We didn't get coats in highschool lab, we had plastic apron things. I had to buy a lab coat for college science labs, and the rules have gotten stricter as I've progressed, not looser. But they don't let you play with anything dangerous or exciting in high school, like boiling nitric acid or class 2 microorganisms.
Everytime I watch these folk' do their think/thing.....and I sing along, my kids are right along with it wife thinks I am strange........ but hey, that's okay.
