I didn't know this was a feature film as well. It's kinda weird seeing that series on Netflix came out not to long ago.
Yeah the Netflix series was enjoyable, and honestly I knew about the show's existence before the movie's. I learned about it when I was looking for DVDs to rent and for a brief moment I thought it was a continuation of the series.

I saw the tv series last year and i love the whole story. Like you said it is a heartwarming story and sometimes i even laughed ( in the early episodes) on how an unexperienced player like the dad is holding the joystick and interact in the game. You see him grown not only in the game but also grown as a human towards his family. I also like the mom. She reminds me of my mom. And my mom loved playing the Gameboy. So she made a deal with me that i get a Super Nintendo so she could keep the Gameboy. 😂
I like how they did the crossover scenes from the real world to the Final Fantasy world. All the characters are nice people or atleast there wasn't a single moment that i hate them. It is such a nice family. Love the series so i am pretty interested to see the movie. Thanks for this review!!
Loved the show! Especially the scene where they bought the first final fantasy game and when the kid walked in on his dad fighting a boss in the middle of the night.
Yeah haha the show had a lot of nice moments like that! Would definitely like to know what you thought of the movie if you ever get the chance to watch it.

Really give FFXIV a shot the game is fantastic. The movie was also super great as well.

Yeah I was surprised too. For some reason I thought this was gonna be a continuation of the show because I saw that more heavily advertised. In the end, I enjoyed the movie a lot more.
