This blows me away, I lost my brother John to heart failure August 2023, he loved these kind of places. We went to a Swap Meet in San Marcos, Texas just before he passed. His last project was a 1951 Ford 2 door sedan (boxcar). He didn't quite get it finished. He would rebuild these cars from the ground up. He was the best Auto Body man in Quincy, Illinois. I swear his finished product looked like it came off the showroom floor. He was that good. At 84 years old he lived a good life. Drag Racing, you name it. Anything to do with an automobile. I appreciate your You Tube channel. I thought of him as I watched this episode. 😢💔☮️ P.S. he was like a kid in a candy store when he went to these places, and had the money to spend too !
I DON;'T MIND IF YOU TALK / A MATTER A FACT, I LIKE WHEN YOU TALK BECAUSE YOU ARE A WORLD OF KNOWLEDGE WHEN IT COMES TO THIS STUFF / SO TALK AS MUCH AS YOU LIKE THAT'S HOW WE ALL LEARN SOMETHING NEW AND IT'S YOUR CHANEL SO THANK YOU FOR SHARING YOUR YEARS OF YOUR EXPERTISE IN THE VINTAGE AUTO PARTS
Love your videos, but you need to focus more when there's a vehicle for sale. So actually, the number and information could be seen better. Cause you pass by a nice 1961or63 ranchero Falcon I wasn't able to see anything .
Well when there are hundreds or sometimes thousands of vehicles there just isn't enough time on the day to show details on every vehicle we pass by.. I am more into giving a rough idea of what these swap meets are like if people are interested and may want to go in the future.
I've never been to the Carlise show and probably never will. What is sad to me is how the car corral has gotten so much smaller. As the creator mentioned it used to be much much larger but the greedy auction companies want more cars to run through their services to jack the prices up. I remember watching older videos where you could really get some great deals on cars there. No more. Great walk through anyhow.
What you brought is premium. But then you know that because simply comparing the amount of rust that somebody would find on the same parts that came from the eastern part of United States, they don't have to go and get it. It's like having free shipping because you brought it to the show. Thanks for the specs on the show because I knew it was big but I didn't know it was that HUGE.
I went there in the late 90s! Most of the cars back then were total renovations!, no deals back them ,most every vendor wanted to dollar until the last day when they didn't want to haul them back home!
The 52 Plymputh Cambridge has trim added from a Coronet - no trim around the top of the windshield gives it away . Glad to see it because I did the same thing to my 53 Cambridge business coupe . Now I don't feel so bad about drilling the holes .Thanks
THAT 80S SOMETHING AMC EAGLE FOR 3 THOUSAND DOLLARS LOOKED CLEAN FOR THAT YEAR AND I THINK IT'S A IN LINE 6 / STRAIGHT AXEL FRONT END 4X4 ON DEMAND BUT NO PHONE NUMBER / IT WOULD MAKE A GOOD WINTER CAR WHERE IT SNOWS A LOT
I don't know if you'll get this message or not but it was last fall Carlisle Swap meet you went to and it was your stuff I think or it was near your stuff new passed up a black scooter I was wondering what time it was and what kind of motor is in it who's next to a wooden sled
Didn't see even one 1958 Chevy Impala or any lesser models or even parts...ooh I have to take that back there was a faded red nomad on a trailer hood loose but you walked right on by it towards the end of the video....
If you check the video description there is a link to the Carlisle website for any info you need.. They are in Pennsylvania as is Hershey the other one we did a video on. Thanks for watching!
All this stuff goes up in value ,but if no one buys it ,it’s just junk , some dealers get to greedy and don’t sell much , better drop your price and sell items
IT WOULD BE NICE IF YOU COULD TAKE A CLOSE UP VIEW OF THE FOR SALE SING IN THE WINDOW OF THE CARS AND TRUCKS SO THAT WE COULD GET THE INFO AND NUMBER JUST ENCASE WE WOULD LIKE TO BUY THEM / THANKS AGAIN
If you are talking about stuff at our salvage yard, well that's easy. Not enough People come out to buy the stuff we have but lots of people need good solid parts to repair projects they already have. So we usually get two or three times as much in pieces than we can get complete.
The show has been slowly going down hill for the last 20 years. I remember when every spot was full and they had a waiting list. I stopped selling there 4 years ago. It became all lookers and a few buyers. I used to come back from there with an empty truck and trailer and $20,000 cash in my pocket.
Yes there are quite a few empty spots but I had my second best year ever so we were happy.. We have been going 40 years straight. Hershey also but I always sell better at Carlisle.
I think that's partially due to the fact that they now have a big cat auction across the street.. We also have a video of the auction on youtube if you want to watch that
This swap meet is 15 miles of isles if you don't go in the booths.. It takes 3 full days to walk.. We figured people wouldn't want to sit there and watch 3 days of video so we cut it down to the more interesting or older stuff..
Great video and an even greater haul! Some solid vintage pieces there! We hope to see you back next year!
Sure will! I have been going for 40 years now.. love it!
i like
always the best.
Haven't been to Carlise since 89 or so. Its so much fun. if you never been you gotta go.

WE WENT TO ROUNDTOP TX. ONE YEAR, WE WERE THERE THREE DAY'S, MIGHT HAVE SEEN HALF
Considering the high prices, I wonder what percent of the cars and trucks where actually sold?
Thanks for great job, Do you know when I can visit car swap meet in south Florida in February & March ?

Prices are extreme on the signs. WOW!!!
Yes signs are crazy lately

We did more of that on the Hershey video.. it's hard to do when there are thousands of things to look at as it would take weeks..
If you have a 1963 or 1964 Cadillac Fleetwood please let me know
Any 41 Ford Pickups?

looks like some of them truck cabs came from silas
Do you still have any old truck cabs
Yes we do
Did anyone catch the price he had on the 30/31 tudor cab i couldnt make it out?
What minute mark in the video?
was this in the state of Pennsylvania ???
Yes it was.. This is the Fall Meet but they have several other meets over the year in Carlisle,PA..
Can you bring something to ride thru the swap meet
@toddjohnson1639 I think you can but you would need to contact Carlisle Events to see what is required.

That one sold at Carlisle
@@DolloffAntiques ok. Thanks for getting back to me, much appreciated

A lot of high prices.
Prices are all over the board like most swap meets.
What state , and town is that place located in ?
Carlisle, PA
@@DolloffAntiques huge thumbs up 👍 for getting back with me I really appreciate it . Thanks.
No problem! Well worth the visit and you can catch Hershey also in the fall as the are only 30 miles apart
Alot of items at Carlisle meet is way overpriced.
A fool & his money is soon parted !!! Kevin Phoenix
Prices are all over the board there just like most swap meets.. We buy a lot there every year for resale and so well with the stuff.

I think that's partially due to the fact that they now have a big cat auction across the street.. We also have a video of the auction on youtube if you want to watch that
If it ain’t rusty, it is junk.
His mistake was trying to reason with them. Simple. jest tell people like this "F00k 0ff" and get on with your business.
You only go slow so that we can see on the things that you are interested in. The poor video.
