I wanna eat everything in this video. It's especially great to see how much you two enjoy each food. Ma lai goh is my mom's favourite! I can't wait to come back to Japan someday!!
Oh my goodness!! So much to choose from! The crispy squid, baked bao, and Peking duck would definitely be my favs! Thank you boys for filming and sharing all of the yummy foods with us! ♥️
I love seeing how much happier you guys are now, vs. the middle of 2020. Satoshi's confidence in his speaking skills have improved so much! It is always a delight seeing you both so happy.
Thank you for showing us these new and exciting places, especially during these trying times. It gives many of your viewers hope and something to look forward to. Thank you!
The more I watch you guys, themore I fall in love with Japan and both of you. Your passion for the food, the different places and the beauty of your amazing country has embraced my heart and has made me cry sooooo many times from happiness at your loyalty and devotion. Blessings on you both.
Been a few years since I visited Yokohama so its lovely to see the place again. I do a full day trip so I can see all the different areas and Chinatown is a fave of mine.
Definitely want to go there and try everything you ate ! the deep-fried squid crunch though... Pure asmr 🤩 Thanks for this delicious streetfood tour guys, it really brings happiness during these hard times !
I love these street videos. Not only does the food look delicious, but the gates and buildings are beautiful! Thank you so much for sharing your culture. 👍🏻🥰❤️
The Shu Mai, soup dumplings, crispy squid and the chashu buns had me drooling!! Shinichi you and Satoshi need your own television show, I'd watch everyday
Oh how I miss Japan!! we go every year and this year, your amazing video is making us miss our 3rd home very much. Super love your sweet food videos...keep up the great work. Can’t wait to be back again.
I miss this tabieats, I know you guys still do vlogging together. But I don't know why I say I miss this kind of tabieats, maybe bec of the music intro, maybe bec also I see lots of people around while vlogging, or maybe bec I lately watch you guys do videos separately, and if you do are together, you're at home tasting snacks or outside but doing "separate" videos.....I don't know....I might just be thinking of things lol but anyway, love this! Thanks! Stay safe you guys!
3:35 tip for eating xiao long bao (soup dumplings) without burning your mouth or spilling the soup: bite a small hole at the top, then suck out the soup. Alternatively, pour it out into a spoon, and/or use the hole to add vinegar into the dumpling to cut through the umami
Night time at Yokohama’s CT looks amazing. And the street snacks you chose are definitely the ones I’d eat. The crispy squid and the charsiu are of my taste. Thank you 🙏🏼
Such a beautiful and quaint neighborhood and the food looks so delicious 🤗😍 the steamed buns yum reminded me of the bun in the Japanese anime Spirited Away 🤗😍
I am going to Japan in 2 weeks and Chinatown in Yokohama was on my "to do" list! This video helped me a lot to see what kinds of food I can find and for sure I will try most of what was shown on this video
Ohhhh...you're making me so hungry!! Chinatown has amazing food that you're enjoying!! Everything looks and sounds fresh, crunchy, delicious!! Huge bao bun/niko bun looks so good!! Sai yuki bun char shu has rich, buttery taste?? Temples are amazing looking! Pine nuts & anko bars look delish! Steamed custard cake: yum. Peaking duck, crispy skin! Beautiful!! Love this tour! Deep fried squid! Thanks!!!
I just drooled the entire video.. I hate that I cannot get to Japan this year.. please let this horrid pandemic be over next year so we can get back to travel and food experiences like these... Thanks for sharing guys, even if it did make me very jealous... :)
In Yokohama Chinatown can you find steamed white sugar sponge cake (白糖糕 BÁI TÁNG GĀO in Mandarin and Bak Tong Gao in Cantonese) a traditional Chinese dessert made with Rice flour, sugar, and instant yeast are the only three ingredients you need to prepare this classic Chinese steamed rice cake (bai tang gao), and a steamer.
I think Yokohama Chinatown is the most beautiful and cleanest Chinatown anywhere, including Asia and the west. All the dumplings and pastries look legit and delicious, but expensive, more expensive than in the US. The big steamed bao cost 500 yen. In the US, it would cost about USD 2.50.
I've never really been to Chinatown before, only once to Yokohama becase a classmate of mine wanted to try out a Mexican restaurant there, even though I passed through the city a lot to go elsewhere hahaha. I know my mother wants to go so I think next time when I'm back in Tokyo with her we'll probably go. The squid looks sooo delicious!!! and the shashu bun as well. But honestly any snackm especially the savoury ones, I would be fine with :)
Soup dumplings yum 😋 I really wanted a bite of the first one hello Shinichi and Satochi love the music 🎶 in the back ground ! Have you been to China Town in Southern California ? Not the one in San Francisco 👋😋
The only thing with street food in Japan is that it is relatevely expensive. In most counteies street food is about 2 to 5 euros, in Japan 500 is the starting price. Also for a little more you can eat a bowl of ramen at a restaurant...
Hello you two.. I'm not a fan of Chinese food at all but tune in when I can.. I really miss your Saturday night Sunday for you guys .. live videos.. we used to get them here in Wisconsin Saturday night's 10:30 or 11 and it was about one in Japan ..and it was live.. I miss those :-( :-( :-( enjoy the rest of your week.. pretty sure you guys do not have Thanksgiving in Japan ..no I don't think so.. but yeah you guys stay safe..😷😷😷
I want to try them all especially the dumpling with the soup and the fried squid! 🤤 Is there any way you can make that for us? What were the seasonings on it?
