I saw that OHC conversion on Tuesday afternoon before Pete bought it. I bought three intake manifolds from the guy, including a triple carburetor setup for a GMC six. Decades worth of collecting, from the look of it. A good example of why you get there early!
It Was a Great day Friday at Carlisle ! Talked to Mike and Matt at their tent , Enjoyed the day , when I left I was Beat ! ! And four hours home back to Ohio ! 🙂 🙂 🙂
Great video once again . Never been to Carlisle or Hershey ... Bucket list items for me but it would be a trek across the border. One day!! Thanks for taking us along.
Haven't been to Carlisle in decades. Looks like it's still strong. We see it while driving to York, PA to the NSRA Nats east. You guys look like you have a blast. Thanks for sharing and great channel. Looking to get the new shirt. Greetings from Ohio
Thanks for the great video Mike, lots of cool stuff there, hope you guys had a fun weekend Hoping to get to Carlisle this Fall with my son, I haven't been down since 1996. 🇨🇦
Haven’t been to a spring meeting at Carlisle since 1992, maybe I get down there next year’s event. I did attend the All Truck National event in the summer of 2007 through 2012!
I was there all day Friday and was glad to see so many vendors and so many people... good to be back. Unfortunately there was not much in the way of mid 50s Ford parts or Y Block engine parts but there did seem to be a good showing of 30s/40s parts. That’s a good sign
try researching Slim Rutherford. Tried putting some info up but youtube keeps taking it down for some weird reason. Rare ohv conversion. Good luck and good score.
8:55 Funny how time changes our perspectives. How is it that what was once the squarest of square vehicles, a four door station wagon, now looks so cool?
Some time ago, I saw you use a spring-loaded center punch that made dents without a hammer. I had never known about these. This week I found two at an estate sale and snapped them up. A tool guy will never sell his tools, but his widow will. Watching your show has improved my tooling experience.
Nice video. Not a bad Carlisle this year. The Rutherford OHC made several UA-cam videos after your friend, Pete, bought it. Hope it's history is uncovered.
Just got the heads up about your channel from a buddy of mine. Been watching a bunch of videos lately. Just wanted to say I'm Digging the builds and enjoying the channel! Keep it up.
Hello Matt it was great chatting with you at the Model A car show today my son and I really enjoyed your company at lunch hope to see you guys soon enjoy the shop addition Neil and Len
Just came back from an afternoon of fun at my shop and watched your awesome video, thanks for sharing (I need a green Superior steering wheel) that just reminds me of all the stuff I can't afford but wish I had. I mean, I'd love to put a traditional rod together but I can't afford to finance someone else's retirement. Geez, I've turned old and cynical. 😆
I helped out a dealer at Carlisle from about 81 to 90, doesn't look like much has changed. Our spots were not far from yours, a couple rows closer to the middle. A couple of town kids, in their teens would come help us set up and tear down. I wonder if they still show up as buyer's
I went there for many years to buy/sell cars/trucks and buy/sell parts but stopped going a few years ago. It used to be "if you can't find it at Carlisle, it can't be found."
Way back before most of you guys were born I was racing dirt midgets at the Palmerston North Showgrounds in NZ, much to the distaste of my fellow Hot Rod Club members I might add! This guy turned up with an old midget he had for sale & it had a Rutherford OHC 4 banger & I think it was on a Mopar block but this was only 52 years ago! ;-) I was going to buy it but was up to my eyeballs in getting ready & when I stopped to take a breath he was gone. This was a full size midget that we call a sprint car these days, not the common 3/4 midget we have now & it was obviously a pro built pre-war US car with a short tail & wire wheels.
Great video guys! Looks like it was a good one. Makes me miss Carlisle and Hershey, I used to go every year with my father and my brother since I was young but haven't been since I moved to Florida. Matt- Mojo Speed Shop and Lounge
@@sergeantmasson3669 absolutely I have been going to that show since the 80s. Its gotten a bit more commercial over the past few years but every now and then so really cool stuff pops up. The one in the spring is pretty good.
@@Racemojo Same here. My first time, at spring Carlisle, was in 1980. Last time there was in 2018. I also did the Ford and Mopar shows a few times also.
Hi good morning Matt and Mike I came to Carlisle on Saturday to meet you guys and get a t shirts but didn't see you guys there had a Ford one barrel carburetor for you that was my uncles I am not going to use I guess I will try to meet you at fall Carlisle
Thankfully that '62 Corvette has the best of 1977 mods on it... With all the fresh trends of that time period they could have picked from, the outcome could have been disastrous for that car😅
ooohh, that caddy convertible !!!

Good morning from Painesville, Ohio. Wanted to be there but couldn't get time off from work. Maybe in the fall.
Man! You could pay me all day, everyday, to film & photograph swap meets. I love them! Far-far more interesting than car shows and doughnut meets!
Thanks for the video guys. Great save on the bunny. Good Karma for you.⛄️
Thanks for the great tour.
Thanks for the video from Carisle . Enjoyed it much since I couldnt be there.

That beige Ford Model A 2 dr sedan looks like the car that I did over back in the late 80's.

At one time, we had 4 spots "on the hill" for many years. Back then, we could keep filling the spots as we sold the vehicles that were in them.

Racemojo, have you ever been to the Daytona car show/swap meet during Thanksgiving weekend? I used to go to them when I lived in FL.

Going to explore Turlock this year or to much going on to get away?
We’ll try and make the big swap in January

Good work showing us lots of cool stuff. Thanks, looks like a good time.
Kinda over UA-cam music, to repetitive.
How much for the anvil thanks for sharing bro 😎
Ur spot was a guy I know spot last year. See you guys in Easton in a couple weeks
Yep Stan transferred the spaces to us!
how much were you looking to get for the anvil
I wish the video was twice as long
Cool meet! How much was the red 32 five window project?
I don't know what he wanted for it, but it was gone by Thursday.
He was asking 15k early in the week. As mentioned it did end up selling
Thank you Iron Trap Garage and Tacohead Mackenzie for the response.
any contact or price on the ford hot rod at the beginning of the video?
That sold on Wednesday
We went Wednesday. One of the best turnouts in years.
We agree!
Not everyone gets a wild hare at the swap meet...
Music is too loud.
Annoying too 🙄⛔️
If you're like me, you bought more than you sold.
I'll buy the humble I'll give you a dollar pound and we'll split the shipping
Dollar a pound and you pick it up.
Hmmmmmmmmmm
Lower your prices. Myself , I would not want to bring anything back.
This isn’t a fire sale or a going out of business sale.
To bad dad and I couldn't make it out there he definitely would've bought your Anvil @irontrapgarage
