Informative video , having trouble to install the home button , it does work including the fingerprint scanner but the button was loose . Now it looks like the bracket needs to be installed a mm higher than flat on the glass. But what I did not like in this video that you did not bother to disconnect the battery. It’s a bit more work but the chance is that you brick the iPad when hot plugging it like you did! You were lucky it worked . But overall 👍thanks for showing the steps.

@@inkman6964 Thanks. I saw how its done and lost my apetite. If you dont have the tools (and you need whole devices not only tools) and the know how then you can forget about changing the glas. It`s A LOT of work. I would never try it. The whole thing lcd+digitizer unit costs 400 in my country so i decided to let it go

@@inkman6964 actually its not. Cause with this logic , with very "little" money like 50-100 dollars , you get a used ipad with the same specs , without haveing to do any repairs and headache. So why pay 400-500 for a repair. Not worth it.

Hi, i just change the screen few days ago and,it was that one with board so was a bit @t i realized the glass for front cam was dirty and i was stupid enough to take of the screen and clean @t the touch screen and home button don`t work anymore :(( Did work a little bit and stopped ,and again the same few times but now doesn`t work at all the touch and home button.I did remake all the joints on the connector but no luck.Please give me an advise if you have any idea.Thank you

Can you not just replace cracked glass with out replacing the lcd

@@jan-martinulvag1953 - You can replace just the glass. The problem is it's not a repair you can promise to a customer. The best way is using liquid nitrogen to freeze the glue, then you can separate the screen from the display. Alternatively you can heat the display and use strengthened metal cutting wire in between the display and glass. The 12.9 pro is hard to do as the leverage on the far end of the screen just lifting it 1 or 2 mm the other side is enough to break the display. Usually a repair company will charge to replace the display completely and if we can repair the old ones then it's more profit for the next job.

iveco555 you mean just the touch screen?? We’ve never done that on an iPad Pro. But that is a messy and time consuming repair. I would not recommend doing that. Thank you

If you think you have the skills and tools to do iPad repairs, you will either have, or have access to, a heat gun or know to use a hair dryer for warming up the device to work on it.
