That stumping was ridiculous. One of the fastest I’ve seen. He was moving his gloves to the bails before he even caught it

    2:52 - I remember this shot LIVE.
And I don't mean now that I see it again. I mean, I was actually wondering if this highlight reel was going to play it before I saw it and I waited for it in anticipation. The only thing different to my memory was that I thought it got up a bit higher.
I just remember it because little literal 10 year 2 month old me was glued to the tv, watching, absolutely gobsmacked at how easily, and the sheer display of dominance, that our DEBUTANTE keeper batsman Adam Gilchrist had over the FASTEST ENEMY BOWLER IN THE WORLD.
It was this exact shot and moment that etched the legend of Adam Gilchrist into my psyche. I just knew he'd be somebody. My 10yr old brain recognised greatness even if it couldn't comprehend or explain what it saw.

Best batsman/wicket keeper to ever play the game. A match winner so many times. Healy was great too, saved Australia so many times! Not taking any respect away from Healy but Gilchrist changed the cricket world.

Ian Healy played 119 Test Matches. He should have retired as soon as he played 100 Test Matches because Adam Gilchrist played 96 Test Matches without missing a single Test Match ever since he made his debut and he deserved to play 100+ Test Matches as Andy Flower and Adam Gilchrist are "Trendsetter Wicket Keeper Batsman". Because of them Wicket Keepers starting to improve their Batting like Kumar Sangakkara, Brendon Mccullum, MS Dhoni, Matt Prior, Quinton De Kock, Jos Buttler, BJ Watling, Jonny Bairstov,Rishab Pant, Dickwella and many more to come.

Tim Zoerher should have had a go before Healy. Tim was a twat though.
Warnie didn't even want Gilly to take the gloves...Warne. Great bowler. Absolute twat in terms of a team player.
