    The drone shots are so calming after a stressful day. I could have this video play as a screen saver. I’ve already got one of your photos set as my background! Bloody amazing. I’d love a x75 but the misses would kill me lol

    Of all multi-LEDs high-power flashlights currently on the market, the X75 is the only one with a proper thermal and electrical design. This shows as the X75 being able to emit ~ 20,000 Lumens for half hour, independent of temperature and battery charge level. No other light is capable of such a feat, and it is almost a reason for celebrating! The X75 is pretty expensive, but - for the time being - is the only light in its class to be worth every pound (or dollar) paid.
    Thank you for the review.

    I Like the warm colour and spread, thinking it would suit me well here, even if its missing a longer mid high mode. ;-)
    Ps, its been sold, and Its just arrived, impressive is my first impression( also have skyray kings, sofirn Q8's, mateminco mt70, fireflies rot66 etc)
    One thing i really like so far, is the sliding lockout, mainly because it also locks the buttons when torch is on. (Finding i like to lock it on ultra low mode, for general use walking the dog so far). Turbo in our local park, was like the park just had all round stadium lights installed and turned on, impressive. Max distance with some mist in the air, fell short of the mt70's hot spot, that i just compared too, but the wide and bright coverage at a good distance, is excellent.

    Hi J.. just finish reading your thread an hour ago.. yes.. high lumens does heat up.. glad the stepdown is fast 😄.. would've been a lot hotter if it was ms12.
    Just seeing the copper heatsink, and generous ventilation, seems R&D put lot of effort to this light.
    I always see this sort of lumen monster as a tool; to help the operator illuminate vast area with dispersion wide enough they can scan without moving the light too much, and at limited duration (imagine continuously blasting 10k+ lumens of photons for a casual 60 minutes stroll).
    My EC06 is my limit (for now).. now i have the urge for a 'floody' thrower..
    Thank you J
    Cheers

      I personally would prefer something with a little more range myself, much more useful out on the farm. Acebeam have mentioned they're thinking of an X75 based thrower which could be interesting.

    • @relayerrelayer8226
      @relayerrelayer8226 2 роки тому

      @@PiercingTheDarkness There's compromise to it. For range, reflector is essential. GT90, GT94, A1etc.
      Flashlight manufacturer should spend longer time calculating their reflector build( for different led configuration)

      It's a great flashlight, but...yes there's a but 😂 I do prefer my Imalent SR16 for the extra range. It just depends on what you enjoy, whether that's a wide flood beam or getting a bit more reach. There is the XHP70.3 HI version of the X75 though which offers a little more range.

    I know it is rated for 30 seconds on turbo, but I read a review on Candlepowerforums where they ran this light for a little over 60 seconds on turbo before it dropped down. What runtime did you actually get on turbo?

    • @PiercingTheDarkness
      @PiercingTheDarkness  2 місяці тому

      @@mwstoll better to look at the 1Lumen review for the runtime graphs. I didn't test the lumens or make graphs because it was too large for my setup. I sold the X75 immediately afterwards since I never use anything I review.

      @@PiercingTheDarkness Thanks for the reply. Maybe another question...I have a MS12W Mini. Do you think the X75 5000k or 6500k color would be in more alignment to the MS12W?

    • @PiercingTheDarkness
      @PiercingTheDarkness  2 роки тому +4

      6500K is spe'd at the 80,000, so it should be a tiny bit brighter. I personally like the warmer color temperature, so I think that'll just come down to personal preference as to what someone prefers.

    • @PiercingTheDarkness
      @PiercingTheDarkness  2 роки тому +2

      @@Shadoweee it is, yes, but the camera's sensor is better than most of the others. The extra weight helps it to not be blown in the wind too much as well. When using multiple flashlights it would be a mess to get the frames to match otherwise. The Sofirn IF22A thumbnail was a 20 second exposure which would be impossible to pull off with a smaller model 😊

    For a $450 light an integrated pack seems sketchy. Li-ion cells fail all the time. I had varios li-ion cells fail randomly, and I simply don't trust integrated li-ion packs. Failure rate is just too high.

    • @PiercingTheDarkness
      @PiercingTheDarkness  2 роки тому +5

      That's why there's a lot of different models to suit everyone. You certainly wouldn't achieve 80K with individual cells that's for sure. Price is $399 which is currently the best in comparison to other models. Great price in my opinion regardless of the battery pack. I'm not a big fan of an integrated pack either, but honestly some people like them. When you think about it, it's no different than buying a laptop...
