Bro I just picked up 2 of these!!! A 4x4 and a 2x4. Gonna build for my son and his friends to ride. Coolest small bikes I've ever seen. Thanks for the videos.
Used to have a '92 Timberwolf 2x4 (videos on my channel) and now have an '02 Bear Tracker which is nearly identical. They're amazing tough little machines. They're the Billy goats of the ATV world and honesty if you just need something basic to roll around on They're really hard to beat.
Thank you so much for the level of detail! You have saved me having to troubleshoot several little things I want to fix on my Timberwolf! For one I could not find the Choke and honestly thought it did not have one. You also helped me figure out which brakes I need to adjust! So far its a solid ATV and cant wait to button up the little issues with your help!

My wife's grandpa just gave me his 94 4x4 timberwolf. It's sat outside the last 17 years. Took me 20 minutes and had that bad boy running. Very surprised. And really like it.
You have the shift pattern sticker right there on the front left plastics it should be a five-speed with reverse and a semi-automatic transmission. Not too dissimilar to a bear tracker 250 which replaced the timberwolf. Great machines. I love my 2002 bear tracker.
Heck yea. Fun to ride and enough power to pull my weight. If you need more helpful tips, check out: ua-cam.com/video/X0AdFxkJiOg/v-deo.html and if you need parts: www.ebay.com/str/midnebraskamotorsports. thanks for watching and the comment.

I bought a yamaha timberwolf 4x4 does not have pull start just electric start it’s a greenish color and there is not grinding marks where the vin should be but i can’t see the vin and it’s been spray painted how can i tell what year?
Great question!! Check out our ebay store for parts like that: www.ebay.com/str/midnebraskamotorsports Have you watched our other videos on this machine? Check out: ua-cam.com/video/P4cP2U-bZyU/v-deo.html. Thanks for watching and the comment!
Love the videos, thank you! However my 94 Timberwolf will only pull start and run no lights even when running?! If I put a battery in I get no lights, no electric start, and no neutral or reverse lights. Any ideas?
Hello Argentina!! I'd go for the big bear, but they are both great options. Thanks for watching and the comment. Let us know if you even need anything. www.ebay.com/str/midnebraskamotorsports
Pilot jet issues for sure. Also you might check the air/fuel screw. But I’d start with the pilot jet. All of that should be covered in this video. Thanks for the comment! I bought one of these for my gf awhile back and the brakes are not that great. Is there a disc brake conversion I could get for a 98 4x4 or anything that will cross onto this quad?
May just need new shoes or adjusting. I find the drum brakes work just fine when they are in good shape. But if they are worn or out of adjustment they are practically useless.
Thanks for your thorough video. Just bought a '94 and will be bringing it home tomorrow. Now I know what to look for as I sort it out. Are you able to suggest what brands you consider "good" when a Regulator Rectifier is needed? I am guessing a genuine Yamaha is the most expensive.
Just a rough guess, but 32mph. Anyone else have an answer? You could always repipe, and rejet. You won't find much for performance parts on the timberwolf. Thanks for watching! Let us know if you need anything: www.ebay.com/str/midnebraskamotorsports
@@MidNebraskaMotorsportsthey was rated to run exactly 50 mph when they was new, so id guess somewhere around 42 mph, at least that's what mine will run, Even when it was new, it would max at 42 mph on flat ground and down hill it would push 50 mph, it still runs 42 mph
I just bought a used Timber Wolf 250? Is a 94 2x4, but the odd part is that the engine is labeled 1500CM3. Wouldn't that make it a 150? Newb question I'm sure. Also, front shocks are done for, all spring. Has anyone swichted out the shocks for the eye to eye style? I'm thinking I might as well upgrade the A-arms and everything, they also have knuckle adapter. Anyone done this?
You’ve got a project on your hands. Send me a picture of this ATV. I’m curious what you are working with. Normally the 1500 would mean 150cc but Yamaha also uses number/letter combinations to identify parts. I’m wondering if you are seeing these. If you need more helpful tips, check out: ua-cam.com/video/X0AdFxkJiOg/v-deo.html and if you need parts: www.ebay.com/str/midnebraskamotorsports. thanks for watching and the comment.

Hi, I like to buy used ATV in Argentina. Which better, Yamaha Timberwolf 4x4 2001 or Yamaha Big Bear 2005? Thanks

I cannot find the VIN where you listed it. Not sure if it is a 96, 97, or 98? are they all the same place?

I’ve seen models without a pull start. Can u just plop a pull start on one that doesnt have one?
You can start it in any gear if you squeeze the parking brake while pressing the starter

I wonder if you could tell me why my timberwolf runs forward without revning it.
Your idle is probably too high lower that down and it should be good same thing happened to me
Throttle cable could be in a bind the way it's routed isn't great if you give it slack or take cap off carb n see what's going on in slide

are you selling it?
Total engine rebuild coming soon??
Thank you i wish you had videos on 95 Chevrolet pickup. Your video was the Most thorough and knowledgeable I've seen. Can't wait to see more.
There is a oil plug by the side output shaft behind shifter that has a brass and maybe a wire connection , do you know what that is ?
My guess is the wire is for the neutral/reverse light. And the plug maybe the trans fluid. Just a guess.
It's the neutral safety switch
Do you possibly know where to buy a seat for a timberwolf
Look up partzilla. They should have some. Otherwise I have no clue.
I have a black seat that is used but pretty good shape. $20 and you pay shipping.
