Omg! I can’t believe someone donated urns!! That would creep me out also. I was going to say pop the candlesticks in the freezer for about 30-45 minutes and the wax will pop right off. I loved how the “You’ve got Mail” box turned out. It looked so much better. Thanks Yvonne

Oh my word....URNS?! Oh wow!!! I would've done the same thing. I can't believe someone donated those. Had to have been a clean out of someone's house. So sad!! You did the right thing.
We decorate with cotton down here in the south ALL THE TIME!!! I suppose it's because the farms around here grow cotton and peanuts!! 😀

Hi Yvonne. I live in Arizona in farm country and growing cotton is big business so I love cotton. All year round. Great makeovers as usual. Those urns didnt look like any I have ever seen. Wow. It's ok. Don't fear death or the dead. It could of been a pet too. But too distasteful to repurpose even for me. Hugs
We laughed so hard about the urns,. I don't know why but it hit our funny bone. I use to work at a cemetery years ago so have a warped sense of humor. It is sad that someone donated them. I love the wood bowl!

Praying your smell comes back ! I taste a metal taste and my husband hears crickets every since we had Covid over a year ago for us too! Love that wooden bowl . You have the best hauls.

I have a hum all the time now. I had Covid sept 20. Lost smell for 6 months, never connected the hum with stupid Covid. Wow.
Our doctor said this was very common with all past Covid patients .the first strain .

Oh. Em. Gee. URNS?!?! 😣 I mean, really?! 🤦🏻♀️ ESPECIALLY with some ashes still left in it!! 🫣 It kinda makes me giggle a little too tho. 🤭
Anyways….whew….so you asked if anyone still decorates with cotton…yes! 🙋🏻♀️I do! In fact, I even have some that I picked myself. 🙂 Right after they harvest it, there’s usually loads of it still on the steams that they didn’t get to on the edges of the fields. 😁
So my favorite that you remade is a cross between the “You’ve got mail” and the bunnies. I know there wasn’t much done to them but what you did do was just the perfect thing they needed!! Fabulous job!! 👏🏻 Thanks for sharing your video with us!! 🤍🤗

A nurse friend of mine asked me to keep an eye out for a metal trolley on wheels for her plants, and within a couple of days i saw one on a council cleanup painted green. She was tickled pink by her mortuary trolley!
I got mine from my brother who works maintenance at our local hospital.. they were just going to throw them away🫤
Those rusty stars on the wreath shutter though! Love! Sorry about the urns, that wouldve really freaked me out too.

We had Covid in September last year. We still don’t have our smell back. And our taste is weird lol. Like it don’t taste like I remember. Loved all of these. I’d love to find a bunch of candle sticks lol

Thank you for sharing… one idea, when sharing your items on UA-cam & they were items you were going to go the eBay route with, check to see if your UA-cam fans may be interested. They can pay you & once payment is cleared you ship it out then you need not pay eBay fees & charge less for your items. Works well! 😃
Another stellar video!!! Love all of your makeovers especially with perfecting the crackle paint. I do have a question for you. Have you ever painted rubber? I bought some children’s rain boots that I wanted to put on my front porch as a decoration, but I needed to paint them. Welllll, I’ve tried several different things, but they are still “sticky “! Is there something I should have done at the very beginning, or something I need to do to seal them??? I’m at a loss! 🥴
I have to tell you that I was dying laughing... well maybe I shouldn’t say “dying” ... with the urns!!!! As soon as you turned the one over I was like ohhhhh crap! I think you handled it just fine! It certainly gives you a humerus story to talk about for years to come!!!
Maybe coat them with shellac.. give them a good cleaning first.. and go from there. I think spray paint after that would be the best option.. it shouldn’t crack as much

😂😂😂 I would have totally FREAKED out as well!!! Whoever got rid of those had no idea they still had ashes in them. Thanks cut sharing that because we all have weird things happen but we don’t always share. I’m glad I am not alone in this.

BLUE BIrd of Happiness Those bluebirds were made at a little town in Arkansas just south of Fayetteville my husband and I toured it five or six years ago. They have a glassblowing place where you could watch the blowers do their magic! They also had pottery classes there in another building. They make the birds in other colors pink green and white are the ones I have seen. They went out of business last year when natural gas got so expensive here (Oklahoma). I have seven of their little blue birds of Happiness! They were under &10 or $20 to purchase one so you may see them getting a little pricier in the future. Love your video! I’ve been watching since 2021.

Anyway, another great haul and makeover. Loving the crackle effect you used on some of the items and of course the baking soda technique. My fav this go ‘round is the shutter. I just love the crackle effect and the wreath with the stars - so awesome! My second fave is the ‘you’ve got mail’ holder. It looks amazing painted black! That was a great idea!

Oh Yvonne…what a horrible thing to go through! And what a crappy thing to do to a loved one..,pass off their urn as a candle holder! You and your daughter handled that well😊. Well anyway…your treasures turned out very cute…love that crackle affect! 🥰
I occasionally have a garage sale. I always sell EVERYTHING. Two things: First, you have to not care about the item anymore. Secondly, as your day progresses, start putting some good things and not good things in small, medium and large boxes. Sell by the box. Once afternoon has hit, boxes are as is. No cherry picking from boxes. Set your price, $5, $7 per box with. 4-5 things in them and you get rid of it all. Once gone..you never remember what you sold but you do get rid of it that way.
I like those brown Temptation dishes! Ive never seen that color before. The others that ive seen are decorated in very busy paint.
I'm binging on you right now. If you still have limited smell, please double check your smoke alarms if you can not smell smoke.
Really liked what you did with the shutter. Thought some of your finds were really great , like the petite candle holders, the silly duck and the cow butter dish. Missed seeing Glenn this time.
I know it might’ve freaked you out a little bit about the urns however, those are more valuable than you might think. They appear to be a perfect size for a beloved pet and even have a way to burn a candle for said beloved pet while you grieve. I would’ve kept them, cleaned them up, and sold them, but not in your booth. Lol

That fish looks a bit big for the side of a kitchen sink...and because it has slits at the sides of its mouth, I'm wondering if it might be for a ball of yarn, when someone is knitting... this idea just came to me, so not sure.

You can try melting it, but do it on a test piece to see if it changes it in any way
