I first saw In Flames by accident when they were on their 2002 tour with Children of Bodom and Iced Earth. I was a huge Iced Earth fan at the time and wasn't familiar with the openers. Boy I tell you the moment they started playing Bullet Ride the crowd exploded and I was INSTANTLY hooked. Like many folks here, I was quite disappointed with the band's direction. I was able to make it up to A Sense of Purpose, but even that was getting a little tough. These two newest releases feel like such a throw back to me that nostalgia hits in all the right ways. Brings me right back to being 17 instead of 37 for just a few good minutes. Here's hoping this new album explodes like this track!
I saw them twice on the Clayman tour in 2000. Once with Shadows Fall and Nevermore in a packed, super small club that held like 200 people max. It was awesome seeing them in such a small venue. My intro to them was Whoracle in 1997 or early 1998. The minute I heard that album they became my favorite band. I waited for the next 2 years for them to hit the US with shows and saw every one in my area from 2000 to 2005. Those were the days. Glad to see they are back to the old style. The jump up and down nu metal ish stuff is not for me.
With no doubt the coolest In Flames concert I've been to. And also a huge thanks to TesseracT, Lorna shore and Orbit culture for hyping up the evening!
I've seem TesseracT, great band. Would have been such a treat to see fucking IN FLAMES and TesseracT in the same building. Glad you got to experience that.
I honestly believed I’d never enjoy another In Flames release. I was cool just going back to Colony/Whoracle/The Jester Race/Clayman/etc for my In Flames fix. Then they drop this and I can’t stop screaming the sky is on fire and the angels cry.
I love how this band has evolved over time. I don't care about anybody's opinion, I love every single one of their songs. In Flames will always and forever be my favorite band.
Hell yeah! My favorite to next to fear factory n killswitch engage. I don’t understand all these so called in flames fans who only like 2 albums from their begging n was still evolving. Battles is by far my favorite album, then RTR, then probably STYE, but love Clayman, I, the mask, come clarity, ASOP, and SOAPF. Every album is bout perfect. In flames we trust!
I saw In Flames live for the first time in my life 10 december in Copenhagen then 17 december in Gothenborg this year, it was 2 days of my life that. 2 of the best days in my life, have many best days but these 2 something quite special. Fyfan va grymma ni va In Flames, kommer köra och se er i Dalhalla också från Malmö!!!.
And we need to thank The Halo Effect for that. With the "ex-in flames mates" and stuff, they were like "yo guys, hey in flames - u suck guys, make a better album, we will remind you of how u should sound". And they appear to have heard the subliminal message of the halo effect. The song is a banger.
Tour starts in a couple days, I’ll be at the first show in Boston. I’m so fucking excited I feel like I’m 16 again. Thank you In Flames, this song is amazing I know the new album will be amazing as well! #INFLAMESFOREVER 🤘🔥🔥💚🤘
Seen them since 03. Last time was this summer on Dalhalla. Vocals and riff is as good as, (If not even better live). Great band, great music. Jester dance is my ringthone 👍
What do you mean with how old these guys are?? I'm 65 and a rock musician and I love them, and Arch Enemy, Amon Amarth, Meshuggah and Hypocrisy too!! Greetings Pete from Germany!! 😊
And the jester race comes back!!!!!!!! Kicks in the door with a stout riff, drop off, and punch right in with the groove. Textbook, and the melodic riff, leading to the hardcore pre-chorus and straight beat down after that. Counterpoint works very well for the flames when you do those breakneck switches on the feel. This song is a gut punch, in all the right ways
Awesome! Hope there will be a recording of Dalhalla Brinner from Tessaract, Lorna Shore and Orbit Culture. Have fun on your North American tour with Fit For An Autopsy, Orbit Culture and Vended
@@Mrjokealot I've already been at their show here in Milan ten days ago. But it was so exciting that I've decided to see them again on the last date and most important in their home country, with thiusands of fan. And I've been so lucky to find a resale ticket.
@@alessandrogallotti5508 Haha that is amazing man very cool of u, yes true its the last date and in their home town.. soo that means u are in gothenborg now? :D
In Flames are not a ''go to'' band for me, but the great guitar work, great riffs and hooks and competent lyrics won me over on this heads-down-horns high number. Well worth a listen if you're up for some serious metal. My Score: Good 3*
Props to the editor for making a music video from all footage that’s not the actual song. I see you, bro. I feel you.
What a great singer this man is ! In flames is better than ever.
Haha hell to the noo!!
This has been such a killer year for melodeath. So many great albums.
And now Kalmah's new release is also such a banger
Love when classic bands return to their older sound.
same
Even bandmembers get nostalgic!
I'm glad they did for sure. This is gonna be a banger on tour.
Older sound? This sounds at best like 2006 In Flames, a little bit far from their glorious 1996-2000 period.
See you in Cleveland!

Children of Bodom, Iced Earth and In Flames. What an epic show, lucky you.

@@Transilvanian90 Bro...everything after Lunar Strain was a disappointment. But whatever, most of you like the crap they made after their first album.
