- You're a professional, a perfectionist, a phlebotomist! You draw blood samples from patients that provide lab results upon which physicians base their medical decision about the care of their patients. This video is a tribute to phlebotomists everywhere, the most underestimated professional in healthcare.

I am a phlebotomist with over 24 years experience. I have watched many phlebotomy videos this is the best one I have seen out of many. Thank you for keeping it real!!!!!!
Cynthia, thank you so much! Glad you liked it.
I am phlebotomist and I love it 💉
Thank you im really inspired😍
Thank you sir. You are great teacher. More video please about phlebotomist.
You are very welcome! We'll keep singing your praises!
low salary and without phlebotomist the health care system can not not function? how is this possible.. thank you the video is motivated care about patients as priority
I made the mistake of enrolling in an online class from another state. Now I can't get any facility near me to allow me to do my blood draws to complete my program. If you're not part of their program, no one wants to help you. Amer. Red Cross wouldn't help me cause they have their own program. Hospitals have their own programs or go to nearby colleges that have programs. No one seems to want to deal with someone in an outside, online program.
That's a sad situation, Tammy. We don't think any school should be offering online training without arranging clinical rotations for their students. But without regulations, schools can continue to do this kind of disservice to those who plunk down their hard-earned money.
I'm a Mobile Phlebotomist and I absolutely love it 100%. 😀
Glad you did, Alicia! Mobile phlebotomists rock, too!
Dear Dennis, I do admire your work, your passion and the mission you decided to take upon many years ago to improve the way blood is drawn and managed in a reliable and responsible manner. I love this video and many others you have produced, but I can not help it think, why is it that the medical world under estimates our profession?. We are an important part of the medical system, yet we are the lowest paid medical professional. How does that work? Why phlebotomists' salaries have not increased to provide a decent earning and keep up with inflation? Thank you
Dear Alcelyn, thank you for the kind words. I am humbled by your sentiments and greatly appreciate them. There are many contributing factors that go into low phlebotomist salaries. The lack of a representative (membership) association to promote the profession, the deceptively simple skill required to draw blood (it looks far easier than it is!), the public misperception of the risks involved when performed improperly, and the unprofessional nature of some phlebotomists that reflect on the entire profession are just some of them. We all must simply continue to heighten awareness of the important role we play in healthcare, and require greater professionalism from those who work along side us. Keep setting great examples, Alcelyn, and proving you're worth a greater investment than you're getting now. It's a long road, but don't give up. Your patients are lucky to have you.
@@centerforphlebotomyeducati4509 Dear Dennis,
Thank you for your reply and I do understand your explanations.
YES!!! And we are not paid what we are worth! It's frustrating! But I do love what I do! There is no better or more rewarding compliment than a patient saying "I didn't even feel that"!! I love my patients!
You are correct on all counts, Tanya! Your rewards should be of this earth, but I know your satisfaction and joy in what you do is priceless! Your patients are lucky to have you.
This video touches me so very deeply. I am a phlebotomy instructor and on the last day of school. I have my students watch this. During the course I can teach how to obtain quality samples, the special handling of specimens, and the ethics involved with the vast responsibility of a phlebotomist. The one thing that I can’t teach, it has to come from within is the heart to care for others. This video truly outlines the care taken and the specialty of our field.
Thanks a lot.
I love this!!!!! We get no love
I'll bet your patients love you, Monroe! You have a lot of people who respect what you do. You just need more of them where you work!
Thank u..I love what I do 💜
Love this!
Perfect!!!
