@@betraid I agree that I, the mask was a pretty underappreciated album that included some of the best in flames songs since SOAPF (I am above, Call my name, Stay with me). However, the quality just wasn't consistent and forgettable or just arguably bad songs like In this life or This is our house drag the album down. To me, Foregone is just more consistently good, with the only weaker song being Bleeding out. Also, the production just feels heavier.
@@Caipiranha89 Yeah, i see the songs you mentioned are heavy bangers, and This is our house is more chill song, all depends from your taste, for my taste Foregone is just too heavy. I prefer more melodic stuff. I the mask for me were the sweet spot between melodic music and badass screams like in (I am above)
I lost a friend to cancer about a year ago. I wish I could've walked in his shoes, or let him know how much he has done for me beyond the grave. Also, what a great mix they got! This one sounds powerful and clear, not as some of the previous records, which had very low gain and not so punchy drums.

I bought the cd and unlimited stream off of bandcamp, this album is the best album they've ever done IMO. Come Clarity and Reroute to Remain were fantastic as well, but they are at the top with any band with this one as far writing/production/sound!! Heavy Guitars, Deathy Vocals, then you hear this song and you just trip on how versatile they are!!🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
