    Thank you for this video and the calm vocal/photo instructions. I was able to clear what I considered to be a severe jam by following these instructions causing me to learn more than I ever knew about this printer.

    March 14, 2023 - I didn't have any paper jammed but the Paper Jam message persisted - but after moving the ink cartrides to the left and right, the message disappeared, but you helped me to go through the steps - I don't know what the actual problem was, but I can print now. thanks

    using the tool to clean the ink cardridge actualy fixed it for me
    the black ink was to old or empty it only printed in colour

    I'm having issues with the 6x4 photo paper jamming every other photo. The paper measures exactly 6 inches by 4 inches and seems a few mm to big for the guide tray it sits it. Should the paper be exactly 150 by 100 as opposed to 152 by 102?

    HP Envy 5055: Just opened a new printer. Stuck on an endless loop of "Paper Jam" when no paper has been fed to the printer AT ALL. Left Epson printers because they're forcing folks to buy their super expensive ink cartridges (they're being sued at the moment) and now HP already gave a bad 1st impression. Anyone have any suggestions to other brands?

    The roller axle just below the paper path cover of my HP Envy 5540 has popped out and I can't seem to put it back in. Is there anything that I can do to put it back in because I've been trying for an hour with no luck.

      +Itz Tetra Remove any loose paper that is accessible from the output and input tray. Gently remove any jammed paper or bits of torn paper from the output rollers. If the rollers axle has been detached then its probably a hardware issue. I recommend contacting HP Support: hp.care/2bo1oeo

      I'd rather say the error reporting is faulty - cause if a paper jam is false - logically, there should be no error on this :)
      When an error displays in an endless loop, it can be quite an annoyance.
      You could program them to show once - And then just display an icon the rest of the time (that you can press to read again).
      That way it is a lot easier to update the printer, or just use it as a scanner.
      Would be great if printers where designed to be easily repaired though..
      After clicking OK on the endless error, way too many times, I finally got to connect it online and did an update.
      But I think the problem was dust in the first axel (and maybe somewhat weak motor).
      .. Moved the ink cartridges to the left and gently turned the white cogwheel back and forth, until it was loosened up.
      Turned it off and on again
      Now it works

    I went through all of the steps in the video and still didn't find the problem.
    I then removed the metal plate below the ink cartridges (two easily accessed screws) and found a small scrap of paper.

    For some reason, my printer either jams for no reason or prints blank sheets. As in let's say i print a report 8 pages long,
    it will print: Last page, Blank Page, Second Last Page, Blank Page, Jam or Page (Jam)

    What if the paper is all scrunched in behind the rollers and you can't reach it? This advice is redundant now isn't it. No advice offered on how to remove the back panel, or any other solution as there is no means to get at it whatsoever.

    just bought hp envy printer tonight, what a pain in the ass, very first print paper jammed, i cleaned out all the paper from the jam and still get this nonstop paper jam error, all this fuckery just to be able to print, i will be returning this junk for refund tomorrow
    very disappointed never had any issues with any hp products, had low end hp laptops last 7-10 years, had basic plain printers last 10 years, have desktop going on 15 years all hp no issues, now this nonense with the neverending paper jam

      Done that , it will print the test page , it will print the smear page . After that it will print . But wait 10 minutes and nothing happens , message in tray reads error printing . This has hardley been used but whenever i do need to use it the printer fails . There are no paper jams the heads are clean , the ink levels are good . Just a total crap printer .
