Hi GrazzetMTG, appreciate you doing this video! If it isn't too much trouble would you be able to add in the Sidegrades and Further Upgrades to the list above in terms of cards to swap with? Thank you very much in advance!
Really great upgrade guide! I’ve had the deck for about a week and have already watched/read a bunch of upgrade guides, but you still found some great cards that I haven’t seen before- at such low prices too! I also really appreciate your concise but clear and thorough explanations for why cards were worth being cut/worth adding to the deck, it really helped me contextualize and assess the suggestions for what I would want/need for my deck/playgroup.
I'll be building and ordering this deck today! I have to say, that even though you have a small channel for now, you have some of the most consistent budget builds, and of the 12 decks I do have, 8 of them have come from this channel. Your hard work and dedication to this is astounding. Your video format, tone of voice, and music selection while presenting sound reasons for putting certain cards in, is all just so cohesive. You deserve the very best and I will continue to watch you. Hope this channel continues to grow.
Glad you enjoyed the build and thank you for your kinds words! With support from folks like you, I'm sure this channel will continue to flourish and grow!
I'm happy to see upgrade guides for this precon that focus around commanders that aren't Trazyn the Infinite. Granted, I also turned mine into a Trazyn combo deck...
I also did these changes: Necron Overlord > Skeleton Shard Tomb Blade > Unwinding Clock Necron Monolith > Bolas Citadel Lychguard > Foundry Inspector Plasmancer > Shimmer Myr Also I swapped out Tamiyo Journal for Trading Post Can it be okay? And lastly I’d like to know if Triplicate Titan can be more powerful than Phyrexian Triniform in 1v1 I appreciate your contents ❤
Something I find interesting with these 40k precons is that the majority of each deck is almost custom as it is. That as players and builders we would take and use from the vast magic library the very things we walk away from when a new set arises. In a way i think that this is a part of why we keep waiting for the next new thing- to solve it and move on. I dont speak for everyone and this is perfectly fine and merely an observative opinion. I was given the necron deck as a gift and want to play with it beyond its "common interest lifespan" but i also want to stay within the 40k universe theme. So my solution was to view the 40k decks as a set to keep borders and artstyle as a theme. Ive ordered every vehicle and black card from the 40k singles as a sort of sideboard for the precon. There are a great many cards in the mtg archives that can be added ofcourse, bringing the warhammer decks to a fuller aspect of power and resilience but i think it will be fun and funny to break out this precon with it looking like a precon visually while being upgraded almost unnoticably. Dark ritual, blight grenade, nurgles conscription, the primarch demon and the vehicles that arent in the necron build will be added. (Dark ritual, blight grenade and nurgles conscription should be in the necron build imo.) Ive also ordered the basic swamps with the art i like most to match up the manabase. I do have every card from your upgrade list including a few more like cabal coffers and others. I really wish wotc wouldve made some of these known "better upgrade type cards" a part of the 40k release, even if only as a small expansionary set of theme boosters for it, and even if they had a small premium on cost i guess i would deal with it. Wotc needs to step up their game lol. Not with a warehouse of reprints but moreso a small contingent of thematic art subset. Secret lair is wild but could be more viable for this. Although i get that budget is a big thing. The necron deck is quite impressive, as is the tyranid and imperium(ive yet to see chaos play in my lgs casual setting) Over time my necrons will be taking over the universe- with each victory they will annex components found among the wreckage of my opponents. So i definitely look forward to defeating players with nice collections of black cards, vehicles and artifacts along the way! As always i love your content and want more, keep up the good fight friend and may your conquests be glorious!
I get where your coming from - these decks are and flavor as so unique to Warhammer 40k that any changes made to make the deck more viable can end up hurting its aesthetic. I while I think it may be unlikely that WotC will be releasing any more Warhammer 40k themed stuff in the immediate future - alters and proxies can always be used with Games Workshop or custom art if you're in the marker to bling out you deck with Warhammer 40k flavor.
Well, looks like we have perfected the art of Egyptian Zombie Skynet! Perfect for taking revenge on the C'than, Old Ones and all the zoomer species who don't know what they are dealing with! Good job as always! Day 442 of waiting for the Grazzet MTG face reveal. Funny how the Inquisition ended up being the easiest to expect out of the whole 40k CutRate miniseries... did you expect that to happen?
Glad you enjoyed the build and thanks for the support as usual! Well, to be fair, the Imperial Inquisitors are not exactly subtle - so you always have to be expecting them unless you want to end up branded a heretic for missing your daily prayers to the Emperor.
Are you going to do any decklists for any of the acorn commanders from Unfinity? I've just opened Nocturno of Myra's Marvels. Do you think it would be better to build around the word Sacrifice with Dargo as the partner or the word Graveyard with Glacian as the partner?
I'm willing to do it but sadly I just don't have the time at the moment - but Unfinity builds may be something I come back it if/when I have the time! Between the 2 options, I think Nocturno + Dargo is going to give you more options, since Radkos has a lot of sacrifice focuses card that can make use of the draw Nocturno provides.
Honestly, it can. Both commanders are graveyard focused, so swapping them for each other is perfectly fine and the build should be able to accommodate for it.
great upgrades, sadly i am going for imotekh as commander,,, since he also work on graveyard mechanics i hope that at least 80% of this upgrade will be good includes for imotekh ,,, thank you for your videoes ;)
im just building this deck for the first time, bought it not too long ago, i versed a dragon deck and managed to win solely off of darkness so i dont know why its a bad card. It costs only 1 to use and prevents all combat damage that turn, i would make the argument that for the price, it should stay in.
For the straight upgrades, do you have any recommendations on who to swap out for Mycosynth and Wurmcoil? Maybe even Metalworker if I become crazy enough to upgrade into it?

I put unwinding clock in mine as well. You are the first person who has suggested that as well.
if I got mycosynth, wurmcoil, and metalworker, what cards should i swap out to slot them in?
Ordered more Burnished Hearts...
Beautiful upgrade Man! Have all the cards you threw in minus the Heart. Thx again Graz
Glad you enjoyed it!

Great video! All of your upgrade guides are amazing!
Glad you like them!
Perfect timing. I just got this deck
Hope you enjoyed the build!
so far the upgrades on these decks are great, still hoping we can get our hands on them
Glad you're enjoying them! Hopefully WotC will reprint more of them so we can get more on the market and bring those inflated prices down.
thank you so much for the guide.
No problem!

Seems like some great upgrades. I agree that the deck needs a bit more recursion synergies so I’m excited to implement this!
Glad you agree and enjoyed the build!
do you prefer Skeleton Shard or Phyrexian Reclamation?
If y’all don’t like the video and subscribe, I won’t pay the 1!
Always pay the 1!

Glad you've been enjoying the builds! Honestly, in this build you can just swap Szarekh for Imotekh and it would work almost as well.
