@@venkatr3987 I know. I visit relatives in TN often. At least people living in cold regions won't have to deal with damn ants! They are fucking everywhere in tropical weather.
@UpNorth I think many people from warmer countries don’t realize that the nights at snowy places are not that dark at all. I really like the times when it is snowing and the nights are getting much brighter when the snow is reflecting the electric lights.
Here in Ohio, USA we don’t get a lot of sun in the winter. A lot of people I know do actually get depressed around this time of year due to the lack of sunlight. I know a few of them have something called a SAD lamp the gives off a bright light similar to the sun. Supposedly it tricks the brain into thinking there’s sunshine and it helps them feel a little better. From what I’ve heard it actually does work for some

@@YachtyBurner It's quite a bit colder in east Germany and of course in the Alps. Dresden is in the east, so it makes sense. In the west and north you'll rarely get -10 C or colder. Especially now with climate change winters are getting milder. I'm 36 and in my childhood in the west -10 C was common at least for a few days or weeks each winter. Now -10 C is rare in the west. Actually we rarely get snow at all anymore, it's mostly 5 - 10 C 'November weather' throughout the winter.
Wow! I really enjoyed all the videos that show an amazing life so different than New Jersey USA, Thank you for providing a glimpse into a very interesting lifestyle. Please keep the videos coming.
My grandparents lived like this in the northern part of Sweden, and I could take part of that to some extent. The temperatures are not as low as - 50 or - 70 degrees celsius in northern Sweden. But I have experience very much cold/cool climate and done the military service in sub Arctic climate (above the Arctic circle), in a special unit. We were sleeping under the sky at winter, and many other types of survival training, besides guerilla warfare training. So I think I am very adapted to these type of living, but I also realise that the low temperatures are extreme in Yakutia. However, a small positive thing is that the moisture decrease with lower temperatures, so this fact contribute to a relatively warmer feeling, because moisture can cool the skin quicker if the ambient temperature is below the skins temperature, otherwise it is the opposite around. Thanks for this video! 🙂 And I love to watch similar videos like this one, it feels like home. ☀️❄️🇸🇪
Что значит в северной части Швеции?! 🤔 Какая разница север или юг. При такой маленькой територии. Разве погода на соседней улице может быть сильно холоднее?

Same for your Swedish bros here. The coldest I've ever experienced in my life is -30. Winters these days, you're lucky if it goes below -15. That's the temp your nosehairs start freezing when you breathe. So yeah, imagine what -70 would be like. Hell even -40 sounds unreal to me.
it's not as cold in Poland where I live as in Finland or Sweden but cold enough. sometimes there are some weeks with temperatures like that too. i think that after certain point it's only a number. like when it's 5 and falls to -8 it's a major change, it was acceptable and now it's freezing. but when it's already freezing then it doesn't make much difference if it's -25 or -35. probably the same with -50 or -60. you just probably have to pee fast as the pee might freeze solid inside your penis.

I really enjoy the brief biographical vlogs of the people in the community. Life is quite rugged. Thank you!
coldest I've experienced is -55 C plus the wind chill, in the Arctic Circle in the Northwest territories for an infantry exercise. We lived in tents for two weeks with only a small stove for heat. Our outhouse was a partially constructed igloo shell. windy as hell, no way to keep warm... it was quite an adventure!
Now I live in northern Saskatchewan where it has already dropped to -35 C and winter has barely begun
Respect everyone. Respect. Kudos to you Kiun B for sharing this video.

It's quite a bit colder in east Germany and of course in the Alps.

And I love to watch similar videos like this one, it feels like home. ☀️❄️🇸🇪

Thanks for this especially interesting look at life outside the city context of Yakutsk.
