Seems that some of the 8 remaining Nazgul should have survived the eruption of Mt. Doom and lived unless their spirits were wholly tied to the Ring of Power. Unlike Sauron, Nazgul were completely whole without their rings, although enslaved by their rings. Functionally immortal like Gollum, they would have lived indefinitely on Arda.
