I absolutely Love everything you got 🥰🥰🥰 and I definitely would love to see your new watercolors swatched 😍 and if you have time your holbein pencils as well 😊
🤩 So many goodies!! The only color that interested me out of the Schminke Super Granulating paints was the Tundra Pink, which is PR233 (Potter's Pink) and PB29 (Ultramarine Blue). I didn't want to spend so much on a small tube of what is essentially just two of their single pigment paints mixed together, and I ran out of my Daniel Smith French Ultramarine so I bought a tube of Schminke's Potter's Pink and French Ultramarine and mixed them together on a glass slab with a metal palette knife until I had achieved the exact shade of the Tundra Pink. It worked wonderfully, dried down perfectly, and now I have two single pigment tubes as well as Tundra Pink! (When I need to fill my half pan again however, exactly matching the shade may be a bit difficult, but it'll be worth it.) 😋 I do need to note that on the Schminke info pamphlet, it says the mix is Potter's Pink and Ultramarine Finest, but that paint is not listed as granulating in their watercolor index, so I went with the French Ultramarine and it came out perfect. Also, on the pigment ingredient list they put PB29 first and PR233 second, though when actually mixing the hue I found that there was much more PR233 than PB29, so my mix is "PR233, PB29" rather than the other way around. (Perhaps it's a typo on the Schminke info? Not sure how they achieved a pink paint using more blue pigment than pink.) Lol 😅 Thanks for sharing your haul! It's absolutely amazing! 🙏😊
Thank you so much 🤗 💖 I know so expensive 😅 I made this purchase on a whim late at night - searching, and shopping at night is dangerous 😆 Thank you for sharing that information on the pigments 💖🤗
No I don't care to see any of them swatched out. I would however like to see him used in a painting. That way we can see how the paints interact with one another.
I have the Holbein 150 set, they are gorgeous pencils, I also love their watercolors.
