It is probably a anti-cheat thing that the dev's implemented to stop people from using cheats.
Great point but why put it in lego games it's not online so it doesn't need a anti-cheat system.

i think the only way to fix it is to delete everything about this game meaning delete GAME and ALL GAME SAVES and start over again that's how...
I used the same character for the nintendo switch version of Lego Harry Potter Collection and it did NOT do that! have you tried using a different dark magic character or is it just every character?
Use yo be every character but the bugs are hotfixed now
Well i think they hotfixed it because they hotfixed copy your character glitch

Hey I've found a way. Turn off all the cheats, it works for me again
after joining, you can activate all cheats that you needed

Well it doesn't have any updates on this game but I don't know about hot fixes goes.
