@@Viewer-ld5rc Not possessing any skill or knowledge with the subject, I'll try explaining. The shots are clear; saturation is more on the natural side, with I'm imagining some manipulation of colors; I usually detest drone shots, though here, it leaves out the ascension shots and helps make me feel like I'm tagging along with their day instead of only feeling like a viewer. I am in awe of how cohesive the filming helps with immersion in the scenes, it's done in a respectful yet engaging way. There's a contentment with sense of optimism that comes through the lens. Its high production quality captures what's happening in an authentic way, and takes what could be a very simple scene in a very simple story, yet it imbues fascination through the artful and playful way, while showing off great technical skill. The husband can run a farm, wife can work, both tend to the farm, raise a family, send a kid to university, and even has an artistic hobby.... they're both going to live to be about 100.
It's true. This was the life of my late grandparents in the mountain Zvijezda, mountain range in Southeastern Europe called Dinarides or Dinaric Alps. My grandfather worked as a security guard at the mine nearby he walked for ten kilometres before the bus came to the village, and took care of 100 sheeps, dozen of cows and bulls every day. They did have running water and the lowest temperature were minus 30 degrees but everything else was the same. They both lived to be almost 90 years old, they would probably lived longer though if the civil war hadn't started in ex Yugoslavia and they had to escape their village.
Unfortunately they don't show you their vodka consumption. These people don't live that long. Too cold, too much work and too much vodka. Okinawa is where people live long.

-------- Greetings from Scotland! Ahh! This reminds me of life on the farm when I was young! My Grandmother always hand milked the cows and I would stand beside her watching, sometimes I'd ask for a drink of the milk so she would say "Open your mouth wide!" Then she would squirt the milk directly into my mouth! Nothing tastes quite like that! It's not like milk you warm up afterwards, it has much more taste! In those days farm life was very different! Practically everything we ate was made right there on the farm. Everything had a use, just as you see here, nothing goes to waste or is thrown out! True organic farming the natural way! It was the same for our horses (Welsh mountain ponies) who only came down from the hills when the weather was harsh. I remember feeding them with carrots and one nipped my finger OUCH! 😊 Great memories of a life from a different time. What a wonderful life! Thank you again Kiun! Great video of life in your amazing
The health benefits of living such a life must be tremendous. We here in the USA are slowly being killed by bad food, bad water, pollution, and radiation. Good for you all.
And, so important, no exercise. They are so healthy and robust because they are constantly moving all day. In America, the majority of people get practically no exercise. Not to mention smoking and drinking. 🇺🇸
i agree..they have nice retirement with all effed up knees from all that squatting, heavy lifting and walking..and having fingers with osteoarthritis from all that milking which is really hard...all that for few hundred litres of milk per day production when in western world with western tech such as milking machine, automated waste disposal system, high quality nutrition for the cows can do multiple times of that milk amount.. not to mention save the workers from most of physical labour and save their bodies for longer life spam
I love how families work closely together, in tandem as a team. As a marriage should be. Everyone has their role and there's no arguments or resentment attached to it because everyone's role is critical to the family's survival. This is how humans live the happiest. Love to all the families featured on the channel!
Not everyone is religious and you should respect that. These folk surviving tough conditions likely pray to no deity. They don't need religious guidance to tell them to work hard and love one another.
It is so much fun seeing life in Yakutsk. All of my friends and I would play "RISK" as teenagers and we had to learn how to pronounce Yakutsk, which is completely different sounding from anything we were used to as Americans. @@judy9123That is true. Not all can adapt to this kind of life. It is not for everybody. For me, I cannot live in such a place. I love my sunny hot weather. @@lamedada Part of the human predicament - get bored with what you know- and look for a new experience. It's good your husband sees your rational logic- enjoy and appreciate all that you have right in front of you. We all need to look within to find our peace- instead of looking outward. 🌞
I’m also a farmer in the US. Where we live there are 4 seasons. I at times find winter harsh (which it really isn’t) summers are full of bugs, storms, heat etc…however after watching the life of Siberia. Our temperatures aren’t so bad🤎😊
@Jiraiya Sennin i don't think they meant it like that- i think they meant that the winters in Siberia are 10x harsher than the winters where they live and compared to Siberia's winters, their winters aren't that bad
In western europe where temps can reach -20 (not often and not for long), up to around 1960s the farmers used to live above the animals especially in upland areas wher it was colder. The house was above the stable/barn. Most of the heat loss from the animals rose to the house. Which also had a fire. Alot of the time the stable was slightly build into a hill or mound so that most of it was surrounded by an earthbank except for the barn door. This greatly reduced heat loss.
your videos are proper professional! and yet still charming and friendly :) many thanks also to the people who have so kindly opened their lives to you and allowed us to catch a glimpse of life in Yakutia
@excellseeus-streamsandclip3562 this is such a rude comment. And in any case: Merriam-Webster defines a ranch as a “large farm for raising horses, beef cattle, or sheep,” or “a farm or area devoted to a particular specialty.” And a synonym for ranch is “dairy farm”. So they are farmers - they’re dairy farmers. Hope this helps! ✌️
"You have everything, meat, milk, sour cream." Such an informative statement on many levels. According to western nutrition experts the Yakutians should all be obese, diabetic and riddled with heart disease & yet this couple is working harder than 99% of us in the west and look perfectly healthy and happy. There's a lot to learn here.
Why every time I watch this channel videos, my eyes always well with tears. Every simple joy, hard work and story about the life of Yakutsk touched my heart
I really feel so happy to see you guys showing your place to us , i was often wondering about how you guys live at those freezing cold places , thanks to let us know it
It's a gem that we get to view from our living room! Otherwise, I certainly would be ignorant about Yakutian lifestyle and their survival in extreme cold.
Absolutely love it! Back in 1986, I was just 7 years old we flew several times from Berlin to Moscow and on to Irkutsk to Ulan Bator and on the way back to Yakutsk back to Moscow and Berlin on Aeroflot. From what I remember the flights where amazing. When we landed in Yakutsk the runway was frozen and the airport back then was just a single building and you could walk around on the Airport like it was a field. I remember that all the locals had chickens and a couple had goats on the aircraft. Great and unforgettable memories ❤️ Everyone that I have ever met in the Soviet Union was extremely hard working and very friendly people.
I also remember those times although I have never been to Yakutiya but people used to board Aeroflot with goats, watermelons and what not. People in the west will never understand but they lived happily and most importantly the whole village was considered a family in which everybody helped each other. When they slaughtered a pig, meat was distributed to everyone in the village and in that way everybody had fresh meat to eat everyday.
This is the most fascinating documentary I've seen before on UA-cam If more people were like these amazing parents and their children then the world would be a far better and safer place to live . Take note
More and more families in North America are "going back to their roots" and moving to large plots of lands, working the land, raising cattle, and homeschooling or micro-schooling their kids. I hope this trend continues - it would sure piss off the government, lol

I suppose bc it all comes together and makes me feel like I'm sitting around a campfire, listening to the stories of our ancestors, removing the sense of "otherness" and disconnect sometimes experienced when watching these types of videos. Like I'm home.

Holy crap. I'm in California in the US. I get bothered by 30F. I can't imagine just living naturally in sub 0 temps.
The best lesson I take from these people is how they live in harmony with their environment.
How a normal family should be, unlike the western society, where the rolls are switched.

Greetings from Scotland! Great video of life in your amazing

i agree..they have nice retirement with all effed up knees from all that squatting, heavy lifting and walking..and having fingers with osteoarthritis from all that milking which is really hard...all that for few hundred litres of milk per day production when in western world with western tech such as milking machine, automated waste disposal system, high quality nutrition for the cows can do multiple times of that milk amount.. not to mention save the workers from most of physical labour and save their bodies for longer life spam
I hope nothing bad ever happens to these people. They must endure. They're extraordinary.

SOVIET UNION👹
I also remember those times although I have never been to Yakutiya but people used to board Aeroflot with goats, watermelons and what not. People in the west will never understand but they lived happily and most importantly the whole village was considered a family in which everybody helped each other. When they slaughtered a pig, meat was distributed to everyone in the village and in that way everybody had fresh meat to eat everyday.

@@theconfusingwords yeah! India is full of culture, happiness and love. I also respect USA and dreaming of coming there one day! Los Angeles especially 🔥☺️ Hope you're well there. I saw some news, which shows there is so much cold... In which city do you live?
