Steps to fix your device.
1. Heat up the bezel of the screen. Once heated up get a thin metal pic underneath.
2. Use the metal pick to get a plastic pic underneath.
3. Pry up the screen carefully around the edges using a heat gun and a lot of patients
4. Unscrew and unplug the face ID ribbon
5. Unscrew and unplug the Display and touch ribbons
6. Remove the screen and any old adhesive on the housing
7. Remove the magnets from the old screen
8. Carefully remove the face ID ribbon, this is the most delicate part, Follow Dmitri's steps
9. Use our thin, double sided tape along the housing and add the magnets into place
10. Assemble the Face ID ribbon onto the new screen
11. Plug everything back into the new screen and assemble the screen back into the housing
12. Congrats you are now a repair ninja!

@@Joesge FYI, the Face ID is not tethered to the board. I switched it fifth generation into a sixth and Face ID works without switching the flexes.

I couldn’t off it because the touch was not working…but after plugging out the screen connectors and and plugging it again it doesn’t display anymore even tho i can hear the sound shen i take a screenshot. And i raised the motherboard a bit to disconnect with the battery terminal and reboot it but still

Nope its not necessary. Just make sure the iPad is off.

Thank you for the reply. I have a 6th gen ipad pro 12.9 inch and can’t seem to find a lcd and digitizer that states clearly it is for my model iPad, but i found a retailer that states their lcd is for the 5th gen iPad pro. Just did not want to run into any compatibility issues.
