However, if you see your teammate get hurt from a predatory open ice hit and you don’t know if it was clean or not live, of COURSE you make the hitter answer the bell. Does so much for the bench and locker room. Anyone who ever played competitive hockey with full physicality allowed knows it. Don’t let other teams freely injure your guys, even through “clean hits”

Starting fights after clean hits should be called as a delay of game penalty. It's basically using the rules to the cheat the other team out of a scoring opportunity.

An Instigating penalty will be assessed which will give you the advantage you are asking for in a delay of game penalty. This is dumb. The guy isn't injured and it's a clean hit, but they still fight. I see it as the passers fault cuz my coach told us to watch out for who we're passing to. Don’t know much about his analytics, but to lay that many big hits and not have a rep for being dirty is an accomplishment. Found a way to stay relevant in a league that gets faster and more skilled than him every year

Ice awareness has been so bad. If you see a guy lining you up, let the pass go. Don't touch the puck. If they hit you, it could be a 5 minute major or even a game misconduct! That's ice awareness and it's been lacking.
