Yes! You are officially the first reactor that HEARD Kevin when he joined in after putting away his cello while the others sang the Choral part of the song! I am more than wowed every time I watch this!!! It's a theatrical, riveting performance! And Mitch takes his BEAUTIFUL, velvety voice and makes our jaws drop (Avi got that reaction out of me too) and chills break out and we are so riveted, silent because we're afraid we're going to miss something...and then he belts it Triple Forté with so much power we're knocked backwards, first pumping and exclaiming Yes! YES! then he does it again. 😶 Hits a note so high, with so much power and still sounding smooth as butter. He just HAS to pause after it! Diva just schooled us all and we have lost our minds and are screaming, cheering, clapping..totally losing it while he allows us to bask in the knowledge that oh yes, he did just do that. Took us even further than we've ever gone during an always perfect PTX performance. He just holds that pose..Letting it sink in...giving us time to regain our self control. I love that total diva moment!! oh. Whew! Never gets old...watching this performance! Oh. Mitch! Way to slay it! Subscribed!
I'm always confused by people who are like "I guess Kevin's not there?" even as you can clearly his amazing percussion driving the song forward. How can you not hear the man???
this is one of the performances that truly proves how great they are. and how mitch slays EVERYONE.

I've watched the main video lots of times, and I keep rewatching people's reactions to it too. I've even watched other live performances of this same song by them, but they just don't have the same energy level as this one. Too bad the audio is so distorted. Props for at least hearing Kevin in the song and knowing he's gotta be there somewhere. With the camera so focused on Mitch (not a bad thing) it's easy to forget you're watching Pentatonix and just think that all those other sound are just prerecorded music playing while Mitch sings (and those facial expressions 'in character'! Whew!). Even more amazing when you remind yourself to listen to all of them in the song too! Great reaction! Glad you loved it as much as I do!
Re: The audio distortion... I think it's very possible that Avi's ultra low bass note in the transition from "Christus Factus Est" into "Aha" might have blown some of the speakers because through the rest of the song, on the low bass notes the sound was very fuzzy and ragged like there were tears in the fabric of the woofers. It wouldn't be the first time, nor the last, that Avi has blown up a speaker.
AHHHH YES. I saw this in my subscriptions and I was SO PUMPED. This video like always makes people lose it (I still get chills and I've seen it like 15 times by now? low estimate) and I was like hot damn, this is gonna be a FUN reaction. lol
I love that Mitch just LOVES performing this song. They performed this last night at some radio station Christmas ball and I timed that pause/pose after that massive note, and he held it for just over ten solid seconds. ~The Drama~ I love it. lol And as Avi has said in the past, Mitch sounds like a 'beautiful baby angel on this song.'

Kevin had left the stage for just a minute to put his cello away -:he got back quickly but the camera person kept his or her focus on Mitch (for some reason 😉 )
I mean Kevin came back on stage after the Opera part, before Aha to put back his cello (did a performance before that)

You can see Mitch start walking toward the center position when Avi starts his solo. Scott also moves over and Kevin takes the far right position. There is a very brief video by someone else who was at this concert which show this for about 15 seconds, at "Shaun Chew First of June" at 9:46.

They started out with a gap in the middle between Mitch and Kirstie. When Aha! starts, Mitch and Scott move over a spot, so Mitch is now in the middle, side by side with Kirstie. Kevin was on the end next to Scott. You can hear his fast beatboxing for the song, something Avi wouldn't have been able to do in addition to his part (something other viewers had thought). Why they didn't pan to show Kevin, who knows? But he's there.
As for Mitch, that as much in The Zone as you'll ever see a singer. Homeboy went unconscious for a couple of minutes there.
