👍 ... I did something similar with the four analog sections on my JD-XA; it's good to understand how common electronic drum sounds can be formed. Thanks for sharing. Best Regards, Axel.
Even since getting a Volca Drum I've been making my Pro 3 make drum beats too. If Volca drum could play notes easier, could just be a regular synthesizer. I've made it play some Bach, just to see if I can, but it required tuning every single note.
I got a hydra synth 49 a few weeks ago. It’s a beast and really surprisingly fat. Could be fatter with dual layers with the deluxe but i don’t have anymore room for another canoe. 😂
The limitation is the envelopes. I'm using a much shorter amplitude envelope on the "click" sound. You might be able to get around that by using an envelope to control another parameter on your "click" oscillator - maybe pitch?
This light be a random question, but if you had to pick one premium synth to be in your studio, what would it be? I only have room for 2 full size Synths, and I love my System 8 too much to replace it, so I have one slot to upgrade, and I'm trying to figure out what to put there. Right now it's a King Korg, but thats going to change
I was listening on a laptop. I just went to get my deepest headphones but still sounds like someone knocking at the door. lol Don't worry I'm only half way in.
This is making me GAS real bad for a Hydrasynth even more than I was before.
The menu and sound creation seems so straightforward on this beast!
I use a resonant filter (tuned low) with a gentle falling envelope for the skin sound - always seems to work well.

Great job
I've been using my old SH-101 along with a transient shaping vst for making kicks/percussion recently. It's quick, easy and sounds great!
Rev 2 does some very nice percussive sounds, when you turn up the resonance it gets super wild too, I've used this synth time and again for my drums.

The Novation Summit can really do a great job of creating a kick drum sound. Similar parameter tweaks. A little reverb and chorus helps immensely.
Definitely, it's more than capable of doing exactly what I showed here.
Great 👍
Not sure if you clarified but the HydraSynth Deluxe is the only one that is bi-timbral.
Please cover the news about korg ps-3300 reissue a legendry synthesizer by korg for namm show 2024 .
Good one Scott. I have the OG 49key Hydra. Pretty sure I could just do that with the mixer and the single layer, no?

- Cool.

My Montage M7 gets used on virtually everything I do, just because it's SO capable. If we're talking about pure synth, it would be the Hydrasynth.
