (small window) time and made a super secrete ending option where Aloy goes it alone for an Ultra-hard experience and secret ending.
I don't like this. It would have been the perfect occasion to summon neverending spectres at you just to make sure Aloy can't possibly survive, but if she somehow manages to escape it would have been the perfect occasion to include the dialogue when discussing the assault on the base.
or just have her vaporized upon entry, via something similar to what Londra built in Burning Shores
The Sphere collider in this game is thin as 1 layer of papper, that why the object can piercing it by use 2 objects that are pushing each other. The developer team should add Sphere Colider with thick skins. Like 30 layer of pappers

Aloy got to the barrier and was like “LET ME IIINNNNNNNNN!”
That glidewing is super handy! 😎
i like how in this case the barrier actually makes sense and isnt just an invisible wall its like, "ya they have this kind of tech so that makes sense"
Honestly it was dumb not letting us go after the end of the game
Great job glitching through the shield :D
honestly the barrier doesn’t bother me that much, giving the zeniths are all protected by personal barriers, this is an explainable choice.
That's weird. It's normal to be able to deploy the glider after jumping off the Sunwing. You might have encountered a glitch.
@@darthgamer9468 It’s annoying for sure. Wish there was a way to dismiss the Sunwing. It often flies between me and my target too.

the first game is still by far one of my absolute favorite games of all time.
It enrages me that in 2022 games still have 'invisible walls' in open world games. How hard is it to just put sheer unscalable cliffs/obstacles/events in places to prevent players from being able to access them until quests allow. They literally do it around most of the map with massive mountains. Even a tacky shield dome over the Zenith base would have been better than that.
This is a shield wall though, that's why it's in bright colours like everything else the zeniths use
@@andrejv.2834 You misread my comment, I specifically mentioned the shield on the zenith base as an example of an obvious way to show you can't pass an area.
First half of the game an invisible wall prevents you from exploring further over mountains (on flat terrain) until you do a specific main quest, then magically you are able to pass the invisible wall.

You also can’t go back afterwards. It becomes classified as beyond the game’s map.
But what if you go to Zar Fenith?… 👀
I guess it makes aense that their base is shielded with the same shield all zeniths use but i think it would be funnier just getting swarmed by spectures if you go there way before the game intended
What if death stranding world = horizon world???
Lmao no
I like how that Spectre just does not care.
Invisible walls can instantly make the most polished games feel unpolished to me
Know what you mean, but in this case you could expect the Zeniths to have a protective shield around their base?
I hate that even after finishing the story I couldn’t go back to the Zenith Island. In the game context the shield protecting the base makes all sense
Why not fly directly? Why do that part running?
I wonder why rhetorically too.
Can’t get to the Zenith base through legitimate means outside the end of the main story. Therefore, he has to run out of bounds (Mounts always turn you away from the edge of the map)
I think they took the phrase „plot shield“ a bit to serious. :)
