Great video! I had a paper jam issue on my HP Envy 4520. I finally found the torn piece of paper, but now I can't put Humpty Dumpty back together again. The problem includes the paper path cover (I can't get it to snap in place so the scanner cover will close), the thing with the white sprocket roller on it, and a little plastic curved piece that I believe has something to do with double-sided printing. I hope this makes sense since my technical terms are a bit lacking. Thank you!

Hi, this video was of great help. I had the printer a few days and all was fine baring the odd paper jam. However, today I spent 2 hours trying to print two pieces of paper. Moved my printer off the carpet, placing it on a hard flat piece of wood. I did this after you mentioning placement on a flat surface - this made the feed run smoothly. No printer jams since. I was about to return my printer to the store for a refund. THANKS. (I bet placement issues will have caught others out too or may be likely to.)
Andy Dodds That's great to hear! And thank you for pointing out that the printer needs to be on a hard flat surface for other people who also own this printer.
excellent video, it might help others if all the printers covered is this video where put in the Header description. + how long/many pages approx should rollers be cleaned to keep it in tiptop condition? P.S. I think that the "instant ink" is great and thoroughly recommend it 5 *****

KritzkriegKane Try to be gentle when removing the paper. When you have it out check the paper for any missing pieces and be sure to find them as they will only cause another paper jam.
I wish this helped me more. But my problem looks like its the little Wheels/Rollers in front of all that that is eating the leading edge of the paper on the return trip to print the other side. I have only had this printer for a few months I think and it is already down to printing only one side of one page before the paper jams up in the front. I looked around and it really does seem to be the front ones . But I didn't see anything about what to do about them in this video. Is there a video for this problem? Please help I really can't deal with anymore tech stuff giving me crap ... If one more device acts up on me I think I will have a screaming fit!! LOL
Chameleon091 You can use distilled water to moisten a q-tip and use it to clean the rollers thoroughly. You will need to let them air dry before trying to printer. This can happen in dusty environments. You may want to look into a printer cover to protect it from dust.
Should there be a whiteish greasy film on the rollers and the bar there? Is it some kind of lubricant for the ink carriage? Can I clean it off or is it needed there? I don't think it is a dust issue since I keep it covered all the time trying to prevent the cat from getting up on it..lol Btw, the video doesn't show cleaning where I am talking about. It only shows the back area not the little rollers up front. That's why I didn't think cleaning would help with my problem. LOL Thanks for replying and I hope we figure it out since I really can't keep a device that isn't working right and I hate to return it and start my search all over again...grrr...lol

Tell me why I just bought this printer and it wont let us get passed the alignment stage. It jams everytime, folding the corners of the page as it feeds. Why is that? I wiped the rollers already and removed all the jammed pieces
Maybe the tray that comes out for the paper isn't pushed in all the way. Try pulling it out as far as it can go, checking under the printer for anything stuck, then push it back in all the way. You can look at the bottom of the printer while doing it, to make sure it closes.

This occurred before I even tried to print anything. I have removed all doors and looked at all rollers. I have disconnected and restarted and still error. Any suggestions would be great. This is beyond frustrating.
If you haven't already, try following this document: HP OfficeJet Pro 6900 Printers - A 'Paper Jam' Error Displays - ( ow.ly/ccun304i2hI ). It is quite likely that either a bit of packing material or has fallen into something causing the error, or a piece of tape is still left somewhere.
Please, I just got a new HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 4515. I try to set it up but I didn't turn the printer on after taking off all the tapes out of it. I try to remove the cartridges but only the coloured cartridge is able to come out while the black cartridge is stuck. Help please

THANKS! I had to clean the rollers!
Glad to hear it was helpful. If you find that the rollers need to be often cleaned, check the quality of the paper you are using. Cheaper paper is more likely to leave more residue behind.
Thank you, really helpful

Can we load a paper of 240 GSM in it?? Because thin paper is feeding in very easily but my photo printing paper for inkjet which is of 240gsm goes a little in and then get jammed...
+Blaze storm 904 Paper jams can be real or false. The printer might report a paper jam even when there is no jammed paper. The steps in the following document apply to both real and false paper jams: hp.care/2qKNUAo
HP Printer Support the problem is that it goes in and then it doesn't roll so that it could be taken for printing, it's like it isn't able to take in that paper or unable roll it.when I put a thin paper it easily feeds and print the paper.
+Blaze storm 904 Please refer Paper-handling specifications from this document to know about the supported paper sizes for your printer: hp.care/2uUD2Sp
HP Printer Support well my paper size is fine lower than the limit. So still it doesn't work then what should I do? Replace the part of that area? And thanks for giving all answers

I removed the duplexer path cover to clear a paper jam. Now I can't replace it or the cover with the pinch tabs. I've tried for days. Hours on end. I'm so frustrated. Can't use my Envy all in one. Please! Can anyone help me?
+Joan Collins The duplexer path cover is not designed to be removed, only raised into an upright position. If you meant the paper path cover, then please review the "A 'Paper Jam' Error Displays on the HP ENVY 4500 e-All-in-One and HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 3540 e-All-in-One Printer Series" document ( ow.ly/4nfCyF ) to ensure that there is nothing that has been missed.
