I have watched this video multiple times and am now going to give it a shot on my furniture. I have pine living room furniture that has lived many lives… orange pine, black, white, and now black again. I think this decoupage treatment will look fabulous for my basement area. Thank you for the tutorial. Wish me luck.
Dear Yvonne, l think this was hands down the best “Furniture Up-Cycle” video you and Chris have ever done! (So far!) I was a little worried about that dresser’s top drawer, with the decoupage... However, it looks fabulous. Many years (1981) ago my Aunt gave me and my Late Husband an old “Bureau” when we got married. It has very similar detailing like that... I filled it in with Wood Putty and then sanded it before I painted it. I wanted to decoupage some rather girlie flowers the the dresser... But my husband was making his it’s my dresser too face. 🙄 So, decoupaged the flowers on the sides of the drawers. You could only see it when you opened the drawers. I call that a compromise. 😂🤣😂
Omg. In love with everything!!! I would buy them all!!!! Absolutely stunning. Your work just gets bette and better all the time. I’d be broke if I lived near you. I’d shop your booths daily lol 🤗🤗🤗
OMG! I love the chest of drawers and the entry table. I just love how the decoupage paper blends in with the piece when you add the antiquing wax, gorgeous! xx
What beautiful pieces you all have created out of thrift store finds! No one would ever believe what you started with. What a wonderful grouping you have put together. I enjoyed watching this so much. My favorite was those first 2 tables with the V-shaped holders on the bottom. Such a beautiful display of your Bibles! Thanks for sharing
I’m pretty sure the wooden candle sticks with ringed sections are actually napkin rings. If you unscrew the top the rings come off individually to become a dual use candle holder/ napkin rings!
I was searching through the comments to see if someone has already told her that. I have that same set (in my booth) and discovered they were napkin rings by mistake. LOL)
I keep a small scrubbie on my sink and have to scrub the paint off after each paint job. I am such a sloppy painter!! You have the best taste in papers.
Every time I think I've seen you make my favorite project, a new favorite comes along. The furniture using that black milk paint, especially the pieces with the decoupage, are absolutely stunning.
Loved that tall dresser with all the drawers! The decoupage paper is looking really nice in the black! Can’t believe you are cranking out so many pieces!! Love all of them❤️
I love those tables but I think you are NOT charging enough for them. I would so pay $50 a piece for any one of them. But of course, I live in California where everything is soooo darn expensive. lol.
Stunning!! I love each one of them, but I have to say that my absolute favorites are the two matching tables with the drawers and the decoupage paper! They are beautiful!!
My favorites are the little side tables with bookshelves. I loved those before you did a thing to them, but you definitely brought them to the next level. Great job!
Oh my goodness! EVERYTHING is absolutely stunning!!! I love the final look the antiquing wax gives. Also the decoupage papers you used are like they were meant to be for each piece. You have such a good eye for this sort of thing. The dresser is exactly like my dresser and I’m going to be painting it black soon so now I know what it will look like. I can’t believe you found my exact dresser! It might be my favorite. IDK they are all just so great. This is one of my favorite videos! I can’t get enough of your videos!!
As also everything turned out beautiful. You always seem to know what to do with a piece and turn it into something amazing. My favorite is the dresser. Love it. Great job on everything.
The color paint is stunning. Not all blacks are equal, and I love the look of this one. I also think it’s a fun change for you to add so much decoupage in furniture.
Oh my goodness! All 0f those pieces turned out beautiful. I have a few pieces I need to get busy on and get repainted myself. You do such beautiful work. Great job!!
All beautiful projects!!!! I love your “God-wink Moments”. More of us should keep ourselves open for them instead of over thinking everything. Keep doing what you are doing.😉
Phenomenal, Yvonne! My fave is the "National Mfg Co" single table, but they are all wonderful. Good luck at the open house weekend. I hope your holiday kick-off is a big success.
a friend replaced her mattress and took the old one apart. she had over 700 springs in a queen size. so far with them she has done door wreaths, christmas trees and the cutest snowman ever.. so before you throw your old mattress and springs out, take out the springs
Lol Yvonne, crafters don't have clean hands, mine always have paint, glue, or stain all the time. Screws up a good manicure, lol, but all is good!!! We are artists!!!!
Wow!! 👏 Absolutely gorgeous pieces. You have outdone yourselves and in 2 days.... A quick question, what is the cleaning process after the antique wax? For the purchaser I mean. Should it be waxed again in the future? Trusting the open market days go extremely well! 🙏
Everything is gorgeous! I was so excited to see the end tables with the book rack in the center. That is exactly what I have been looking for. Wish I lived near you! At least I know they do exist and I can keep on the lookout for something similar. The details on the candlesticks sure pops after you painted and distressed them.
So beautiful! You inspired me and I started to refinish a set of end tables in black earlier today and then I see your video and everything is black! I love it!
That little wavy sofa table is a Leick, I bought one a year or so ago for $130 bc I needed a small table -how funny to see it here and you got it for $5.
I have to agree the dresser was my fave but all turned out lovely. Hope you have great success with your open house. I really enjoyed this video and was very interested in your experience with the Rustoleum milk paint. Thanks for the review.
Beautiful results Yvonne and Chris 👌👍 so hard to choose as I love the plain black antiqued pieces as well as the very nice decoupage paper ones 😍😍😍 Well done, I'm sure everything sell very quickly 😀
Not sure if y'all will see this...I've been catching up on your videos. Sometimes I don't see your vision until the end product & then it's like WOW! Really beautiful pieces. The distressed black is gorgeous! I've been learning so much from you. Thank you. 😊
Beautiful, again, all of it! I wish I lived closer to you. My favourite piece was the black table with large letters. Such speed, such a talent.... You pronounce the French découpage very well, thank you. Armelle
Over the moon with the milk paint and the decoupage paper was fantastic. If I lived in your area I would have bought most of it. I love your channel. I love that you work so well with your husband, and the beautiful job he does.
