This page is amazing - it's cleared many, many print jams which seem to be quite common with this (otherwise fantastic) printer. Very clear, very thorough, expertly presented advice which is especially helpful for someone as useless with IT as I am. Many thanks indeed - Five Stars for HP Support!!!!!

I've done everything shown in this video but my printer continues to show a paper jam. In fact it hasn't successfully printed a page for some time - it is completely useless. What makes it worse is there seems to be no way I can get some support from HP. My only option is to buy a new (not HP) printer.
Hi Samaira. Please search for C03246473 on HP's home page or using Google search. It is the trouble shooting document for a paper jam. However at times a carriage jam will show up as a paper jam error message. The trouble shooting document for a carriage jam is C03241387. Hope this helps.
Likewise I just wasted 20 minutes of my life. I have studiously followed every step to the letter and yet the printer continues to jam - and I can see no reason. This the second HP printer I've had, bit gave me problems. I wish I had kept my old Lexmark - which never failed and never made as much noise as the HP ones do. I'm off to buy a new printer and dump the one I have.

Thanks for shout out! That's great you were able to fix things.
Thank you. this was very helpful. I found and took out the paper jam.
+Beverley Bender Glad to hear it was useful to you. Thanks for the feedback!
So I did all the steps. The cartridges would not move after step 4 when they did so before starting. Is it time to bin the machine?
I just bought one of these. Out of 15 pages of attempted printing, only 2 have went through without jamming. It's definitely going back tomorrow.
Thanks
Strp 4 work me

Almost brand new, nothing works, 2nd HP printer I've purchased in 3 years. Ridiculous.
