- Level 1 / Dark Times FREE PLAY in Lego Harry Potter Years 5-7. Dark Times Free Play offers 4 Hogwarts House Crest Pieces, 1 Student in Peril and 3 Characters tokens. Before starting Dark Times FREE PLAY in Lego Harry Potter Years 5-7, make sure you have a Strong Character (we use Remus Lupin), a Key Character (we use Mrs. Cole) and a Dark Magic Character (we use Grindelwald Old) as shown in our Preparing for FREE PLAY video. The rest of our Lego Harry Potter Years 5-7 FREE PLAY videos will cover all House Crests locations, Student in Perils locations as well as all of the Character Token locations and of course will have our Quick Links to get you to all of the important items just like this one. I like it how Dudley actually redeems himself in the seventh book like he was grateful to Harry for saving him from those Dementors as some of you actually read all seven books at least Dudley turned over a new Leaf
It's sad when people say that they are a harry potter fan but they haven't actually read the books. Read all the books and watch all the films then you may have the right to call yourself a Harry Potter fan
Harry literally saved Dudley from the Dementors as well in the movies so that’s literally the same thing.
@@SkipMoon Yes, they cut the scene where Dudley is grateful to him for saving his life though at the beginning of Deathly Hallows Part 1, its one of the deleted scenes on the Deathly Hallows DVD, there was also a scene where Harry came down and his Aunt Petunia said to him that he didn't just lose a mother that day, she lost her sister. Harry saved two bullies lives and they became better men for it.

I noticed at 17:39 you missed the guard by the coffee machine, you turn into him and do some cleaning, 5 spills and it gives you a load of studs. I didn't see anything else pop up when I did it.

@@tiki_riot in freeplay you can unlock him and switch to him the same way you switch to other characters.

Found the ravenclaw crest finally, it’s after dementor attack, while your flying there’s 5 red flashing things, hit them with spells and it drops at the end, just keep shooting
I could not figure out how to get the ravenclaw house crest. Thank you!

It took me 10 trys to get all the buoys! I felt like crying by the time I finally got them all! 😨
I've played this level literally like 30 times now, i cannot hit all 5 buoys to save my life! Any tips!??
I've also done this level like 30 times and came here today to get tips. Didn't really find any but finally I've got them all! Such a relief...
Here is how I've done it: I kept spamming the spell (Y) button even though I knew exactly were those buoys (or whatever they are) were AND I kept the character on the side of the screen were they are. The first 3 are on the right side of the screen and the last 2 are on the left, so for the first 3 I was continuously pressing the right button, and then the left one. I succeeded on the first time I tried this.
Also, if you're having trouble and need to repeat this level over and over, use the super strenght and the fast magic red bricks so you can only use one character to do everything in the park and go faster, and on the dementor part just do one spero patronum and run on the dementors so they quickly get you.

I had to replay the level 3 times before I could hit all those dang red light dinghy things. I kept missing the first one.

I get very annoyed about these speed sections in levels too, because sometimes the computer just basically refuses to let you hit the target. In the flying section of this level, it's always the second one that the computer refuses to hit again and again. And there's another example at the end of Year 7-1's level 'Magic is Might', in which the character just refuses to get to the left fast enough or refuses to jump for the Slytherin crest. These levels should not have been designed to start over when you miss a single target. In fact, these kinds of sections in levels shouldn't have been included at all. There is one other example in the final level of Year 5, while you're running away from the crashing prophecy spheres in the Department of Mystics.

Mad eye kept flying in front of the second thing in the flying section, but I finally got it
I hit one of the things for the ravenclaw crest but it didn’t count so frustrating
It's not working on the grate....which spell do I use to free the student in peril? I'm using Salazar Slytherin and it says he does Dark Magic and Parseltongue but regardless of which spell I use, the grate doesn’t remove. Can you help me with this please?
Anna Elle have you tried using Bellatrix or another dark character, and I use the top spell that is normally purple
Tiegan Isted I appreciate your suggestion. My son and I were playing and that was the only character he had that does the Dark Magic. We'll try that though once unlocking more. I read somewhere else that other characters have to be unlocked first so we'll see. 😊

I found that if you stay lower right on the second red light it’s easier to hit! That was the one I kept missing but I finally got them all!

Hey - I hope you reply.... I keep trying to do free play on this level. I've unlocked and bought strong and dark characters. But when I get into the level, it only allows me to toggle between 2 characters - my main choice and Ron. Is this a glitch? Why can you toggle through all the characters you've bought and I can't?
Hmmm I assume you are playing the level on FREE PLAY mode? If you have unlocked and purchased the characters, you should be able to use them in FREE PLAY mode. If you are in FP, I would suggest a system restart and see if that helps. Often a system reset will be just enough to sync things back up and get you back on track to 100%! Hope this helps!!

I used Salazar to get the dark magic thing because he’s the only dark magic character I have, but I CANT OPEN THE DSEWER CAGE

they probably give you arthur because he was in the story mode and you need him to complete the level!
Did the game cost a lot when you first bought it, or was it cheap?
I don't remember exactly how much it was, as I know I got 1-4 used from Gamestop, and then the PS4 Remaster with both 1-4 and 5-7 were both on it and I think it was $40? Likely much much cheaper now.. lol

I’m new to the game I just beat the game but I still need a key holder and dark magic I did get Malfoy’s dad in season 1-4 and Bellatrix in season 5-7 but don’t have enough studs to buy her. Can your tell me who to get where to find them?

The student in peril won’t work for me, and I’m using a dark magic character.
Have you tried restarting your system yet? Often a reboot of the system and game can fix loading bugs/glitches like it sounds you found. Hope this helps!

You didn't show using the yellow spell on the character with the question mark by the coffee stand. It produces a vehicle that you are supposed to collect 5 of something, I've managed to collect 4/5 but I still haven't worked out what I'm collecting with the vehicle. Please can you help?
Stains on the road. Look for greenish puddle and all you get it studs. Hope that helped

Or you could get Bellatrix who I wouldn't recommend unless you had multipliers during Story Mode because she's 3 million studs.
Btw you get her token after you beat her on the last level, you fight her as Molly Weasley and Kingsley Shacklebolt.

It's, a completely separate game. When I bought it, the games were both on the start up screen. Just toggle between the two....

I would try restarting your system and re-loading the level. This will often correct a loading bug/glitch as it sound you found. Hope this helps!
How do you unlock Arthur Weasley?
This was a horrible design flaw in the game, having to repeat the intro through to getting all 5 buoys or whatever they are while flying. Oh, and helloooo, Life of Brian!

I would suggest restarting your system. Often a simple restart will correct loading bugs/glitches. I assume you have completed all of STORY and are returning for FREE PLAY?
