not necessarily, considering that if the 10k Human and Elven army were able to prevent any sort of counterattack, taking the fort would be more than easy after a prolonged siege, wearing down the enemy's foodstuffs and draining their morale until they either gave up or starved to death
Depends on troops, fortification, morale, ressources... And sorties were pretty common. Some sieges were even won by heavily outnumbered defenders timing a sortie just right to take attakers in the rear while busy assaulting the main fortification. At face value, trying to delay the attackers in the construction of siege equipment was not a bad idea.

It's kinda interesting to watch in these videos how unless they're Elves, Dwarves, or the Men of Gondor they take far more casualties far earlier when they engage in melee. I don't know if this is a cinematic choice on part of the creator to show more casualties in the armies of Men, or if it's actually part of the game that the Soldiers of Gondor are just that much stronger than the other races of Men.
It would be nice if you indicate at which age the events took place, but i think this is a fantasy based on the LOTR, This Battle of Isengard never happened in the Second or Third Age, but it's was a very good simulation.

In reality 10k wouldn't be enough to take a fort from 8k. Leaving the fortified position was a dumb idea from the orky boys at start.
But it always took a 3-1 advantage for the Uruks to win a battle. It would have taken 15k to hold the wall with their skill and discipline.
