Ernie didn't let fame or Hollywood get to him. Just a cool down to earth dude enjoying the fruits of his labor and spreading himself around like Joe six pack. I would like to have a beer or a glass of wine around the campfire with him.He really knows how to enjoy life. Kudos to you Ernie 😎
Couldn't get past the attorneys at the time likely. And also possibly in around this time that The disappearance of Jodi Huisentruit came unfortunately and is the FBI cover-up they were pushing some crazy trucker when their hired rapper informant took care of her as she was about to expose crooked drug running opts for the local CBS affiliate before she was silenced.
Ernest Borgnine, I've always watched him through my years, he was a great actor Im sure a great person to know. I enjoy watching these videos of Ernest on the road. Thanks for sharing. ❤
Do you like Ernest Borgnine on The Poseidon Adventure Deborah Mitchell ,? I still like that one 1972 was a great year maybe I ought to watch that movie again sometime soon
This is a man who loved people and loved life, a giant in the world of entertainment but a very nice humble person in real life. God bless you Ernie you are missed, thank the Lord for all your work we have on video, you will never be forgotten.
I just love watching these videos of Ernie on the road. I met him in 1999 and still have a picture of my wife and I with him. Such a gentleman. Thank you again for posting these. We get a peek into a part of Ernie's world that obviously gave him great satisfaction.
He reminds me so much of my grandpa. I bet Ernie Borgnine was a fantastic guy to spend time with. I bet he had a million amazing stories. Rest in Peace, legend. ❤
I met Ernest in 1983, through my friend at Universal Television Casting Dept., and we had a grand party there with a lot of Universal actors and celebs. Great fun and I was pleased to have met Ernest since McHale's Navy was a TV staple in the 60s- - we loved it. First time I've seen the Sunbum.. Nice montage and good times on the road.
I don’t know why but when they were dumping the sewage I thought of the kardashians. I’d rather watch these videos over them. This was a fun group to watch. Thanks for the unedited footage
Just seem this June 2020. Ernest always seemed like such a great guy. Reminds me of my Father in law : Aways laughing and carrying on. What a privilege to see him with his son travelling the country.
this man was so incredibly special...to think of a man so accomplished, talented, rewarded, and who achieved stature none of us will ever reach...., and he remains an inspiration to all of us forever....by showing us he was real
I sure miss Ernest he was one of my all time favorite actors. Everything he was is turned into gold, he was so talented you knew if he was in it that it was going to be great!! I live in Iowa and man i sure with i was in that Dairy Queen in Altoona Iowa when him and his son stopped there..you probably would of had to drag me off his leg!!👀👍👍👍👍👍
Cris seems like a great son, he is so respectful from these videos anyways. I think he probably grew up very well and respects his elders, he just seems like a real good kid!!👀👍👍👍
I AM SITTING IN TEXAS WATCHING YOUR VIDEO AND I AM ENJOYING EVERY SECOND OF IT... I GOT EDUCATED ABOUT A MOTORHOME AND HOW TO GET RID OF BLACK WATER AND GREY WATER, AND FILL THE TANKS WITH NEW WATER I LEARNED SOMETHING, THANK YOU MR ERNEST BORGNINE …… I ENJOY YOU FOR YEARS. GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR SON AND THE DISCOVER PEOPLE.. TRAVEL SAFE.....
Great actor great gentleman here enjoying the simple life touring on his bus with his son Cris! Thanks for making and showing a Hollywood Legend as a human being ... not a star! Wished I’d met such a nice character.....best wishes to his family. Cheers 👏👍😉🏴
To have these memories with your dad must be wonderful especially to review your videos and remember all the jokes he must have said while not doing the filming. I'm glad he was able to spend this time of adventure and peace. He will always be one of my favorite male actors and I still get excited when I see one of his movies on the internet. Live long Mr. Gorgnine.
Holy smokes! If I did the math correctly based on wiki and IMDB, Ernest was 95 when he shot this video. I hope I live to be that long and be that spry. Awesome. Thanks for all of the great entertainment Ernest. Rest In Peace.
Now that makes more sense. I was scratching my head wondering how in the world someone in their mid 90's looks to be in their 70's. Fountain of youth kinda stuff. George Burns. Thanks.
this was filmed 17 years before he died by the Discovery Channel. he was 78 at the time. and lived 17 more years . this video was put on UA-cam after he died as a tribute to Ernie.
I always loved Ernest Borgnine, especially in McHales Navy. Airwolf was great, too. My favorite movie with him was the Poseidon Adventure. RIP to him and Jan-Michael Vincent.......
I guess I am not the only one who has recently found these vids. I loved watching Mr. Borgnine growing up as Lt. Cdr. Quinton McCale and this is like finding a precious old friend. Ernest Borgnine is A REAL class act in a world full of FAKES!
This is a great series of videos, he and his son traveled and invited a journalist along. Somewhere in this series he says he called his son one night and told him he'd "spent his inheritance", "would you like to go for a trip?". ha ha, great guy.
Nor Cal Dave Yeah, all you panicky Types need to visit your local RV dealer and look at how these systems work. The engineers made it fool proof a long time ago, the only way to flush the black water tank is through the one-way manifold from the gray water tank and that's what he did here. The small hose can only fill the gray water tank, again one way, and potable water is filled though an entirely different valve and hose. You can't hook any input hose to the black water side at all, zero chance of contamination.
1995 Recorded Film 🎞️ He was 78 Passed in 2012 Age 98 This was an Independent Documentary Film 🎥 done by his Son 🥃🔥🇺🇸 during Road Trip RIP 🌹 Cris turned out to be very successful
@james crowe I would have loved to go on that journey with him and had some laughs and a few brews. The stories he could tell I bet were priceless. His generation produced men that will never exist again. His personality and good natured disposition are a pleasure to behold in these videos.
Anyone familiar with RV practice knows that you never use the water spigot at the waste dump station for potable (drinking) water. That is to be used strictly for cleaning your waste tanks. There was even a sign there indicating "non potable water, not for drinking"
He seems like a lovely man and very kind. One note, not a good practice to allow your potable water hose to touch the waste water hose. Should carry a separate utility hose for cleaning / other than potable.
It's so interesting to see a big moviestar.like on vacation I miss my own dad. My da liked mountain cabin s here in nm. Fred was my dad . Same Era as Mr bargained. Values.
9:02 Uh, did I miss something or did they "take on fresh water" from the source that says "non-potable water", i.e. only used for flushing tanks and drain hoses?
@Vic McLaglen, it appears they did indeed use the non-potable water to load fresh water tanks. Also risked cross contaminating the potable water hose while using it to clean/flush the waste water dump hose. Love the man but these aren't best practices for sanitation.
June 13, 2019---Thanks for the video, not for who he was, but finding out how waste water is drained and fresh water. Looking at buying a used class A motorhome and there's so much I don't know. And now wondering how much water does the average motorhome carry.
This bus was way ahead of the usual RV classes back then.I wonder if Chris owns it now.? Earnest was a great and friendly guy his whole life.RIP Earnie
A fun video to watch. However, it is a must to wear gloves when dealing with the tanks, especially the grey tank. Also, I cannot believe that his son actually put the hose to his mouth. What a no-no in the RVing world, especially since it is near the sewer connection and it is nondrinkable water.
Great actor, great person, humble, down to earth for such a talented and great person. RIP Ernie.
WHAT A GREAT MAN HE WAS. THANKS FOR ALL YOU GAVE US SIR..
Reminds me of my trip with my father in his RV . RIP Dad and Mr. Borgnine
RIP to your father.
I absolutely cannot believe I haven't seen this. Candid Ernest Borgnine. I'm stunned. Discovery didn't pick this up? This would be gold now.
Couldn't get past the attorneys at the time likely. And also possibly in around this time that The disappearance of Jodi Huisentruit came unfortunately and is the FBI cover-up they were pushing some crazy trucker when their hired rapper informant took care of her as she was about to expose crooked drug running opts for the local CBS affiliate before she was silenced.
no no no
Wow, what a great guy he was and so down to earth - An Academy Award Winning Actor .... and his son seems like a chip off the old block too 👍👏🙏
GRANDSON you mean.
"Mermaid Man". What a gentleman he was. Last of the old time tough but sweet actors.
Can his son be Barnicle Boy, lacking Tim Conway???
Hahaha! What great comedy!!
He was also the co-pilot in Airwolf!😅
This is a man who loved people and loved life, a giant in the world of entertainment but a very nice humble person in real life. God bless you Ernie you are missed, thank the Lord for all your work we have on video, you will never be forgotten.

A great American hero of the greatest generation. We don’t know what we lost with those guys.
I always liked him. He was a great actor and gentleman. I wish I could have met him. He seems like a great all around guy.
No gloves when handling the sewer hose? And then using the white culinary water hose to rinse the sewer dump hose. . . .
NO NO NO. .
He reminds me so much of my grandpa. I bet Ernie Borgnine was a fantastic guy to spend time with. I bet he had a million amazing stories. Rest in Peace, legend. ❤

Yes Ernest Jr. You will cherish these memories the rest of your life. ❤
Gale Gregory Locomotive horn.
His name is Cris
GRAND DAD you mean.
Man I love this video. He appreciated the little things. Took such pride in the Sunbum and enjoyed life the way we all should. Great man
I don’t know why but when they were dumping the sewage I thought of the kardashians. I’d rather watch these videos over them. This was a fun group to watch. Thanks for the unedited footage
Jeff Passage I thought the same as you. I guess sewage is synonymous with Kardashian.
I wanna se the Kardashians dump sewage!
Can’t imagine the Kardashians emptying their toilet!!😂
Thellbro they are sewage 😂
what means 'kardashian' please?
One of the most recognised people on earth doing his own plumbing, a real Marty
Always one of my favorites from early westerns, to McHales Navy, to his movies.
I’ve been binging Ernest Borgnine’s bus videos lately
Just seem this June 2020. Ernest always seemed like such a great guy. Reminds me of my Father in law : Aways laughing and carrying on. What a privilege to see him with his son travelling the country.

Never thought one day I’d be watching Ernest Borgnine dumping out the shitter of his RV. The miracles of the internet age.
Lmao

Barely, it was 1995. #Navy boy knew what he doin.
A very amicable and down to earth man, he was one of the best from a great generation, sadly all but gone now 😢
I sure miss Ernest he was one of my all time favorite actors. Everything he was is turned into gold, he was so talented you knew if he was in it that it was going to be great!! Do you ALWAYS type EVERYTHING in 'UPPER' case letters? Have an education BEYOND grade school? How many fingers am I holding up?
Stop yelling
Great actor great gentleman here enjoying the simple life touring on his bus with his son Cris! Thanks for making and showing a Hollywood Legend as a human being ... not a star! Wished I’d met such a nice character.....best wishes to his family. Cheers 👏👍😉🏴
I miss those days. It seemed like a different time with normal people. Borgnine reminds so much of my Dad.
To have these memories with your dad must be wonderful especially to review your videos and remember all the jokes he must have said while not doing the filming. I'm glad he was able to spend this time of adventure and peace. He will always be one of my favorite male actors and I still get excited when I see one of his movies on the internet. That's a extremely nice buss
10th time I have watched all these! Worshipped this humble ICON!!!!!!
i love seeing Mr. Borgnine's Navy training show in the love of his land ship
Beautiful rig. And such a down to earth celebrity-emptying his own loo🇬🇧
Holy smokes! If I did the math correctly based on wiki and IMDB, Ernest was 95 when he shot this video. I hope I live to be that long and be that spry. Awesome. Thanks for all of the great entertainment Ernest. Rest In Peace.
We produced this in 1995 and he was 79 then.
Now that makes more sense. I was scratching my head wondering how in the world someone in their mid 90's looks to be in their 70's. Fountain of youth kinda stuff. George Burns. Thanks.
ErnestBorgnineBus Looks like it was filmed yesterday, outstanding quality. Very sorry for your dad's passing, lost my dad in 2011.
this was filmed 17 years before he died by the Discovery Channel. he was 78 at the time. and lived 17 more years . this video was put on UA-cam after he died as a tribute to Ernie.
It's Airwolf on wheels😁👍
What a down-to-Earth father and son. I truly enjoy watching these videos, I feel like I’m right there with them. Thank you for sharing with us!
WONDERFUL PERSON , SO FUN TO WATCH , ERNIE WILL SHOW EM ❤😂
Great actor yes, an even greater man.
Wow powerful, thank you ernie ♥️.
I love these videos. Thanks Chris. Family. Class, Courtesy

He'll always be the shack to me!
Cool Video. One thought, never use the water hose to clean out your sewer hose...contamination . LOL.
Nor Cal Dave Yeah, all you panicky Types need to visit your local RV dealer and look at how these systems work. Haha. IF YOU SAY SO. He had the end of the garden hose inside the end of the big drain hose. Not only that, but a check valve can fail and leak.
Mr. Borgnine is an American guy through and through. Worked in Hollywood but a true gentleman
I was such a fan . So enjoyed watching videos
I like that train horn.
Commander McHale emptying a shitter. Classic.
lol, good one
Great. Man. Was a favorite
His boys must miss him bad , I know . You fellows will see him again. 👍 God bless you in Christ I say.
Mr. Borgnine reminds me of my father (Navy as a teen) and then worked hard and retired with his boat (like a bus, kinda)
1995 Recorded Film 🎞️

I met him at the Chiller Theater convention in NJ what a nice man.
Thanks Ernie.
For 95 years old he is in amazing shape! I'm glad he was able to do things and be so active in his older years. I hope I can be so lucky.
@james crowe
He was 78 here
@james crowe
Yup, you called it first.
@james crowe
I would have loved to go on that journey with him and had some laughs and a few brews. The stories he could tell I bet were priceless.
His generation produced men that will never exist again. His personality and good natured disposition are a pleasure to behold in these videos.
A genuine great guy!

I still like The Poseidon Adventure it s just been a while since I watched that these videos are certainly interesting
Love this man
He seems like a lovely man and very kind. One note, not a good practice to allow your potable water hose to touch the waste water hose. Should carry a separate utility hose for cleaning / other than potable.
micglobal I was thinking the very same thing. Yuk
I sure miss seeing him in the movies, I hope you kept the coach in the family. I drive a 1955 Scenicruiser Grayhound conversion.
God bless you Ernest...
I really would’ve loved to have been able to shake his hand. What an every day kind of guy he was.
It's so interesting to see a big moviestar.like on vacation I miss my own dad. My da liked mountain cabin s here in nm. Fred was my dad . Same Era as Mr bargained. Values.
Beautiful bus. I like the color shceme
I like that he loves the engineering of the bus
I do believe that highway shot there at the end is Highway 6 just outside of Mitchelville, Ia.
I always like Mr. Bourgnine.
Savior the flavor because beautiful souls like this only come around once and a great while😞
He seemed to be such a down to earth and straight forward gentleman.
Ernie had everything automated! Smart!
9:02 Uh, did I miss something or did they "take on fresh water" from the source that says "non-potable water", i.e. only used for flushing tanks and drain hoses?

What a clean machine...
The water at the dump station is usually labled "not potable".
it was
June 13, 2019---Thanks for the video, not for who he was, but finding out how waste water is drained and fresh water. Looking at buying a used class A motorhome and there's so much I don't know. And now wondering how much water does the average motorhome carry.
A son to be proud of.
God helped Ernest live so long and healthy so his spirit could be enjoyed longer by us all....
Son, you’re a good son. Patient, kind to your ol man. I’ve been there, believe me.

What a real man!
A fun video to watch. However, it is a must to wear gloves when dealing with the tanks, especially the grey tank. Also, I cannot believe that his son actually put the hose to his mouth. What a no-no in the RVing world, especially since it is near the sewer connection and it is nondrinkable water.
What a great guy...long way from Mc ales navy
Septic of the Stars. I've been there.
Same hose?? Gloves maybe?? Suitable water source maybe??
That bus looks huge
He made some great movies especially bad day at black rock.but my favorite is THE WILD BUNCH.then the dirty dozen etc...
What kind of bus is that and what year?? Beautiful bus !
Wow! He used the same hose for cleaning and filling tanks??
Wish I could travel the country in my bus
Wonder what happened to the bus ?
Wow getting out all the poop or “duties of the house”!
surprise that bus wasnt named COMMANDER
