Hannibal pf carthage had this method against the Romans where his soldiers would hit the enemy as a ball not a block and envelope them. Urakai even with halberds had a long enough line to reach the flank if not rear of the flank dwarf units. Just a thought.
Love Uruk-hai, most badass orcs and surely one of the armies more disciplined, besides the elve ones.
That still only counts as one!

The dwarves seem to have the toughest time against the Uruk Hai with shields, less problems with the ones with just halberds.

When you're depicting two armies advancing on each other, it's best to have one army approaching from mostly one end of the screen, and the other from the other end. Otherwise, it tends to look like you have an army marching against its own troops. This is a basic rule of cinetmatography, followed for decades.

Battle is epic, no doubt. But it made me sad that dwarves just charged at the enemy. Infantry vs infantry. I'd expect at least some archers or crossbowmen. Good they had spears but what about pike squares? Also, Uruks could have some skirmishers, perhaps with javelins or staff slings.
All of this would add a possibility for some interesting tactics.

I have been doing historical fecing (14th century) for 10 years and have been in cca 20 "battles" where there zsally several hundred people. Regarding this video - it is not possible to fight so cramped. Maybe dwarves with axes and hammers could a bit,but Uruks with large swords hardly.

I just saw this video and I must say it’s really cool love it however The strategy the dwarves use was completely wrong When it enemy stretches out their lines to overwhelm you with superior numbers you pull in your lines to keep your formation tighter until you see your break in between the lines because usually what happens to left and right what other collapse faster or sometimes a Center Is weaker and usually what happens you let your foot nine fight but I have like a 4 or five extra soldiers ready to be push through a place that’s about to collapse Move your soldiers to take out their side
the point in line stretching was (personal thinking) that the light uruks were sent on their flanks and since all dwarves were heavier they would be able to flank the enemy because lighter uruks would defo not stand and hold their flanks
