I am really enjoying these latest videos of Mr Chaundhary going into these restaurants, going in to the kitchens, talking to the staff, seeing how the foods are made...even doing some to the prep himself. Here, you are not allowed to be in a restaurant kitchen unless you are kitchen staff, due to health regulations, so this is nice to see. @toolbaggers Well, I'm vegan, so that's already a given for me, but there are plenty options for that in NYC, plus Mr. Chaudry eats meat (halal, naturally).
Having been to both Naples and NY, ordering their excellent pizza isn't what blows your mind. It's making it yourself with that inspiration, the heart warming fun of stretching it out and decorating your creation. Pizza is incredibly easy to make, but perfecting it takes years and you are always learning something new.

The beautiful thing about pizza as a format is you can adobt any regions food as toppings, and make it uniquely to your own region and palate in the world.
@@chris-vecchio Yeah, here in Pakistan they are more concerned with topping up the pizza. I have to specifically mention everytime to put extra pizza sauce.
Good pizza doesn't have much sauce. If too much, crust will be soggy and toppings (especially when there are many) may be underdone. It's a delicate balance to get the proportions right. For me, this was too much crust. (I prefer thin crust over pan pizza.) I will say it could have been spread more evenly. A New York pizza chef would probably use a shallow ladle to both deposit, then circularly spread the sauce, before applying cheese and other toppings.
I really enjoy these videos of them exploring local businesses and restaurants! I'm learning more about where they live, and I love seeing them learn as well. We all certainly have more in common than we sometimes think!
To everyone getting in a tizz about metal container in an oven, they are referring to a microwave oven. Chaudhary has one in his house and they call it an oven, not a long complicated word like microwave! Very few people have traditional ovens in their homes in Pakistan
In Pakistan when people say “oven”, what they are actually referring to is a microwave. People use the term “oven” and “microwave” synonymously. Hence why Mr Chaudary made the statement about metal making ovens explode. Real ovens are very scarce in Pakistan, and not many people (especially from the less developed areas) know they exist. The most important part of pizza preparation is making the dough. This requires wheat flour with a high protein content (approx. 14%). Once the dough has been kneaded properly, it must be left to rest in the fridge for between 12 and 72 hours before being processed further. Moulding the pizza dough is also an art in itself. You can also make a quicker version of the pizza dough, but even then the dough needs at least 4 hours to mature, during which it must be stretched and folded about three times at 45-minute intervals. It does not need to be refrigerated.
Watching Mr. Chaudhary enjoying foods that we take for granted in America makes me think that if everyone in the world had pizza, hamburgers, fried chicken, and steak, there would be no more fighting between nations!
I'm making pizza tonight too, a deep dish in a cast iron pan. I prefer brick oven pizza but you work with what you got, they always taste better when you make them yourself.
You have tomato sauce and cherry tomatoes already, there's no reason to ever think of ketchup. There's one kind of pizza I know has never been on this channel, smoked salmon pizza with pesto sauce aka The West Coast Salmon Pizza created in British Columbia, Canada, it's very popular here and one I make at home 3 or 4 times a year. Salmon is one of the more expensive toppings and pesto is a bit more difficult to make if you do it traditionally with a mortar and pestle like I do, so I think of it as a "special occasion" pizza.
You can put metal pan in the oven. As long as it's made for oven. Other than glass there's no other material you can use for oven. Use metal pan to bake.
Made me laugh when he said how clean the kitchen was then i see the wall is filthy where they make the pizza, different countries different degrees of cleanliness
